Get done anemia profile tests, it will help in identifying cause of anemia. Meanwhile start syrup dexorange 2 tsf (10 ml) three times a day after 2-3 hours of meals. Lemon water/ orange juice helps in iron absorption. Do not take tea/ coffee/ milk with it. Take iron rich diet i. E. Jaggery, dry fruits (apricot, almonds, cashew nuts, pea nuts, raisins), green leafy vegetables (broccoli, spinach, green peppers, peas, turnip greens, lentil sprouts), meats (liver is the best source), boiled lentils/ soyabean/ beans/ chickpeas, dried coconut, potatoes, beet etc. Make them a place in your regular diet. Normal level of vit d is between between 20-50ng/ml. A level less than 20 ng/ml indicates vitamin d deficiency. 1. Expose yourself to sunlight for 15-20 minutes daily in the morning 2. Take milk, cheese, egg yolk, fish (salmon/mackerel/ trout/sardines/tuna) cod liver oil, mushroom, cereals, orange juice. 3. If you have deficiency of vitamin d you have to take vitamin d supplement 60000iu/week fo r 3 months after consulting physician.

Hello lybrate-user your blood pressure is better than before but not fully controlled. It is better to get blood urea and creatinine tests done and add another bp tablet like ramipril 5 mg after checking the blood. This will bring blood pressure under better control. Persistent high blood pressure itself will make you tired and can damage other organs like kidneys. Relaxation in any form will help in controlling bp but you still need medicines.

My age is 34 years and My blood pressure is 90/130, please suggest it is need of having medicine or it is normal.

MD, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

My age is 34 years and My blood pressure is 90/130, please suggest it is need of having medicine or it is normal.
Hello, I can understand your concern. High blood pressure is a natural response to increased nutritional needs of human body. Nutritional needs of the body are increased when there is excess stress from physical or chemical or emotional distress. Physical stress results when physical activity is more than the capacity if vital organs. Chemical stress can result due to inflammation or defective metabolism or toxins or incompatible food intake. Emotional distress can result from pressures from family or friends or profession or other illnesses. Whatever may be the cause of stress, body reacts in the same way, that is through activation of sympathetic nervous system. When activated, This sympathetic nervous system increases blood pressure. So, treating blood pressure is like neglecting root cause behind increments in blood pressure. It's like switching on the exhaust fan to get rid of smoke and neglecting fire in the house. If you try to reduce blood pressure with chemical drugs, remember, human body is more intelligent than medicines and increases blood pressure even more. So, you find that patients of hypertension need more and more drugs with passage of time. Ayurveda believes in treating the root causes of disease and for that purpose we need your detail medical history. If you have any queries or questions, you are welcome.

Sir I am 25 year old, when I am playing cricket I fell down on the ground because my leg is slipped. From that time I have some pain at the place of ribs pls give any suggestion.

MD - Medicine, MBBS
Cardiologist, Panchkula
Could be due to injury or muscle stretch during the fall. Get an xray chest done to rule out any fracture. Otherwise a simple pain killer and a local pain killer ointment will help.

Hypertension ,is a lifestyle disease and needs a lifestyle solution and no medicines. All these are lifestyle issues completely reversible naturally without medicines Let me know any tests you have done so far and their results. What do you do for living Has your Dr. Excluded reversible causes of hypertension General Guidelines for high BP Reduce salt, Reduce stress Exercise daily ,reduce weight No alcohol, No smoking Please learn how to check your bp at home in the correct way first. A more detailed history is needed to pinpoint the cause of high bp in your case because causes vary from person to person and advice for controlling bp should be personalized and general advice will not work very effectively. Remember you have to treat the root cause and not the symptoms which has not been properly addressed in your case .They have just treated the symptoms and instead of education you got medication. You can take a consult through Lybrate if needed and reverse your elevated bp naturally without medicines.
