I have a pain in my teeth & sometimes blood is present in the peak. What should I do?
You have pain may be due to gum disease known as gingivitis and plaque deposition. Go to a dental clinic for scaling. This will help you. Rinse your mouth with chlorhexidine mouthwash three times a day after each meal. Use crest toothpaste. Keep your mouth clean. Brush properly. You can consult me also for further advice.

I have a high blood sugar and I take insulin regularly. But yet my sugar level is always high. What should I do?
The most important thing is in diabetes is diet and exercise. These two things will help you to lower blood sugar levels and to reduce medicinal dose.So do regular exercise.Take small amount of foods.Eat 5-6 times instead of 3 big meals.Avoid fast foods junk foods, processed foods. No sugar, sweetened juice, cola, soft drinks. No underground vegetables, banana, pumpkin.Take lots of watery and whole fruits, vegetables.Use unrefined foods.Take more protein which will help to improve insulin sensitivity.Use healthy fats small amount.Drink lots of water specially before meals.Avoid smoking, alcohol.Use nutritional supplement to manage your diabetes.you can use fenugreek seeds with1/2 glass water on an empty stomach in the morning.Adjust your medication with diet.Stay stress free and take proper rest. These will be helpful.

How to lose my weight. so, can you please tell me what should I do?

Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered Dietitian (RD), PGDD, Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S), General Physician
Dietitian/Nutritionist,
How to lose my weight. so, can you please tell me what should I do?
Let me know your food intake details. The best diet is one which is healthy and well balanced with foods from all the food groups, and one which is varied and that you can stick to weight loss on some diets can be dramatic in the short term, but there's more of a chance of rebound weight gain. Set yourself a realistic target and aim to lose between (0.5-1.0kg) a week I strongly accommodate the patient's own preferences without the patient feeling that they are on a diet not compromising the weight management goals. Don't fall for self dieting or fad diets available online they have harmful effects in the long run, if you lose a lot of weight very quickly, you may not lose as much fat as you would with a more modest rate of weight loss. Instead, you might lose water weight or even lean muscle tissue, since it's hard to burn that many fat calories in a short period. After assessing your personal challenges to weight loss, one can recommend a strategy to gradually change habits and attitudes that have sabotaged your past efforts. Also the overall objective should not be to drastically reduce weight but doing it gradually and help rebuild body tissues and to maintain ideal body weight.

I have fever for some days. Please help.

AUTLS, CCEDM, MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS
General Physician,
I have fever for some days. Please help.
Fever is not considered medically significant until body temperature is above 100.4 F (38 C). Fever serves as one of the body's natural defences against bacteria and viruses which cannot live at a higher temperatures. Also, the body's defence mechanisms seem to work more efficiently at a higher temperature -Fevers of 104 F (40 C) or higher may be dangerous and demand immediate treatments like: -Acetaminophen (dolo-650 mg) twice or thrice can be used to lower a fever . Aspirin should not be used for fever in children/ adolescents or during a viral illness. -Wear loose fitting clothes and don’t overdress. Overdressing can cause temperature to rise further. -Tepid water (85 F [30 C]) bathsmay help bring down a fever. -The body should be cooled with a wet sponge. -A fever can cause severe dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids.. Have citrus fruits, particularly Vitamin C rich ones like mausami,Amla juice etc. -Take light and easily digestible home cooked meals .avoid outside food -Wash hands frequently with soap and water especially after returning from public places or public transport. -Further therapy depends on the cause of fever like urinary infection/typhoid or malaria/dengue infection and the accompanying symptoms that need to be investigated and treated accordingly

There is a gap between my front tooth it is from my childhood but is increased now so I don't like this please help.
Two types of treatment available for you. If gap is more and your teeth are not in normal position then you require orthodontic (wire & braces) treatment. If your teeth are in normal alignment then you can go for teeth veneering to cover the gap.

How to reduce fat in my body. please suggest any diet chart as well.

