Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. In order to stop the formation of pimples the aforesaid four causes should be terminated. Now the bitter truth is neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you whenever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifolium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

Falling water from eyes when I am reading continuously. What is the remedy for that.

Falling water from eyes when I am reading continuously. What is the remedy for that.
Eye strain, or asthenopia, is when the eyes get tired from excessive or intense use. It can be annoying, but it tends to disappear with rest. Although it’s not often a serious condition, eye strain could be a symptom of an underlying problem. Eye strain is known to cause fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and headaches Eye strain may lead to other problems, such as: • Headaches • Difficulty Concentrating • Irritability • Burning Sensation • Watery Eyes • Dry Eyes • Photophobia • Eye Pain If you work on a computer, or have a habit of continuous reading ,taking eye breaks for five minutes every hour can lessen the strain on your eyes. Simply closing your eyes for a few moments can also do wonders. Try standing up, moving around, or taking a short walk to help regain concentration.Regular eye exercises that involve focusing on different distances can help prevent future straining. Blink often. Blinking refreshes and replenishes your eyes naturally. If you are having trouble with blinking due to the dryness of your eyes, try using Homoeopathic CINELUBE EYEDROPS ( HAPDCO) 3 times daily.

Hi, Home remedies for nightfall: -Individuals suffering from the condition can also opt to drink a glass of fresh bottle gourd juice every day, preferably at night in order to prevent nightfall. -Grind some fenugreek leaves or seeds and extract the juice.Add some water to the juice (one cup to 2 tbsp.). Add a few drops of honey for taste as well. Drink the juice before bed time every day to curb nightfall effectively. -Drinking a glass of warm almond milk at night before going to bed can relax the mind and body, and literally lull you to sleep and is one of the best known home remedies for recurrent wet dreams. Medication: Phosphoric Acid 30/ thrice daily for 4 weeks. For Premature Ejaculation: Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe's Damiaplant/ thrice daily for 4 weeks. Management: Regular exercising keeps you fit and healthy, so don't forget to do it. Practice pranayam regularly for half an hour preferably in a garden early in the morning. Not to do these exercises within 4 hours after meals. One can have meals not within 15 minutes after finishing these exercises. These exercises are good for gaining and maintaining good health.

Blood Clots - 4 Common Signs That Indicate It!

Blood Clots - 4 Common Signs That Indicate It!

Blood clots can be alarming, more so during pregnancy. The seriousness is much more because of the baby growing inside you. However, the good part is that this condition is considerably rare.
However, one can take steps to minimize the risks of this condition during pregnancy.

What is a blood clot?
Blood clots develop when the platelets obstruct blood flow. Normally, this happens after any injury or a cut, in order to prevent continuous bleeding. During pregnancy, blood clots act as a safeguard against losing excessive blood at the time of labor. Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is however, a serious condition wherein a blood clot forms within the leg’s deep veins or the pelvic area. DVT is linked to Pulmonary Embolism, a condition wherein a blood clot ruptures and travels all the way to the lungs’ blood vessels.

Bear in mind that statistically, a blood clot may affect one or two out of every 1000 women. So there should be no real alarm unless you realize that you could be at risk. The risks of this condition are at their highest, either during the initial six weeks post-childbirth or the first 3-4 months post pregnancy.

The risk factors are:

  1. Family history of DVT
  2. Smoking or having been exposed to passive smoke
  3. Age- especially above the age of 35
  4. Being overweight or obese
  5. Sedentary lifestyle devoid of any exercise
  6. Childbirth via a C-section

Common symptoms:
Although rare, some of the common symptoms include:

  1. Pain or swelling in the affected leg
  2. Pelvic pain
  3. Pain that deteriorates while walking/moving around
  4. Abnormally large veins

Possible complications:
Placental abruption or blood clots in the placenta

  1. Stroke
  2. Heart attack
  3. Miscarriage
  4. Pulmonary Embolism

Treatment and prevention
Adopting a healthier way of life by following a proper diet and exercising regularly is the basic preventive measure you can take. Discuss the type of exercises you can do with the healthcare provider. Exercising regularly ensures better circulation, thus averting the formation of blood clots. Now is as good a time as ever when it comes to quitting tobacco. An anticoagulant will be administered that prevents blood clotting.

Hello- it is almost impossible to increase height after 21 years but you still can try yogasanas (tadasana, padmasana) and stretching exercises and hope for an exception.
