First you need to keep under control your thyroid function. To control cholesterol you should avoid saturated fats red meat egg yolk. Control your weight Regular exerise like walking and yoga will also be helpful. High uric acid requires low purine diet. You can take help of a dietician. If not ontrolled with diet and regular exercise then consult a Physician who may start medicines.

RESPECTED DOCTOR, my mother aged is 70 years. Already one kidney completely failed. But yesterday she took blood test...
Mr Anthony, Looking at the details given, it appears that the kidney function is good. Even on one kidney a person can live a normal life. As regards her BP if it is in control with cilindipine continue the same. Her sugar levels are high. Fasting 114 mg is marginally high. Whereas after food levels is definitely too high, suggesting a need for taking proper anti diabetic medication. Ayurvedic drugs do not bring the sugar levels to normal. After food level is taken after 2 h of food. If it is above 200 mg, signifies diabetes. Please understand various conditions which she has are not curable, they can only be controlled with proper medication. So continue the treatment. If kidney function does go down then dialysis is the option.

Hello, No drinking of warm water is not harmful for heart, kidney and lungs. According to your height and age your body weight should under 70 kg. You should take about 6% water of your body weight. As much as possible you should take drinkable warm water alongwith 5/6 Fresh one seeded garlic root which will increase your metabolic rate and reduce the body weight. This will help you to prevent the possibilities of future heart ProblemAlso don't take any Junk food, Clod water, fatty oil. If you follow this, I am sure that you will call me after two months if there has no any medical problem. My age is 34 years and My blood pressure is 90/130, please suggest it is need of having medicine or it is normal.

MD, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

My age is 34 years and My blood pressure is 90/130, please suggest it is need of having medicine or it is normal.
Hello, I can understand your concern. High blood pressure is a natural response to increased nutritional needs of human body. Nutritional needs of the body are increased when there is excess stress from physical or chemical or emotional distress. Physical stress results when physical activity is more than the capacity if vital organs. Chemical stress can result due to inflammation or defective metabolism or toxins or incompatible food intake. Emotional distress can result from pressures from family or friends or profession or other illnesses. Whatever may be the cause of stress, body reacts in the same way, that is through activation of sympathetic nervous system. When activated, This sympathetic nervous system increases blood pressure. So, treating blood pressure is like neglecting root cause behind increments in blood pressure. It's like switching on the exhaust fan to get rid of smoke and neglecting fire in the house. If you try to reduce blood pressure with chemical drugs, remember, human body is more intelligent than medicines and increases blood pressure even more. So, you find that patients of hypertension need more and more drugs with passage of time. Ayurveda believes in treating the root causes of disease and for that purpose we need your detail medical history. If you have any queries or questions, you are welcome.
