Heart beat & blood pressure are independent. But heart beat may or may not increase with increase in blood pressure. But high blood pressure can cause difficulty in breathing.

Hi, you have not mentioned whether your diabetes is controlled or not. I assume its controlled on above medicines. You can get a stress echo done and if positive then get an angiography done.

Hello. Getting High Blood pressure at such an early age is sad. But, before reaching to the conclusion that you have High BP, it needs to be properly confirmed that your BP remains high all the time. Because, many times, BP rises only temporarily while you are checking your BP at a clinic, due to anxiety or tension. This is very popularly known as White Coat Hypertension. And this is a very non-harmful thing. Maybe you are having only White Coat Hypertension and not real High BP disease. Take care.

Hello Sir, I am 47 years old and recently diagnosed high cholesterol. I am very much fond of egg, kindly let me know if eggs are safe or not. Thanks.

BHMS
Homeopath,
Hello Sir,
I am 47 years old and recently diagnosed high cholesterol. I am very much fond of egg, kindly let me know ...
Dear lybrate user, cholesterol is naturally produced inside the body of every living animal. Human beings are no exception to that. But when we take mutton, chicken, yellow part of a boiled egg, ghee, butter etc we intake cholesterol from external source. This extra cholesterol from external sources increase the total cholesterol content of human body. You should always keep your cholesterol level within normal limits as high cholesterol serves as a precursor to various cardiac diseases. Avoid the aforesaid food. Walk at least 1 hour in a day without any interval. Also you can take homoeopathic mother tincture fucus vesiculosus q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water. You have to avoid omlete, any other preparation of egg which is made from the yolk of the egg. The yolk of the egg is a rich source of cholesterol. However you can take the white part of the boiled egg as it is devoid of cholesterol.

Hello, In homoeopathy, both of you have scope of great treatment. I do not want discuss all the medical hazards as it will not make any difference to the patient but I need your characterised individualised case recording for proper treatment. If you feel free you may contact through mail: abanm@rediffmail.com to get case record form for proper treatment. Right now more than 900 Cardiac patients (most of them are postoperative) under my treatment to reduce the Chemical intake and reduce the side effect. So both of you may try.

What is symptoms of high Bp; high sugar; high cholesterol. What do be done in emergencies. I do get fatigue sometimes if I work too much or climb stares? What is cause for it.

What is symptoms of high Bp; high sugar; high cholesterol. What do be done in emergencies. I do get fatigue sometimes...
High BP, High sugar, High cholesterol can present with number of symptoms and sometimes remains unidentified until you fall sick. It's too difficult to mention all the symptoms but the symptoms you mentioned can be of them. The only way to diagnose them properly is to get properly examined and investigated. Like Blood pressure check up, Blood Sugar and urine sugar Fasting and Post prandial and Lipid profile. Even if they come negative you cannot exclude them as you are having some symptoms. And my advise is to start preventive homeopathic medicine by proper consultation. Till then you can start taking Tonicard Homeopathic preparation by SBL.

General Physician,
You description is very much specific that come with ischaemic heart disease. A stress ecg can exclude it. If your doctor is a cardiologist you can rely on him. Beside cariac pain the most common is costo-chondritis pain, inflammation in the costo-chondral junction.

Hi lybrate-user, If you have got all your tests done, and everything came out to be normal you are suffering from Anxiety disorder. Start with medication of Anxiety. It might help you to know that anxious people tend to breathe in faulty ways, hence the emphasis on breathing exercises as part of relaxation exercises. Examples of faulty breathing include mouth breathing, sighing and hyperventilating. This can cause chest discomfort, because it not only strains the accessory muscles (those between the ribs and at the top of the ribcage, between the shoulders and the neck), but also can irritate the cartilage between the ribs. Either of these things (or both together) can cause localized chest pain and tenderness as well as" crushing" “stabbing” or" stitches" - painful muscle spasms in the chest wall. The next time you get this chest pain, notice how you are breathing. If your breathing is faulty as described above, then close your mouth and breathe through your nose. Combine this with a mild analgesic such as Paracetamol and relaxation exercises or a relaxation CD. If you can tolerate a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine such as Ibuprofen, this will also help. Hopefully this will allow the muscles to rest and relax so that you experience much less discomfort in your chest or none at all. Remember that muscle spasm is very painful, and as you have had anxiety for some time it isn't surprising that your chest and neck muscles are affected. The other thing with breathing is to try shifting your focus to your belly. Remember that it's your diaphragm moving down, not your ribs moving out, that facilitates breathing. Your diaphragm moves, pulling air into your lungs, which expands your ribcage. Place your hands lightly on your belly and feel it move up and down. You can even expand your belly muscles as if to breathe down there. Let your ribs do what they like – just try not to think about them (easier said than done, I know). This sort of breathing is taught in yoga and can be very helpful. Please consult a psychologist for psychotherapy and anxiety management.

Hello dear High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation, yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. Garlic,. Cod liver oil. Take anti cholesterol medicines

i am suffering from abnormal heart rhythm problem. what should i do to get this normal? please advice

DNB Cardiology, MD - General Medicine, MBBS
Cardiologist, Mumbai
There are many different types of heart rhythm disturbance and the treatment depends on the type of rhythm disturbance. A ecg and sometimes 24 hr holter monitoring may be required to exactly derive the type of rhythm disturbance. So if you can enlighten me more about the symptoms and can send the ecg, I can help you with the further plan and treatment. Also I reassure you that in most cases a simple medication should take care of the problem.
