Please share to make others aware
During a comprehensive eye exam, your eye doctor does much more than just determine your prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses. Here is the list things which an experienced eye doctor (ophthalmologist) can diagnose while examining your eyes:
1. Aneurysm
2. Sjrogen syndrome
3. Vitamin a deficiency
4. Brain tumors and other space occupying lesions
5. Trigeminal neuralgia
6. Wilson's disease
7. Risk for diabetes mellitus
8. Tuberculosis, sarcoidosis
9. Risk of hypertension
10. Diseases tranferred during pregnancy (toxoplasmosis, rubella, etc.)
11. Multiple sclerosis
12. Idiopathic intracranial hypertension
13. Hereditary disease (marphan syndrome, homocysteinuria)
14. Bells (facial nerve) palsy
15. Melanoma.

I have asked a question regarding my vision. Actually, I forgot to mention that I am wearing glass for the past 15 years. I have made a eye checkup 4 months ago. Still, I feel that I am losing the vision abruptly and feel strain in the eyes. So, my question is that can you prescribe any exercise or any natural tips apart from glass or medicines.

Hello. There is no medication or food for improving eye sight or to get rid of glasses. Get your vision tested and wear glasses. At this age you will require additional glasses for near work and that number is physiological having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy.

Check your eye sight for refractive error and we also have to rule out sinusitis or migrane as the cause of headache after clinical examination and migrane - it is characterised by one sided headache which is pulsatile in nature and with a throbbing pain usually with an aura.

Hi, - Try to rest your eyes if redness is due to fatigue or eye strain. No other treatment is needed. - Wash your hands, hold clean water in your hand, keep your eyes closer to the water and dip the eyes by blinking the eyelids frequently in the held water in hand. Repeat it for 3-4 times again. - Avoid watching T.V. Working on computer or mobile, reading or frequently keep blinking your eyes to avoid dryness. Take frequent breaks in between. - In case there is itching, use a clean napkin or a tissue to wipe the tears and cleaning the eyelids gently. -Wear an UV-rays protected sunglasses while you are out in sun. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe’s Euphrasia 30 - both thrice daily for 4 days. Use Euphrasia Eye drops twice daily. Revert back thereafter.

If you have got number checked and hasn't changed, then it could be probably dryness of eyes due to long sitting for studies. Wash your eyes 4 to 5 times in a day, this will keep your eyes cool and decrease dryness. If that doesn't work in that case consult me to know some eye drops regarding this.
