Sir my eyesight is weak suggest me what to eat so that my eyesight become normal.

Sir my eyesight is weak suggest me what to eat so that my eyesight become normal.
Foremost, it would be good to identify the cause for your weak eyesight. Certain causes are treatable while others are not. A few points to consider would be: (1) do you undergo regular eye checkup (2) do you have any hereditary eye problem (certain diseases run in families) (3) did you ever have any injury to the eye? (4) have you been using glasses? since when do you use them? how frequent is the change of glasses? now coming to your question: beneficial food for the eye includes a variety of things that include antioxidants, fruits, etc. I ll just suggest you a few things that would be really useful: (1) green tea (2) beetroot (3) spinach (4) walnuts (5) almonds (6) kiwi fruit (7) oats (8) barley (9) sprouts (10) cabbage (11) dates (12) guava (13) orange, grapes (14) peanuts (15) ginger (16) lemon (17) plum (18) pineapple (19) pecans, hazelnuts.

Hello. I think you have allergic conjunctivitis. 1. Eye allergies, called allergic conjunctivitis, are a common condition that occurs when the eyes react to something that irritates them (called an allergen). 2. The eyes produce a substance called histamine to fight off the allergen. As a result, the eyelids and conjunctiva (the thin, filmy membrane that covers the inside of your eyelids) become red, swollen and itchy, with tearing and burning. The key to treating eye allergies is a. Avoid or limit contact with the substance causing the problem. B. Avoid rubbing eyes instead do cold compresses. Use antiallergic eyedrop along with lubricating eyedrop. This will help you I am very sorry dear to say that there is no medicine that can cure allergy. Only way is to stay away from all those things that you are allergic to.

All You Need to Know about CATARACT Surgery

All You Need to Know about CATARACT Surgery

All You Need to Know about Cataract Surgery

A cataract is defined as a clouding of lens in the eye where your vision gets blurred. A cataract affects the eyes, when light that passes through the lens prevents a clearly formed image from reaching your retina. The disease is very common and usually develops as your eyes age or due to any injury caused to the tissues that cover your eye's lens.

Types of cataracts:

Senile Cataract: This is the commonest of all. It is age-related clouding of the lens. It can affect the near or distance vision and can also cause glare and change in glasses power.

Secondary Cataract: It can be developed after surgery for other eye problems like glaucoma and other health conditions such as diabetes.

Traumatic Cataract: It can develop many years later after an injury caused to your eye.

Congenital Cataract: As the term explains, the disease may be inborn or some children might develop it at a later stage which often affects both eyes.

Radiation Cataract: It can form after you are exposed to some form of radiation.

A cataract surgery involves the extraction or cleaning of the cloudy lens, which is then replaced by a clear artificial lens.

Why does it happen?

There are lens that lies behind our iris and pupil which act much like a camera lens. It helps concentrate light onto the retina at the back of our eye to form a sharply defined image. Besides, the lens also helps our eyes to adjust focus and allows us to see things clearly both far away and up close. The lens is composed of protein and water where the protein is arranged in a manner to keep the lens clear thereby letting light pass through it.

However, as we grow old, some of the protein starts to become thick and cloud a small lens area. This is known as a cataract. With the passage of time, it may inflate and cover more of the lens, making it difficult for us to see.

Besides, there are other causes of cataract such as smoking, addiction of alcohol, prolonged sunlight exposure, to name a few.

When should you opt for a cataract surgery?

Believe it or not, but till date no eye drop or medication has proven to reverse or prevent the formation of a cataract. If a cataract is affecting your nearsightedness or alteration in your prescription, then new prescription eyeglasses may help to better your blurred vision. However, the only treatment for a cataract is the surgical removal of your natural lens. And, most eye doctors recommend this surgery only when the problem becomes severe and starts hampering your day-to-day activities, such as studying or driving at night.

I have been suffering from the problem of the myopia. What should I do for this problem and what are reasons behind it?

I have been suffering from the problem of the myopia. What should I do for this problem and what are reasons behind it?
Hello, Include the following for getting better vision: Vitamins A, C, E, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Get the antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Include garlic and onions. Blueberries, grapes as they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. DHA is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel. Exercises for eyes: Warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. Roll your eyes. Start by looking up and then slowly circle 10 times clockwise and 10 times counterclockwise. Focus. Hold a pen at arm's length, focus your eyes on it, and slowly bring the pen closer until it's about 6 inches away from your nose. Then slowly move it back, keeping your eyes focused on the pen, 10 times in all. Massage your temples. Using your thumb knuckles, massage your temples in small circles, 20 times in one direction and 20 in the other. Repeat the same actions above the mid-point of the eyebrows at the forehead, then below the eyes on both sides of the bridge of the nose. Take a mini-nap. Put your head back, close your eyes, and relax for 3 minutes. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine which will help you in preventing rather reducing the power of your eyes. Take Physostigma 6/ thrice daily for 1 month. Thereafter, revert back for further guidance.

After giving hot compressed treatment still my eye having that small bump. Which is knwn as chalazion.
Chalazion goes off with persistent hot fomentation if its small. If you still have bump after 1 month of regular hot compresses than you may consider surgical excision.

Fellowship in Comprehensive Ophthalmology, DOMS

Sir my eyesight is going weak day by day please suggest me which medicine should I take to regain my eyesight normal.
There is no medication or food for improving eyesight or to get rid of glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens b. Lasik laser as your age is now 24 years so your number will not increase now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. As you are not comfortable with contact lens then go for lasik. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik.

I am 40 yes old and working on computers many hours in a day. Past few months I am feeling that I have some problem in my vision. Every single image seems me double or some time foggy. I go thru eye checkup also but doctor said I do not have any prob in my eyes nor I required a specs. But I am suffering from eyes convergence problem. He suggested some exercise also which I am doing but not much gain visible to me. Please advise any medication or eye drops will help here?

Phaco Development Program, Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology, DNB Ophtalmology, MBBS
Ophthalmologist, Mysore
Seeing that you are 40 years old you may need some form of correction. Even if an eye specialist has checked you I would advise you try using +1.00 glasses while using computers. It may help your problem. Convergence insufficiency cannot be corrected with medications. Exercises are the only go. But be aware that the effect takes weeks to months to be appreciable.