PGDD, RD
Dietitian/Nutritionist,
How to reduce fat in my body. please suggest any diet chart as well.
Eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips. I am sure it will at least help you with initial fat loss.

I was a sportsman during my younger days and had lots of stamina. Now I am just 56. But I get out of breath very easily especially when I climb stairs or do some exercise or jog. Just 2-3 rounds of skipping I get breathless. Advise me please.

To build your stamina, dont just rely on physical activity, you also need to watch what you eat. Include a well-balanced diet by adding low-fat products, plenty of fruits and vegetables and lean meat. This will help your body stay healthy and increase both your physical and mental stamina.

I have a lot of hair fall although I'm taking healthy food. Then I could I do for hair thickness.

MD - Alternate Medicine, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Mohali
I have a lot of hair fall although I'm taking healthy food. Then I could I do for hair thickness.
Hair fall may be attributed to different reasons like using artificial colors, hair styling, chemicals etc. It may be due to some internal weakness also. Please go for herbal neem shampoo. Use shikakai and amla as conditioner (soak amla and shikakai in water overnight and boil a little in morning). Apply it on hairs. Keep for half an hour and then wash. It will condition the hairs. Too much shampooing can lead to more hair fall. Start using amla bhringraj oil on your dry scalp. This will increase the density & stop hair fall. Eat amla (indian gooseberry) in daily routine in any form whether it is candies, juice or raw. This habit will help in hair re-growth. Amla is a good source of many vitamins & it also increases absorption of iron from gut. For females above 40 years of age iron, calcium is must for stopping hair fall. Avoid using comb in wet hairs.

Sir, I have lots off weakness what is the problem I don't know I check up with some Doctor but they said you have no prolem

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi, Get your blood tested for CBC, Hb%, S. Calcium, S. Ferritin and ESR. Simple nutritional deficiency can cause general weakness of the body. Would advise you to take homoeopathic medicines - Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. - both thrice daily, and let me know about your condition after a month. Management: Daily intake more of healthy, nutritious and balanced food which includes green vegetables, seasonal fruits, salads, legumes, pulses, eggs, milk & milk products, oats, cornflakes, muesli, nuts, lean meat (chicken & few seafood), etc. Keep yourself well-hydrated by taking at least 10-12 glasses of water in a day, also increase intake of other fluids like coconut water, shikanji, jaljeera, gulkand, rooh-afza, lassi, curd, etc. Which has got cooling effect on the body during this hot summer weather. Sleep for 6-9 hrs at night and 1-2 hrs. During daytime. Avoid going out or playing under the sun, best time is after sunset. Wear a hat with broad brim, wear sunglasses whenever you are out in the sun. Don't awake late nights, follow motto of 'early to bed, early to rise' Avoid unnecessary exertion or stress.(Even after following this whole regime, there is no improvement then it could be related to your mental health!).

BAMS
Ayurveda, Ambala
Sir, I'm Aananth and I'm 17 years old, I have problem in my height. Can I increase my height.
Dear, follow methods by which you can gain your desired height. 1. Follow these exercises regularly and you get the goal of height gain: * first stand straight bare foot on floor, then raise your arms upwards then raise your heels of foot with breathing in, try to stand on heels for 10-12 seconds and slowlylower down your heels back on the floor and breath outthe air. Repeat this exercise 5-8 times in morning. *sit on the floor, stretch you legs together so that both foot touch each other. Now raise your arms upwards together with back straight, now move your hands towardstoes of feet and touch them. Your forehead touching your knees. Slowly revert back the arms and move back arms in normal position. Repeat this exercise 2-4 times daily. 2. Take 300 ml of rich cream milk, 200 gm of cheese and 2-3 eggs regularly. It will definitely give boost to your bone growth. 3. The growth and height iscontrolled by growth hormone whichis secreted by pituitary gland situated in the brain. So take meditation and have a stressfree lifestyle. Take 6-8 hours of sleep daily. Meditation makes your pituitatry gland healthy and working properly. *_take 1/2 teaspoon of ashwagandha powder with milk once a day.
