Vaginal dryness is a common but treatable problem that many women experience at some point in their lives. It can be a problem at any age, but is a particular issue for women who are going through or have experienced the menopause. Don't ignore a dry vagina or feel embarrassed to seek help if it's a problem for you. You can use any gel available in market. Talk to your gynecologist before using any. Take care

I was on krimson 35 from november. Doctor prescribed me to start from 5th day of the cycle. But did not remember if I have started from 4th or 5th. Pill pack ended timely and bleeding occurred in the 7 day break. I again started dec pill pack from the 5th day of period (may be the gap was 8 days. My dec pill pack ended on 24th dec (usually take the pill from 9-11 pm at night. Never missed any pill. On 25th dec partner rubbed his unprotected genitals on my butt (no intercourse, no ejaculation, he went to toilet before the act). Bleeding occurred from 28th dec-2nd January. Again started jan pill pack from 5th day. This time the gap was 7 days. And I took the pill on same time each day. Pill pack ended on 21st jan and bleeding occurred from 25th January to 29th january. My feb pack got over on 18th February and period started from 22nd feb to 27th feb Every time bleeding was light on the first day and got heavier on third day and from fourth day night it becomes lesser and it comes regularly on 4th day of stopping pill. My march pill got over on 18th march. And period started from 22nd march-27th march. No sex activity after 25th dec. Is their any chance of pregnancy since I had certain confusion with November pill regarding the pill free interval. Since no ejaculation or intercourse, will it be able for sperms in precum to make you conceive? Is their any chance of conceiving? M I safe.

no, you can't get pregnant because you have been taking tablets regularly and effect of pills remains for a month or so after stopping the tablets some women have to wait for months if they wish to get pregnant some get pregnant the very next month as pills do regularize periods both of these aren't applicable in your case. you have got a period after pills why worry

What Type Of Diet Should Be Followed During Pregnancy?

What Type Of Diet Should Be Followed During Pregnancy?

When you are expecting, you are eating not only to nourish your body, but also to nourish the foetus growing within you. This has led to the common saying that when pregnancy, ‘eat for two’. However, more than the quantity you eat, it is important for you to make the right choices when it comes to what you are eating. Here are a few foods you should include in your diet to have a healthy pregnancy.

  1. Fruit and vegetables: Fruits and vegetables are rich sources of vitamins and minerals essential for your baby’s growth and development and to give you the energy you need. They also add fibre to your food and help prevent constipation thereby helping the digestive system function smoothly. To get the most benefits from fruits and vegetables, try eating them raw as much as possible.
  2. Starchy foods: Cereals and grains are essential carbohydrates that are needed when pregnant. To avoid excessive calorie intake, stay away from processed carbohydrates and instead pick whole grains, potatoes, unpolished rice, maize, millets etc to be part of your diet.
  3. ProteinProtein helps build muscle tissue and promotes development in the growing baby. It also helps with the development of the baby’s brain. Meat, fish, eggs, legumes, pulses and nuts are rich sources of proteins that should be essential parts of your diet. However, avoid excessive protein as it can lead to indigestion. Pick lean meats without skin and ensure that they are cooked properly before eating them. Avoid raw preparations such as sushi and raw oysters when pregnant.
  4. Dairy: To build strong bones your baby needs plenty of calcium. Calcium also helps regulate the use of fluids in your body. For this, it is essential that you have plenty of milk and milk products when pregnant. Wherever possible, choose fat-free variants to avoid excessive calorie intake.
  5. Lentils and nuts: Dried beans, lentils and nuts are rich sources of folic acid. Folic acid helps prevent congenital defects like spinal bifida etc that can affect the development of the baby’s spinal cord and brain. The liver is also a rich source of folic acid.

Not everything is good for you. Some things like saturate fats and foods that are high in sugar and salt content are best avoided when pregnant. These foods do not contribute much to your health but lead to weight gain and can increase your cholesterol levels. You should also try and limit your caffeine intake when pregnant.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

My daughter is 3.5 years old and is on feeding. My wife also wants to leave but my daughter doesn't leave pls help me to leave her feeding as all night she keeps on feeding and doesn't eat anything in evening. Pls help on the same at urgent basis.

MD - Paediatrics, Diploma in Child Health (DCH)
Pediatrician, Mumbai
The feeding habit is not an easy one to get rid of. Because it has been formed from almost the first day the child is born. And the child has got very used to (almost addicted to) the feeding. As the child grows older, the feeding does not provide much nutrition or fill the stomach, but it gives them a sense of security and safety and bonding with mother. And from the child's point of view, there is nothing wrong in feeding. She has no problem. Problem is always from parents side. Unfortunately, there is no easy method for stopping feeding at this age. In very small babies, if the mother applies something bitter to her breasts, the child might reject it. Older children do not stop even with such things. There are usually only two choices 1) just stop, and let the baby cry. The baby will cry for a day or two, and then, as she realizes that her crying is of no use, and that no one is going to pamper her, she herself lets go and stops. 2) separate the child and the mother for a few days. Let the child go to the grandmother's or aunt's house. This breaks the attachment with the mother. When the child comes back, she will still look for breast feeding, but the intensity of her craving will be much less, for she has learnt to take care of herself without this feeding, and it will be easy to get rid of the feeding.
