I brush my teeth every day and night. But still I have a cavity and removed teeth and put the cap. Y.

BDS

I brush my teeth every day and night. But still I have a cavity and removed teeth and put the cap. Y.
Brushing two times doesnot stop cavitation in tooth totally. Rinse your mouth with water after food, try to avoid eating junk foods in daytime n before sleeping. Use mouth wash. There are many reasons for cavitation like food lodgement, oral hygiene practice, tooth n saliva composition, type of bacteria and their virulence capacity, hereditary and so on. Visit dentist every 6 months for dental check up.

Hello, itching on tooth could be because of wearing of enamel due to teeth biting. You need to visit a dentist and get it checked. Ask for a night guard. You need to relax. After tooth removal: 1. Take out the cotton dressing after half an hour after tooth removal. 2. Be on cold liquid diet for 2 days. 3. Don't spit vigorously on the day of removal. 4. On the day of removal don't rinse your mouth with water or any liquid. 5. Don't eat anything from the side of tooth removal for 2-3 days. 6. Day after removal rinse your mouth with saline (salt) water. You do this thrice a day for 1 week. This will keep food particles out of socket and enhance healing. 7. Don't touch the wound with fingers or even tongue which contaminates it and will take longer to heal. 8. You can have 1 capsule of b complex with vitamin c for better nutrition that favors healing. Sir tooth stains are due to the oil and turmeric content of the food. You cannot prevent staining but you can minimize it by regular rinsing after meals.

I have few symptoms for couple of days. Swollen groin, gum bleeding. What should I do. Feeling pain.
Few advice to stop bleeding gums-- - visit to a dentist for professional cleaning once in a year - use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water to keep the area clean. - avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth. - stay away from smoking and other tobacco products, which can aggravate bleeding gums.

I had completed my root canal treatment for my right molar tooth before 2 months. After root canal also it is paining...
Sometimes pain after root canal treatment occurs due to extent of infection or it can be due to some part of infected tissue left behind so in both the cases consult dentist and you should get capping done after getting relieved from pain as this is also required for long term prognosis of your teeth as well as save tooth from fracturing as tooth becomes brittle after root canal treatment.

Hello. I am suffering from vomiting problem. Everyday when I woke up and at the time of brushing my teeth I am feelin...
The vomit sensation you are talking about is known as Gag Reflex. It is a protective mechanism of the human body to avoid the entrance of any unwanted material down the throat. In your case, you are experiencing the reflex while brushing, that means your brushing pattern might be wrong. You are taking your brush to much deeper areas than required. Also, you might not be cleaning your tongue properly. Visit your dentist and ask him about some correct brushing patterns and start using a tongue cleaner. Whenever you experience gag try to focus on some other activity or object, such as your big toe. It diverts you and thus the gag stops. Avoid mouth breathing, that increases the gag. If the problem persists even after changing your brushing/cleaning pattern and avoiding mouth breathing there is more to it. Pay a visit to both your dentist and gasteroenterologist.

2 Biggest Dental Mistakes that Indians Make!

BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
2 Biggest Dental Mistakes that Indians Make!
2 Biggest dental mistakes that Indians make!

Your dental health chiefly depends on the way you care for your teeth and gums. Most Indians consider maintaining oral health a very simple thing, and end up committing quite a few dental blunders as a result. As a result, a whopping 95% of the population in India suffers from gum disease! (Source: National Oral Health Programme)

Read on to find which of these dental mistakes you are making and how to avoid them.

1. Not flossing your teeth
Flossing plays a significant role in getting rid of sticky bacteria or plaque from your teeth. The acid generated by dental plaque is the chief cause behind oral cavities, gum irritation and various other gum diseases. Flossing is essential for cleaning the space between your teeth and in turn eliminating most of the bacteria present in your mouth. This is the very reason it should not be ignored. However in India, well over 70% of the population does not floss.

2. Not regularly visiting the dentist
Most Indians have the habit of not visiting the dentist at regular intervals due to laziness, a forgetful nature or fear. Quite a few hold the common belief that if they aren’t experiencing a toothache, they don’t need to visit the dentist at all. Only 2% of Indians visit the dentist. This often puts you in greater risks of developing a gum disease, which may require painful and costly treatment in the future. So, make it a priority to visit the dentist at least once every year to ensure better dental health.
