Hello Hair fall is due to hair nourishment deficiency. Pitta (heat) increase in body damages the hairs & hair roots. Do the following measures. Apply a good quality coconut oil daily in hairs. Do gentle massage of scalp daily in night. Do not eat late night. Avoid spicy food. Indigestion if any should be corrected. Regularize food eating timings. Avoid fast food. Take sound sleep at night. Do not sleep during day. Do daily morning walk 30 mins. Mind well if body is healthy then hairs will also be healthy. Do this & if needed revert back we have very effective medicines for hair growth.

What is the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes? Which one is curable and which one is incurable?.

MBBS, Diploma in Diabetology, Certificate Course in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (CCGDM), Post Graduate Course in Diabetology
Diabetologist, Mumbai
What is the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes? Which one is curable and which one is incurable?.
Type 1 diabetes is the kind in which the body cannot produce insulin hormone at all and hence daily insulin injections are needed lifelong to control sugar. Missing injections can prove fatal. Type 2 diabetes is the more common form which is mainly due to unhealthy lifestyles in genetically prone people. Lifestyle changes are the mainstay of treatment in this form and the person can be controlled for quite a long duration with tablets. Insulin becomes necessary after the tablets do not work well, which is usually after many years of diagnosis. Neither form is curable, it can only be controlled with medicines.

Hello dear Lybrate user, Warm welcome to Lybrate.com I have evaluated your query thoroughly. This issue is not detectable upon ultrasound it requires ascending urethrography report for the final diagnosis and further management, this is not normal do not take it lightly discuss with your parents and get evaluated with urologist Hope this clears your query. Wishing you fine recovery. Welcome for any further assistance at my private URL https://www.Lybrate.com/gandhinagar/doctor/dr-bhagyesh-patel-general-surgeon Regards take care.

Hello, doctors. I am a 16 year old ambitious student who regularly takes part in numerous activities. I go to the gym and my diet is proper but it so happens that at the later weeks of each month, I lose motivation and feel depressed. The same things that would get me excited like talking to my friends and feeling the wind against the feed starts seeming pointless. But after a week or so, I go back to being excited again. This relentless cycle each month without gap takes a lot of precious time when I could be working on my virtual internships or reading ahead of my school work. Please, help?

This being a regular monthly affair, you need to rule out the menstrual blues. Which is very common. And trust me, as time passes you'd get accustomed to it and would do just fine. I advise you to consume plenty of fluids and stay as calm as you can. It's just the hormonal imbalance causing these symptoms.

Sir, Is there any harmful effects of looking long time on a computer? And studying with the help of computer?

Yes, working for more than eight hours daily may harm the eye muscles by giving eye strain. Neck stiffness and spondylitis can occur. Use opthacare eye drops for relief from eye strain. Do Panchkarma for neck and back.

Acne happens due to blockade of sebaceous glands and not due to masturbation. Acne treatment needs a combination of approach. Please follow this regimen. 1. Apply epiduo cream in night keep it for an hour and wash your face. 2. Apply dew soft moisturiser and sleep. 3. In early morning apply clindac gel. 4. After bath apply suncote gel. Carry on with this regimen for a month you will get improvement. Let me know if you have any other doubts. Thank you

Hair fall can be associated with pernicious anaemia, hypothyroidism, inflammatory bowel disease, nutritional deficiency, diabetes, stress. These have to be evaluated. You also have to make a lot of lifestyle changes. Correct your diet. Consume plenty of pulses, legumes, sprouts, grams, soya and nuts. If you r nonvegetarian, have meat, fish, milk and milk products in plenty. Drink lots of water. Avoid stressing over your hair fall since dopamine released can decrease hair further. Stay away from chemicals like hair dyes, bleaches. Avoid straighteners and hot combs. Overwashing and overshampooing can make your hair fall. Wash your hair twice a week and shampoo on the same day. Use mild shampoos. Massage scalp thoroughly to increase blood circulation. Towel dry hair, do not use blow dryers. Make sure not to sleep with wet damp hair. Comb hair regularly before going out. Protect your hair from sun. Stay away from alcohol and caffeinated drinks like coffee and cola since they produce antioxidants which damage free radicals. Exercise regularly for it promotes blood flow and enhances healthy, shiny hair growth. Yoga and meditation help destress.

No, a thick yellowing discharge is expected in the second half of pregnancy due to the effect of hormones. It should not cause any concern unless associated with itch or foul smelling.
