Hi, I am 25 year old girl. My teeth are very badly aligned. I want to get the straight but in less time. I wish to know the options available. If braces too i want to know the maximum time and less visible ones. As i have to get married soon.

BDS, MDS
Dentist, Asansol
You have three options according to your conditions 1st ceramic braces- it is not visible from a distance 2nd lingual orthodontics- here the braces are on the inner surface of tooth so not visible. 3rd is clear aligners, it is like splints that is removable, so in those social gathering you can remove it, though it is a very costly treatment.

Painkiller are a temporary solution. If your teeth is paining, it can be due to decay which has reached the nerve endings. Get your teeth x-rayed to determine the extent of damage done by the decay. Depending on it, you might require rct or removal of teeth.

Eat lot of fruits & green leafy vegetables & drink plenty of water. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need coronoplasty (smoothen teeth edges) along with t. Rebagen 10, morning one tab & one at night for 5 days, c. Becosules 5 cap, for five days in the morning after meals. Hexigel ointment on the area of ulcer. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

The vomit sensation you are talking about is known as Gag Reflex. It is a protective mechanism of the human body to avoid the entrance of any unwanted material down the throat. In your case, you are experiencing the reflex while brushing, that means your brushing pattern might be wrong. You are taking your brush to much deeper areas than required. Also, you might not be cleaning your tongue properly. Visit your dentist and ask him about some correct brushing patterns and start using a tongue cleaner. Whenever you experience gag try to focus on some other activity or object, such as your big toe. It diverts you and thus the gag stops. Avoid mouth breathing, that increases the gag. If the problem persists even after changing your brushing/cleaning pattern and avoiding mouth breathing there is more to it. Pay a visit to both your dentist and gasteroenterologist.
