"For mild sore throat, try with salt water gargles using little warm water, taking care not to use too hot water, and take pain killer if required. If you are not ok in 1-2 days, consult back. Try sending picture of your throat. If you have fever, you may need additional medicines as well. If symptoms are severe, please consult an ENT Doctor immediately. Please see that it may be more beneficial if you add honey and salt to the gargle solution. Add 1 spoon of honey and half spoon of salt to half glass of water to make gargle solution. Also, if you are s smoker, you need to quit smoking and alcohol.

Dear Sir/Madam I am 20 years old, A heavy sweating occurs from my leg and palm so that I can't write very well and papers are also wanted and it also irritate me so please doctor suggest me how to stop the sweating please doctor suggest me.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Heavy sweating (also known as hyperhidrosis) is a very real and embarrassing problem, but there are some effective ways to treat it. What Is Hyperhidrosis? Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, is a common disorder which produces a lot of unhappiness. An estimated 2-3% of people suffer from excessive sweating of the underarms (axillary hyperhidrosis) or of the palms and soles of the feet (palmoplantar hyperhidrosis). Underarm problems tend to start in late adolescence, while palm and sole sweating often begins earlier, around the age 13 (on the average). Untreated, these problems may continue throughout life. Sweating is embarrassing, it stains clothes, ruins personal contact, and complicates business and social interactions. Severe cases can have serious practical consequences as well, making it hard for people who suffer from it to hold a pen, grip a car steering wheel, or shake hands. Causes OF Hyperhidrosis:- Although neurologic, endocrine, infectious, and other systemic diseases can sometimes cause hyperhidrosis, most cases occur in people who are otherwise healthy. Heat and emotions may trigger hyperhidrosis in some, but many who suffer from hyperhidrosis sweat nearly all their waking hours, regardless of their mood or the weather. Antiperspirants This may be the first treatment that a dermatologist recommends. It is affordable. When applied as directed, an antiperspirant can be effective. Your dermatologist may recommend a regular or clinical-strength antiperspirant. Some patients need a stronger antiperspirant and receive a prescription for one. Iontophoresis (the no-sweat machine) If excessive sweating affects your hands, feet, or both areas, this may be an option. You will use this treatment at home. It requires you to immerse your hands or feet in a shallow pan of tap water. As you do this, a medical device sends a low-voltage current through the water. Many people obtain relief. Some people dislike that this treatment can be time-consuming. Uses: Hands and feet It works by the electric current shuts down the treated sweat glands temporarily. Side effects: Some people develop: •Dry skin •Irritated skin •Discomfort during treatment Prescription medicine Some patients receive a prescription for a medicine that temporarily prevents them from sweating. These medicines work throughout the body. However we cannot prescribe in open question answer session as a rule but you can ask in consultation. These medicines prevent the sweat glands from working. Athletes, people who work in a hot place, and anyone who lives in a warm climate should use extreme caution when using this treatment. The body may not be able to cool itself. Uses: These medicines can effectively treat sweating that involves entire body. This medicine also can be an effective treatment for post-menopausal women who sweat excessively only from their head. Side effects: The medicines that prevent the sweat glands from working can cause: •Dry mouth •Dry eyes •Blurry vision •Heart palpations (abnormal heartbeat) Surgery If other treatments fail to bring relief, surgery may be considered. Surgery is permanent and carries risks. The following surgeries can stop excessive sweating: •Surgically remove sweat glands •Sympathectomy A dermatologist can surgically remove sweat glands from the underarms. This surgery can be performed in a dermatologist’s office. Only the area to be treated is numbed, so the patient remains awake during the surgery. A dermatologist may use one or more of the following surgical techniques to remove sweat glands from the underarms: •Excision (cut out sweat glands) •Liposuction (remove with suction) •Curettage (scrape out) •Laser surgery (vaporize) Sympathectomy is another surgery used to treat hyperhidrosis. This is major surgery, which a surgeon performs in an operating room. During sympathectomy, the surgeon tries to stop the nerve signals that your body sends to the sweat glands. To do this, the surgeon will cut or destroy certain nerves. To find these nerves, the surgeon inserts a mini surgical camera into the patient’s chest just beneath the underarm. The patient’s lung must be temporarily collapsed so that the surgeon can cut or destroy nerves. Uses: •Surgical removal of sweat glands is used to treat the underarms •Sympathectomy is mainly used to treat the palms You can try antiperspirant powders also.

