Yes the medicines that pt is taking esp for the prob of schizophrenia are having quite a lot side effects and all of the above you have mentioned may come in varying intensity in the patient as per the age, life style, mental state etc. In such condition, if you take homeopathic support along side, it can help you to recover along with minimizing the side effects of above medicines.

Homeopath,
PCOD

I.E. POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN DISEASE.

The prevalence of Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) in the Indian subcontinent is very high and significantly linked to irregular menstrual cycle (1). It is the primary cause of menstrual dysfunction in 75% of women. In the US 21% of pre menopausal women are affected (2).

Symtoms / Blood Reports

The symptoms include amenorrhoea, presence of cyst in ovaries, hirsutism, obesity and infertility (3). Polycystic ovaries are due to incomplete follicular development or failure of ovulation. Women with the syndrome have at least seven times the risk of myocardial infarction and ischaemic heart disease than other women, and by age 40, 40% will have type 2 diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance.

The common cases we see in clinics are often only with amenorrhoea and obesity. The cyst in itself on sonography has multiple follicles. The hormonal levels are frequently normal. Important levels are FSH, LH, DHEAS, Testosterone. The FSH / LH ratio is important.

Why take treatment for PCOD?

There are many reasons why one should seek treatment –

The cysts sometimes grow rapidly and can cause pressure on adjoining organs. They can burst causing acute abdomen and emergency.

They hamper the function of the ovaries and affect menstruation, ovulation etc

They cause sterility and difficulties in conception

They cause hirsutism and obesity

Latest research shows that they may be a pre-diabetic state

WHY HOMOEOPATHY for PCOD?

Though there is some treatment in allopathy for PCOD it is not comprehensive. Intake of hormonal medicines is not advised in young girls.

The cysts are recurrent and hence occur even after operations.

Cases diagnosed early are completely treatable, with sonographies showing complete regression.

Treatment with homeopathic medicines results in ovarian functions returning back to normal.

How does a homeopath view and treat PCOD?

For a homeopath, a cyst is a harmless extra growth in the body. Most of the time these extra growths can be reduced. In others they can be treated so that the functionality is maintained.

The objective of treating PCOD is different according to the age and needs of the patient. In young girls the only objective is to get regular menses. Regular menses also means that ovulation is intact. In elder women the treatment will depend upon the need to conceive. If the woman wants to have a child, then treatment would be prolonged, as we need to make menses regular and ovulation mature. If there is no need to conceive, as she either already has a child and/or does not want more, the objective would only be to get menses regular. Regular menses also means good health and hence treatment should be undertaken.

It is thus important for the homeopath to set objectives for each patient.

Important Remedies

The most important medicine that should be a part of treatment is Thuja. Many patients have hypertension or haemorrhagic cysts and Tuberculinum is required. Other remedies indicated .

I WILL DISCUSS REMEDIES IN NEXT TIP.
THANKS

Yes there is a very good chance that she is pregnant if sex was done in the last month and pill was not taken. You should immediately check her pregnancy with urine pregnancy test kit which can be done at home. And if negative keep repeating it every week till she gets menses.

When you become pregnant, your immune system is likely to change. As a result of these changes, you may contract a cold or a cough at some point during your pregnancy. In addition, your illness may last longer. The good news is that even though you probably feel fatigued, the symptoms of a cold or flu are not typically dangerous to your baby. However, it is important to take the necessary measures to avoid contracting a cold or a cough while pregnant and to treat it once you get one. CONSULT QUALIFIED HOMEO PHYSICIAN FOR SAFTY TREATMENT.

Hello. Is it not good girls drinking more than 8 glass of water daily. Please suggest? Also please let know how much ...
Hye, thanks for the query. Water intake depends on many factors like activity level, season, food intake, disease condition if any etc. Best way to ensure good intake of water is to sip on water through the day. You can be assured that you are taking enough water when the urine you pass is colourless (unless you are taking any medication or had fruits like beetroot). Also do not wait to be dehydrated and severely thirsty to have water. Ideally at least try to have at 2-3 liters of water per day (as long as you don't have any medical condition that needs restriction).

Here is a simple, home based remedy to help you tighten your vaginal muscles. Boil some gooseberries in water and store the resultant solution in a bottle. Apply some over your vagina when you take a bath every day. The solution would restore the elasticity and suppleness of your vagina in no time at all.

Reasons For Recurrent Miscarriage

DGO, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Reasons For Recurrent Miscarriage

Recurrent miscarriage is a condition when there has been three or more successive pregnancy losses. It is different from infertility as, infertility is the inability to conceive. For many cases, the cause of a recurrent miscarriage has not always been found. A number of factors can cause recurrent miscarriages of which some are treatable. It may not always be possible to identify a cause for recurrent miscarriage in a couple, even after extensive research and treatment procedures. Some of the common causes of recurrent miscarriage are described below:

  1. Chromosomal abnormalities: Incompatible chromosomes can result into pregnancy losses. When an egg and a sperm meet, of which one of them is faulty, they can't line up properly resulting into chromosomal abnormality. Such conditions lead to miscarriages.
  2. Uterine abnormalities or Incompetent cervixes: Miscarriages occur if the uterus is abnormally shaped since the embryo is not properly implanted or even if it gets implanted, it may not get sufficient nourishment to survive. If the woman has a weak cervix, it cannot hold the developing embryo, leading to miscarriage.
  3. Immunologic disorders: Under rare cases, the embryo itself is not accepted by the body. Antiphospholipid antibodies are those, which attack self tissues, such as embryos and prevent them from building up. This leads to recurrent miscarriage.
  4. Untreated thyroid problems: Conditions such as thyroid or uncontrolled diabetes result in uterine conditions which make it tough for the embryos to survive.
  5. Polycystic ovary syndrome: Women with polycystic ovary syndrome tend to have high levels of male hormones which, result in irregular menstruation and ovulation. This can prevent the lining of the endometrium from maturing that is required for holding the embryo.
  6. Bacterial infections: There may be presence of a number of microorganisms inside the reproductive tract that may be harmless for the person. But there may be certain bacteria lined up in the reproductive tract, which can prevent development of embryo, thus leading to miscarriages.
  7. Lifestyle: Smoking and drinking are harmful lifestyle habits, which may increase the chance of miscarriage to a great extent. It is always advised to avoid smoking or drinking when you wish to conceive. Other lifestyle conditions, such as working in certain environments like hospital environments, farms, laboratories, etc, may lead to miscarriages; however, the exact reason has not been identified yet.

Hi, According to the HSG report, there is no RT and LT spillage seen. This confirms tubal blocks. During previous month's HSG, back flow of the dye was noticed. Again it confirms tubal blocks. Due to this bilateral tubal blocks, chances of conception is difficult. It is better to consult a good gynaecologist for further treatment. If you are ready for IVF, it may be a better option.
