Fairness permanent treatment are possible? Wat wid b D cost for overall body. I spoke to a dealer who sells glutathione injections for jus 20k and said will show results in a week. Is dat possible and how safe will dis b?

MBBS, DPD-Cardiff (U.K)
Cosmetic Physician, Noida
Glutathion helps in skin lightening, but a combination therapy of sunscreens and skin lightening creams, along with external treatments like chemical peels will help you achieve the best result in minimum time. Injectable glutathion is approved only for liver diseases and not skin lightening, due to side effects. Its possible to achieve your basic color back by taking a skin lightening treatment regimen for 6-8 months, consisting of sunscreens, skin lightening creams, antioxidants and muktivitamins and external treatments like peels. After this you will have to maintain the results by application of sunscreen and moisturisers daily. A combination of all these treatments with Q-switch laser can help you achieve lightening of the pigment. Stick to the treatment for 8-10 months and take optimum sessions of the laser.

Homoeopathic cream ANTIMARKS CREAM ( BIOVALLEY) Apply twice daily in circular fashion Lemon Juice A quick and easy solution is lemon juice. Lemons have vitamin C that can lighten dark spots on your face. It’s easy to apply. 1. Put some fresh lemon juice on a cotton ball and rub it directly on the affected skin area. 2. Allow it to dry and then wash it off with plain water. 3. Continue applying this dark spot removal home remedy for at least two weeks to get the desired result. If you have delicate or sensitive skin, you can dilute the lemon juice with plain water, rosewater, or honey. You can also use lime juice to get rid of black spots, applying it in the same manner as described above.

First of call you must avoid constipation and straining during defecation. Take plenty of fluids and fruits and avoid non-veg. But have yourself examined by a surgeon before doing all this.

Hello 1. If u have oily skin then for cleaning better to use ubtan once a day. take small amount of ubtan powder, moist it wid water, then scrub it on wet face just for a min or two. secondly himalaya neem facewash is gud for oily skin. 2. For oily skin if u want to use cream then it should have very less oily base in it. U can use beauty cream of patanjali ayurved daily. Any cream apply in very less quantity. Even sunscreen of patanjali ayurved also u can use. 3. Avoid oily and salty food items, fermented food items, chinese items for healthy skin.

I am 16 year old boy. I have bark spot acne marks and my skin will be dark. How will get I improve my face brighter and clear.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
To make your face brighter and clear.Apply fresh-squeezed lemon juice to your entire face and neck. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. ... Another option is squeeze the juice of one-half lemon and mix one to two tablespoons of raw honey in it. ... To exfoliate your skin, mix two teaspoons each of lemon juice and sugar. Take turmeric powder and mix lemon juice in it. Make a paste and apply it on your skin. Do not take too much turmeric or else you will end up with a yellow face instead of glowing skin. Let the mask dry, and then, wash off thoroughly with cold water.

Acne: Myths and Facts

MBBS, Diploma In Dermatology And Venerology And Leprosy (DDVL)
Dermatologist, Navi Mumbai
Acne: Myths and Facts

Acne can be frustrating and annoying. A lot of unnecessary chaos can be avoided if people get the facts right.

1. Myth: Adults do not suffer from acne problems
Truth: While acne outbreaks are common amongst teenagers, adults are not spared either. In adults, the acne problems are essentially of two types; the late onset acne and the persistent acne. In many cases, it has been observed that the acne problems appear at a later period, mostly after 23 to 25 years of age (late onset acne). At other times, the unwanted acne outbreaks that mark its appearance during the teenage years linger for a longer period (persistent acne type).

2. Myth: A person's eating habits and lifestyle has no role to play in acne
Truth: Lifestyle and eating habits can influence a person's health. Excessive intake of sweets and simple carbohydrates can worsen the acne. Stress, fatigue, lack of proper sleep, can also aggravate the already frustrating acne problem.

3. Myth: Acne results from dirty skin, with adult men and women being equally affected
Truth: The Pilosebaceous unit of the skin plays a pivotal role in acne outbreaks. The oil producing gland (Sebaceous gland) of this unit acts as the main control. Certain hormones regulate the activity and size of this gland. An increase in the size of the sebaceous gland results in an increased oil secretion. The skin pores become very sticky. These pores serve as a host, into which the acne causing bacteria, P. acnes multiples.
Adult women are more prone to acne than their male counterparts. This is because, hormonal imbalance or alterations affects adult females more. Women often suffer from acne during menstruation.

4. Myth: Acne can spread from one person to another
Truth: More than often, acne is seen as a contagious dermatological problem. Though caused by the bacteria P. acnes, acne is not contagious. It is rather foolish to maintain a distance from the affected individual.

5. Myth: Acne is a minor problem and needs no medical intervention
Truth: Going for self-medication can do the acne more harm than good. Acne is influenced by a number of internal as well as external factors (stress, hormonal imbalance, unhealthy lifestyle). For an effective treatment, it is important to identify the root cause. It is best to consult a dermatologist at the earliest.

6. Myth: In case of acne, the face should be frequently washed and cleansed
Truth: Ideally, the face should be washed twice daily with a gentle cleanser. Some people get eternal pleasure in squeezing the heads of the spot. This can damage your skin beyond repair.

Do not allow acne problems to affect your self-confidence. Acne can be cured. Do not fall for the baseless myths.
