hello . u do some precautions as u can't sit on floor,use Western toilet, For pain relief u take hot water Fermentation on both knee for 15 minutes. Now u do exercises. 1. Bend ur knee with heel slide as possible without pain then hold for second then straight it. do 10 times with both knee. 2 . Take a towel roll and place under knee and press it downward hold for 5 second and relax it. do 10 time with both knee.

I am 66 years old and under medication for B p for last 30 years and for sugar for last 6 years. I have also under gone a spinal cord operation for disc prolapse (l 4, l 5) 14 yrs before. My bp and sugar are under control. Now I am feeling numbness in my legs. Especially in night and early morning. Is due to b p, sugar or spinal cord problem.

Hi lybrate-user. Most commonly the back pain is related to bad posture and lack of exercise. Meet a physiotherapist and get an advise regarding proper posture and fillow it. Try some back strengthening exercises if pain allows. If pain persists you should consult a specialist.

Good morning Sir I have a ligament tear on my right hand shoulder I took MRI scan. I have consulted a doctor he told that it is a partial tear and he advised me to take rest for 3 months and he gave some medicines but after 2 months I started playing badminton it is paining now. Hot Fomentation. Gentle Shoulder Stretching. Core Strengthening Exercises. Gentle Neck Exercises. Avoid sleeping on affected side.. Warm up and cool down is a must. Hot fomentation.

Hi Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day..

I am having lower back pain and in the muscles of back thighs and knee joints since last six months and not able to walk except smaller distances. I Ave consulted Orthopaedic and Neurology Doctors but didn't achieve relief. This is due to reduction of gap between two of the bones of Spine.

It's because of the spinal Canal stenosis mostly at you r age and it's most common. If you have MRI scan Donne. Probably you will get answer. Simple one like Epidural injection or decompression surgery Or Major like fusion surgery These options will be easy if you don't have major comorbid conditions.

Hi I can understand your problem. Apply cold pack for 20 min. Thrice a day for 5 days. Physiotherapist can teach you exercises to help stretch and strengthen the muscles in your shoulder joint and arm muscles. Do reply for specific treatment plan. Wishing you a good health.

Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

From last few months, cracking/popping sound coming from knee while squatting, sometimes during walking/jogging. There has been no injury as such, no injury pain but knees feel exhausted most of the times and esp. After driving. Have done through few tests, have Vitamin D deficiency but calcium is fine. Checked with a physiotherapist, he said it's normal but still I'm not sure.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. It is common to have lower back pain at this age group, especially females, causes are many, there can be some early spine degeneration associated with weak muscles of your back and improper posture etc. If you have a localized back pain with no leg symptoms like pain, numbness, weakness, paraesthesia's etc, my advise will be initially: - to maintain proper posture while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Massage with any oil as far as it doesn't irritate the skin. In this hot weather dehydration alli causes body aches . keep well hydrated . at least 3 LTS water daily Also take limewater with salt and sugar Get her hb, bp, blood sugar checked

I love running either on tread mill or long routes on road. But recently in feeling little pain in my knees. Sometimes I feel stain in knees while sitting on floor. What should I do to cure it and what precautionary measures I should take ?

Use good quality running shoes and change them every 3-6 months depending upon distance you run. Run on soft surface as far as possible. Avoid tar roads, tracks are good option or sand, grass.
