Hello- Here are 6 Dietary and Lifestyle Tips To Lower Bad Cholestrol Levels. 1. Limit your intake of foods full of saturated fats, trans fats, and dietary cholesterol. Best Choice: Omega-3-rich fish, such as salmon, sardines, herring, mackerel, and trout. Choose at least 2 times weekly. If you’re using canned fish, such as canned sardines, select very-low-sodium or no-salt-added varieties. Good Choice: Most other fish, plus shelled mollusks (clams, oysters, mussels, scallops). Satisfactory Choices: Crustaceans (shrimp, crab, lobster, crawfish), Poultry (white meat, skinless) Game Meat (bison, venison, elk, ostrich), optimally free-range and grass-fed Poor Choice: Red meat (beef, pork, lamb, veal, goat). For all red meat choices, select cuts that are under 30% fat. 2. Eat a lot more fiber-rich foods (especially soluble fiber from foods like beans, oats, barley, fruits, and vegetables). 3. Choose protein-rich plant foods (such as legumes or beans, nuts, and seeds) over meat. 4. Lose as much excess weight as possible. 5. Take ayurvedic supplements (Arogyawardhini vati, Liporid etc). 6. Avoid sleeping in day time.

Hello sir, my husband is 30 years old healthy lean person. I did his tests yesterday in which the cholesterol levels were high total cholesterol being in range of 299 ldl 77 triglycerides 800 vldl 160. Urine uric acid levels on little higher sides. He doesn't suffer from anything except planter fasciitis occasionally. He isn't on any medication. Normally I have all the dietary precautions at home. Does he need to start treatment immediately or we can give a try to exercise and dietary restrictions? Please reply Thanks

His cholesterol and triglycerides levels are pretty high. It could be familial, hopefully he doesn't drink much and smoke. Since you are already taking dietary precautions, he should be started on medications and daily exercise. The levels need to be repeated after 4 weeks to see response.

use more salt. Experts usually recommend limiting the amount of salt in your diet because sodium can raise blood pressure, sometimes dramatically. ... Drink more water. ... Wear compression stockings. ... Medications. Eat small, low-carb meals. To help prevent blood pressure from dropping sharply after meals, eat small portions several times a day and limit high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. Your doctor also may recommend drinking caffeinated coffee or tea with meals to temporarily raise blood pressure.

Dear lybrateuser, - Do not worry, your bp is in the normal range - if it goes lower & you have symptoms like headache, dizziness or tiredness then it is a cause of concern - to maintain a normal bp have a well balanced diet, do regular exercise, sleep well & keep stress low & body weight in the normal range.

You are having hyperacidity. So take cap. Levkoor r one daily empty stomach. Use bland diet. Take small frequent meal. Chew well.

My produces a lot of heat, due to which my eyes become very red, almost every day i have used eye drops and oral tablets however the redness still persists

I will suggest you to Get your blood checked for CBC and follow up with reports and Apart from taking symptomatic treatment I will suggest you to eat nutritious home made food with adequate fluid intake and take physical rest.

Hello doctor. I am suffering from low BP. I have joined in yoga class at 5.30 am. While doing yoga I am loosing all my energy. Am unable to perform well. Can I eat anything before going yoga class? And how can I overcome this low BP?

The low BP may be due to low sugar as you are going empty stomach and doing workout. It will be best if you eat something light like a biscuit/rusk with a cup of tea or milk and take water/juice rather than going empty stomach.
