Bad breath have some cause like bacteria, poor oral hygiene, etc, you need to brush every time after you take primary meal, use floss to remove foods between teeth, change your brush in every 2-3 months, at night brush with baking soda and rinse your mouth with lemon water, take clove and chew it, chew mint or basil leaves daily, take orange or lemon which helps to reduce bad breath, use mouth wash which don't have alcohol, regular check up by dentist will help you to fight the bad odor.

Having cavity in teeth totally damaged if we remove teeth it will what and to fix new permanent teeth so it will pain...
Teeth removal is done by giving anesthesia in that area. It will not give any pain. After removal, you might need pain killer for one or two days. Teeth replacement will not give any pain and is a simple procedure.

I am a paan chewer. Mu gum often swell and tooth pains when chewing. I used Hexagel, Muco pain for temporary relief. Any permanent remedy?

MDS - Periodontics
Dentist, Gurgaon
U may be suffering from Periodontitis (Gum Disease). Which is usually aggravated by tobacco chewing. In Periodontitis the gum detaches from the tooth surface and forms deep crevices called as pockets. The treatment in such a case is Teeth cleaning and cleaning of the gums followed by evaluation of the status of bone that holds the teeth. Which if found to be involved would require gum surgical therapy

Hello lybrate-user, if you are not getting releif from dentogel and dologel, you may have to use some special types of ointments, but for prescribing them I need to have detailed history of ulcers and if possible few photographs of ulcers. It would be best to consult in private with them.

BDS
Dentist,
Visit your dentist once in six months for regular check-ups. He/she will be able to check for conditions in the mouth that may put you at risk of developing tooth decay. The initial signs of cavity can be reversed if detected early. If advised, get a professional cleaning or scaling done.

I am diabetic 63 years old man. Off late i noticed bleeding gums while brushing. Please suggest cure.

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Hello sir, Being a diabetic you should take utmost care of your gums by having a 6 monthly dental clean up. So i suggest you get your professional clean up done by a dentist and also get your blood sugar tested to see if there is any spike in the levels if not done recently.

Hello sir/madam good evening to you. My problem is my teeth are normal pale yellow many times to wash hardly but not ...
Cause of discoloration ? Smoking, coffee, tea, drugs, aging, staining food (wine, blueberry, etc) genetics. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with whitening (bleaching) procedures and / or artificial enamel filling and / or capping. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use Snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply SNOWDENT paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min .Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results. DENTAL TIPS: - Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months. HOME BLEACH FOR THE TEETH Here is home remedy for brighter teeth--- mix several teaspoons of baking soda with enough fresh lemon juice (or water) to make a paste. Wipe your teeth and any extra saliva off of them with a paper towel. Put a good amount of paste onto your toothbrush and apply. Leave the paste on for 1 minute, then rinse, so as to avoid the acid effecting enamel. If you are using just water you can leave it on for up to 3 minutes. For faster result you can go for teeth bleaching from dentist.
