Pelvic Pain - 4 Ways It Can be Treated

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, Advanced Infertility
IVF Specialist, Kolkata
Pelvic Pain - 4 Ways It Can be Treated

Pelvic pain is most common in women, though sometimes it occurs in men as well. There is absolutely no reason why pelvic pain cannot be treated and therefore women need not panic if they are experiencing such pain. The treatment of any pain can be done methodically after discovering its cause. Thus, before jotting down the treatments for pelvic pain, it is important to explore the reasons that cause pelvic pain in women.

Reasons for pelvic pain

  1. Reproductive organs in women play an important part in causing pelvic pain. The reproductive organ is complex when it comes to women and many small or big problems there might end up leading to pelvic pain.
  2. Any urinary infection or bladder irritation might also lead to pelvic pain.
  3. The nerves and muscles of the abdomen may cause pain in the pelvis area as well. In fact, the nerves and muscles are very tender near the pelvis area and care should be taken so that one does not strain them or pull the ligaments. This can cause severe pain.
  4. Another interesting point to be noted is that sometimes even after going through a lot of examinations, no causes of pelvic pain are found. In such cases it is understood that the pelvic pain is a manifestation of the remains of a long forgotten injury or accident.
  5. It has been examined and found out that physical abuse can at times lead to chronic pelvic pain. Though this link has not yet been understood properly, but it is seen to be true.

Treatments for pelvic pain

  1. The most basic treatment is to apply heating pad on the affected area. Heat helps in relaxing the muscles and nerves thereby, lessening the pain. However, this would reduce the pain, but cannot make it disappear in a day. Thus, it is a continued process for a week or 10 days till the pain recedes.
  2. Relaxation techniques like meditation, breathing exercises, yoga and even muscle exercises like jogging help in reducing the pain. However, this should be done under guidance. One wrong move can actually aggravate the pain instead of lessening it.
  3. Then there are painkillers which are non-steroidal and help in lessening the pain. Painkillers have a correct dosage and must be taken only after consulting a doctor. Self-medication in such cases can prove disastrous.
  4. At times, when all medications fail, surgery is the last resort.

Thus, these are some of the treatments that can be undertaken if and when you are experiencing pelvic pain. All these are connected to the root cause and must be followed only under medical supervision.

Hey. Relax. She will be alright. Give arsenic alb200 (4 pills every 2 hours for a day) instead of rice you can give her rice water. And give her sufficient water so that there is no dehydration. And a pinch of tea leaves to be chewed. She will be alright very soon. May god bless you.

Previously I have done so much masturbation probably 5 to 6 times a day for upto 5 years right from the age of 11 but...
Dear Lybrate User, It is quite common to experience the oozing of a colorless, sticky fluid from your penis as soon as you attain erection. It occurs due to secretion of fluid by the prostate gland. It is normal if your erection is continued even after the secretion of colorless, sticky fluid from your penis. If you do not masturbate when you attain erection then you may notice the secretion of a sticky colorless fluid from your penis as your penis gets flaccid. This is called Retrograde Ejaculation & it is also a normal phenomenon. But if you experience loss of erection as soon as the secretion of sticky colorless fluid from your penis occurs then you are surely suffering from Spermatorrhoea. Another symptom of Spermatorrhea is involuntary emission of semen from penis while applying pressure during defecation of stool. This symptom is mainly noticed after stopping the habit of masturbation. Continue the following medications for at least 30 days to get rid of your problem of Spermatorrhoea:- 1)Take 5 drops of Homoeopathic STAPHYSAGRIA 30, thrice daily, in empty stomach. 2) Take 30 drops of Homoeopathic Mother Tincture ACID PHOS Q in a cup of water daily after breakfast. 3) Take 30 drops of Homeopathic Mother Tincture NUPHAR LUTEA Q in a cup of water daily after lunch. 4) Take 30 drops of Homoeopathic Mother Tincture TRIBULUS TERRESTRIS Q in a cup of water daily after dinner. Apart from medicines You could try a home therapy. Soak 5 grams of Fennel seeds (SNOUFF) & 5 grams of Rock Candy (MISRI) in a glass of water before going to bed daily. On waking up next morning drink the Snouf-Misri soaked water in empty stomach Kindly note that this medication may not be sufficient enough to take care of your problem. These medicines are based on the symptoms of your diseased condition & these medicines need to be complemented by further deep-acting remedies in order to permanently eliminate the underlying cause of the disease. So I would suggest you to consult me privately via Lybrate as it is very necessary to diagnose the proper underlying cause of your problem if you are wishing for a permanent relief from your problems. A permanent annihilation of the underlying cause of the disease will not only provide you relief from your troubles but it will also cease any chance of further relapse of that particular disease condition.

Dear sir, I am 28 years men in past 10 years I am suffering from premature ejaculation now I always don't use drinks,...
Premature ejaculation is uncontrolled ejaculation either before or shortly after sexual penetration or foreplay. It happens with minimal sexual stimulation and before the person wishes. It may result in unsatisfactory sex for both partners. This can increase the anxiety that may add to the problem. It is one of the most common forms of male sexual dysfunction. It has probably affected every man at some point in his life. Most cases of premature ejaculation do not have a clear cause. With sexual experience and age, men often learn to delay orgasm. Psychological factors such as anxiety, guilt, or depression can also cause it. In some cases, it may be related to a medical cause such as hormonal problems, injury, or a side effect of certain medicines. Consult a psychiatrist online or in person Your doctor will discuss your medical and sexual history with you. He or she will do a thorough physical exam. Premature ejaculation can have many causes. So your doctor may order lab tests to rule out any other medical problem. In many cases premature ejaculation gets better on its own over time. Treatment may not be needed. Practicing relaxation techniques or using distraction methods may help you delay ejaculation. There are excellent medications for PE, but you need to answer few questions on general health as well as PE for any psychiatrist to prescribe.

Hello,
From the last few days I am suffering from bloating. I am having dalia as dinner from last 4 days, pomegranate...
This common ailment often happens because you swallow more air than usual, overeat, smoke, chew gum, or eat foods that cause gas. Flatulence can be embarrassing and painful for anyone, but don’t worry! You easily reduce flatulence with diet and lifestyle choices. Have smaller meals throughout the day. Eat six small meals per day instead of three large meals. Your system may more easily digest fewer meals and produce less gas from them Eat easily digestible carbs. Foods that contain simple carbohydrates may be easier for you to digest Avoid gas-promoting foods. Plan your meals each day to include easily digestible carbs. Steer clear of food choices that may make create gas in your intestines. Find suitable replacements for the following gas-promoting foods Beans and lentils. Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, and brussels sprouts. Bran. Dairy products containing lactose. Fruit such as apples and pears. Sorbitol, a sugar substitute found in some sugar-free products. Fatty junk foods, like fast food burgers or pizza. Chew your meal slowly. If you're famished or you're a fast eater, avoid the temptation to shovel your food into your mouth. Chew each meal slowly so you don’t swallow too much air. Doing this can aid digestion and may minimize the production of gas. Get regular exercise. Physical activity can help your intestines expel gas and stay regular. Exercise for at least 30 minutes most days of the week. If you are unable to do 30 minutes, aim for 2 15-minute sessions of physical movement, which can also ease flatulence. Try different kinds of exercise to prevent flatulence: Running Walking Biking Swimming Yoga For medication consult online in private.