Hi, I am 25 years old female, a student. I have been feeling very low from past sometime. I get angry at small issues and I do not get over those issues easily. I do not feel like doing anything the whole day, not even able to concentrate on my studies. I am also having sleeping disorders these days. Negative thoughts come into my mind and I pick up fights with people. I talk to friends but it doesn't help me much. I just don't do anything all day, I try to escape the loneliness and these thoughts by sleeping, but I fail, I don't know whats happening. I feel a constant dissatisfaction with my life. Are these signs of depression? What should I do?

Hi, I am 25 years old female, a student. I have been feeling very low from past sometime. I get angry at small issues...
Dear lybrate user, from what you have mentioned, it appears that you are feeling sad and unhappy. Your inactivity appears like mild depression but don't term it as" depression" yourself, because depression has to be assessed by the psychiatrist/psycologist with proper assessment techniques. It seems to me that you are not doing, what you would like to do. Just think, why you are doing what you are doing now. Do something which pleases you and not others. It appears that you are angry and/or frustrated. Try to find out the reasons for this anger/frustration and start working on that. May be you have not had a happy childhood and certain things in your childhood are still bothering you. Please understand that the past is over and you have full life ahead of you. Try to do things which you like to do. Have a hobby. Keep company of friends who care for you and who have positive outlook towards life. Do not hesitate to seek help of a counsellor if you think it would help you.

Sir my sperm leak every day so thats by my sperm is liquid form so please sir guide what can I do for my this problem.
Hello- Eat dry figs with milk daily at bed time to promote easy motions (it will avoid sperm leakage due to prostratitis). Drink plenty of water daily to keep your system cool. Start consuming Awala Murabba. Its good for sperm leakage patients. Avoid watching porn totally and practice meditation in free time to develop mind control and to sooth weak parasympathetic nervous system.

Mam I was told by doctor that I have pcod what is it why did it happen and what is the cure ?

Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered Dietitian (RD), PGDD, Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S), General Physician
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
polycystic ovary syndrome treatment generally focuses on management of your individual main concerns, such as infertility, hirsutism, acne or obesity. As a first step, I recommend weight loss through a low-calorie diet combined with moderate exercise activities. Low-fat, high-carbohydrate diets may increase insulin levels, so you may want to consider a low-carbohydrate diet if you have pcos as prescribed by a registered dietitian only. Don't severely restrict carbohydrates; instead, choose complex carbohydrates, which are high in fiber. The more fiber in a food, the more slowly it's digested and the more slowly your blood sugar levels rise. High-fiber carbohydrates include whole-grain breads and cereals, whole-wheat pasta, bulgur wheat, barley, brown rice, and beans. Limit less healthy, simple carbohydrates such as soda, excess fruit juice, cake, candy, ice cream, pies, cookies and doughnuts. Even a modest reduction in your weight for instance, losing 5 percent of your body weight might improve your condition I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. I will also suggest home remedies. Do reply back for private consultation for rx.

Sir, I am 23 year old and facing the problem of skin itching in different parts of the body. It all started after using hair remover and so few months back I consulted a doctor and he prescribed the following medicine - zyncet 10 mg, kenacort 4 mg and zocon 200 mg. I continued the medicine for more than two months and it suited me well. Later, because of the side effects of the medicine such as burning pain in stomach, sweating, tiredness and sleepiness, I stopped taking all the dosages. But after few days the itching has started again and even there are no any external signs like red complexion of the skin, the skin is quite normal with few pimples/acne on the body. Also, itching of the skin increases at night. I request you, if you could advise me at the very least.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user, it might be eczema. A dermatologist can give you right guidance after running certain tests on you like blood test, thyroid test, skin test or through detail biopsy of your skin. Once the exact cause of itchiness has been pinpointed, you can be successfully treated. For quick relief, some creams can help you till the exact cause of your problem is diagnosed. Get in touch with the nearest gynaecologist who can recommend some creams. Meanwhile, you can reduce the itchiness at home with the help of good moisturiser, avoiding soaps, cosmetics and other chemicals. Bathe with natural products or with cool plain water for some days, avoid scratching the skin altogether.
