Hi. I broke my femor bone and got a plate around it with 20+ screws. Its been 8 yrs to the accident. Should I get it removed? How difficult the procedure would be? If I don't get it removed, will it create problem in future?

I will not recommend plate removal if it is not causing discomfort. Removing such a long plate & screws will lead to stress risers, may cause fracture.

Advice…. Hot Fomentation x twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction. Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x twice daily. Bhujang Asana x twice daily. Back Stretching.

Hello physiotherapy is the best treatment for this condition. Please send me all investigation reports if available. I can help you by providing correct ergonomic and physiotherapeutic tips. Till then you can follow these advises:- 1. Take calcium supplements and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid squatting, cross leg sitting and weight bearing activities. 4. Use western toilet. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 9. Backache may be due to poor posture and calcium and proper nutritional deficiency. Advice her to keep posture straight. Take proper diet and calcium rich diet. Take calcium supplements. Do morning walk atleast for half hour.

If you have severe pain as usual then normal flow. It may be due infection and due to lack of fibres diet. Take healthy diet and iron rich foods in diet avoid spicy things and junk foods. If still problem will remain then consult to doctor.

Hello, your back pain is not because of habit you noted hear, there may be some physical, mechanical or physical problem's that you have to find with investigations like xray, blood test and councling. In a physiotherapist view conservative treatment for your pain is first take rest on lay down on a bed for three days, start spinal strengthening exercises, after one or two weak start corestrengtning exercises, go for walking or swimming every day, check your knee muscle is having enough strength, weakness in knee muscle will give strain on your back, if there is weakness in knee you have to start with qudreceps exetsises by sitting on a tallchair straighten your knee for many times, again check any tightness in hamstring muscles (muscles in back of thyes, if its there you have to stretch your hamstring muscles. Avoid bike riding, avoid bending forward, avoid sitting this will help to avoid sprain to your back. Good luck

Dear since you on bed/rest for 15 days, your muscles must have become quite weak and hence is this pain. Do hot fomentation and apply a pain killer gel and support your knee joints with 6" crepe bandages 2 for each knee. Applied from above the ankles to the base of thighs. No squatting on floor, use a commode and avoid stairs. Take a pain killer like ultracet sos for few days. Once your pain settles, start a short morning walk and increase it gradually. If of no avail. Consult an ortho. Surgeon around u.

There is bony injury or no object was fall on me. By lifting weight of 50 kg it is been injured while keeping down I missed and I think the left part of my body like dorsum, lumbar (lower back), sacral (between hips), gluteal, perineal, inguinal (groin), coxal (hip), femoral (thigh), popliteal (back of knee), crural (leg), abdominal (abdomen), etc. Somewhere I feel that nerves is been squizzed or stucked the pain irritates me from down to the left shoulder till left feet. I feel too much of pain can you suggest me some medicine to cure.

The symptoms described by you do not point to a particular diagnosis. Stiffness & pain in back & other joints is quite a common condition. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

L5/s1 problems can be many and is an mri finding, please elaborate your problem as to a detailed discussion of your back pain which means duration of pain and mode of onset. I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any leg pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias (electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. Please also tell me about any associated symptoms like fever, weight loss etc. What medications you generally take and what has been your treatment history till now for existing problem. Hi, many people with back pain have jobs that require prolonged sitting. In most cases, these people are leaning or hunching forward over a desk, causing the curve in the lower back to straighten or reverse. If you spend significant time in a sitting position, then you have to either remember to keep the arch in your back or get a small pillow or lumbar cushion to keep it there for you. Of course, the best thing you can do for prolonged sitting is to get up and move around. You will be greatly surprised how beneficial it can be to take two ten-second laps around your desk every half hour. If you must sit for long periods, rest your feet on the floor or on a low stool, whichever is more comfortable.

Neck message will give good results. Use little good oil or plain water and massage from either side on the mid shoulder blade. Use your thumbs and move it slowly upwards on the back of neck up to the lower level of ear. Repeat 5 to 10 times. Do not do from top to down. Finally move your neck up and down, sideways left and right. Results are excellent.

My heel is paining very badly because of spur grow what should I do now can not stand half an hour.
Calcaneal spur is very common heel pain complain that I am observing in my daily practice. And do understand how stabbing pain is. Please follow some precautions and treatment plan to get rid of it. If possible please visit any nearby physio and start taking our physio modalities like ust, laser and faradism which has very good results in such pain. In the meantime please follow the precautions and care at home to decrease pain level. 1) give rest to your foot. 2) avoid bare foot walking. 3) avoid heel walking which normally people do when get up early in morning. 4) wear proper arch support shoes which should have heel cups or cushion to the heel in order to reduce direct pressure. 5) avoid prolong standing. 6) avoid standing while putting direct pressure on foot like one leg standing, jumping etc. 7) take healthy diet to keep you fit. 8) drink plenty of water in a day. Care at home: one of the best result in calcaneal spur is because of contrast bath and ultrasonic therapy. At home you can take hot and cold fermentation apply ice for 3 min and then hot for 2 min. There is very good result of both applications together. After 3 days of taking contrast therapy you can make the ice and hot ratio as 1: 1 mean one min cold and then one min hot. Start with hot pack and ends with cold. Take it for 15-18 min thrice a day for early recovery. Please make sure it should not be too hot or too cold. 2) slightly massage using your 2 fingers over the painful area. 3) exercises like toe dorsi/plantar flexion, calf stretching, place a rubber ball under your foot and roll that slightly which strengthen your plantar fasica. If pain is very severe then wear plantar fascia strap/band while walking. For any doubts please contact. Regards.

May your mother problem ortho arthritis in that case only females 90% so you can take treatment fist orthopedic doctor a x-ray also so you at home hot water, toble deep in hot water some time recover on knee when she feel cool agene do this & some exercises self you can also go any physiotherapy good treatment that problem short out physiotherapy + hot water + exercises = feeling batter but every things regular 2 months OK some days full bad rest.
