Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning and artificial enamel filling or root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

I have a small hard lump beside my last molar. It is extremely painful. My teeth pains sometimes too if there's food stuck in it. Does it look like cancer?

Dear Lybrate User, Try not to worry by labelling the lump as Cancer. The lump or swelling might have cropped up due to some infection of the teeth or the gums and needs to be investigated by a dentist. Such lumps or swellings could be thoroughly and easily investigated by your dentist or a specialist dentist and if need be, a biopsy can be done to rule out any malignancy. At this point though, try not to be anxious and immediately get yourself examined by a dentist. Good Luck!

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need root canal treatment. Until then apply clove oil on the decayed tooth. Rinse frequently with mouth wash. Advise c. Amox 500mg 1-1-1, thrice daily, t. Metrogyl 400mg 1-1-1, thrice daily, t. Imol 1-1-1, thrice daily (contraindicated in conditions with gastric ulcer, asthma, wheezing, allergy), c. Becosules 1-0-0 once daily all for 3 days only. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Goggle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Hello. A simple treatment of cotton dipped in glycerine over night on top of the ulcer will bring down the pain drastically. It should heal in two days.
