Take proper rest in between don't stand for very long times eat good nutritious diet and last but not the least get checked from a gynaecologist to rule out any pathology.

During pregnancy due to hormonal imbalance there may be some problem in teeth occur. This may aggregate gum problem. So during second trimester must clean your teeth and if any cavity restore your teeth to avoid such type of problem. There is no need to worry and take pain killer with doctor concern.

Hi lybrate-user. Its best to have a repeat cesarean delivery. Normal delivery can be tried only after 3 years of previous cesarean as there is increased risk of uterine rupture is attempted prior to that.

Hello, The concept of conceiving or getting pregnant does not depend only on your wife. There is no test to detect whether a woman can get pregnant or not. And as well there is no test to detect whether a man can make a woman conceive or not. Hence, the so called pregnancy I.e. Getting pregnant depends on no. Of factors and that corresponds to both husband and wife. Woman cannot have a child alone. Her husband is also held responsible while having a child. Kind Regards.

However, eating well and being active can help manage some of long term complications of PCOS. The good news is that losing anywhere from 5 to 10 percent of your body weight can help with weight-related health problems. The best eating plan if you have PCOS is one that helps you manage your weight and also lower the long term risks of diabetes and heart disease. This plan should be low in saturated fat and high in fibre. Start by making healthy food choices following Canada's Food Guide. Choose better fats: Too much saturated and trans fat in the diet can lead to weight gain, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Limit foods that contain saturated and trans fats. Instead of these bad fats, choose smaller amounts of healthy unsaturated fats, which are found in vegetable oils like canola and olive oil, avocado and nuts. Aim for a total of 30 to 45mL (2 to 3 Tbsp) of healthy fats each day. You can learn more about choosing healthy fats here. Increase fibre: Eating more fibre can help maintain blood sugar levels and lower your cholesterol. Plus, fibre helps make you feel full, so you tend to eat less. This can help with weight control. Aim for 21 to 25 grams per day. Here are some high fibre foods to try: Fruit – especially berries, pears, oranges, figs, kiwi Vegetables – especially peas, spinach, squash and broccoli Whole grains – such as oats, brown rice, whole wheat, quinoa, barley and buckwheat Legumes – such as lentils, chickpeas, soybeans and kidney beans Cereals made with wheat bran, psyllium or whole grain oats Nuts and seeds – such as almonds, flax, sunflower seeds Enjoy protein: Similar to fibre, protein also helps you feel full for longer, so you will eat less. This is a great way to help control your weight. Make sure that you have some protein at every meal and snack like chicken, turkey, beef or fish. Or, try vegetarian options such as legumes, soy or a quarter cup of nuts or seeds. Milk and low fat yogurt are also good sources of protein. Foods to limit: Some foods cause weight gain if you eat them often. Choose fewer foods that are high in sugar, salt, refined flour and fat such as: White rice, pasta or bread Baked goods Regular soda Candy and chocolate and Salty snacks

Indian cuisine is diverse. There are a variety of dishes and cuisines which change every few kilometers. But while everything changes from taste to texture to color, what doesn’t drastically change is the staple such as rice or wheat. Our meals are incomplete without the consumption of either rice or chappatis. But here is the concern, more so for diabetics.

Rice and wheat flour are rich in carbohydrates, especially white rice and fine wheat flour. They break down quickly into glucose and make sugar level of the body to rise sharply. Because of this reason, they are ranked high on the Glycemic Index (GI), an index which ranks food items on the basis of their pace of breaking down into glucose. At a time when the incidence of diabetes is increasing alarmingly in India, with the country already having close to 70 million diabetics, it is important to choose food items cautiously.

These male and female fertility checklists will help you decide if you should see a doctor or infertility specialist.

Think about making lifestyle changes if you can't get pregnant. 'Couples who have sought specialist help and have been diagnosed with 'unexplained fertility' may find that making certain lifestyle changes can assist in conception,' writes Michael Dooley in Fit for Fertility. 'These fertility checklists might be useful.'

Why Can't You Get Pregnant?

The Fit for Fertility Checklist is made up of four individual checklists, for the egg, the sperm, conception, and general male and female fertility problems.

Fertility Checklist #1: The Egg (Female Fertility)

Answer yes or no to the following questions:

1. Are you having irregular, short (less than 21 days) or long (greater than 34 days) periods?

2. Do you bleed between your periods?

6. Have you had the pelvic inflammatory disease?

Make sure you have intercourse at the right time (when you're ovulating)!


Fertility Checklist #4: Male and Female Fertility Problems

 Answer yes or no to the following questions:

Do you have a good, healthy diet?

Do you smoke or drink excessive amounts of alcohol?

Have you been exposed to environmental hazards?

Have you tried to conceive before without success?

Are you under significant stress?

Do you spend a lot of time apart?

Do you drink excessive amounts of caffeine?

Do you take regular medications?

Do you use recreational drugs?

Do you have a history of a genetic problem?

With increasing age. There biological aging. Ovarian reserve is depleted. Size & position of fibroids matters. If symptomatic you have to remove fibroids but that will not assure conception. Pregnancy at age of 48 will depend on other factors also. Get thoroughly investigated.

As pregnancy is possible only on one day of cycle i.e.ovulation day any couple has to give 12 to 24 months to nature for pregnancy. Those who get impatient or if this suggested period gets over need to consult Gynaecologist or Infertility specialist for detailed reports and then treatment which takes time so patience is very important.

Fishes are depositories of the good nutrients that are essential for maintaining the optimal health of the human body. Broadly speaking, fishes have high protein and low-fat content, which helps to boost up the metabolism and immunity of the body. A fish meat in the diet is very often suggested by doctors for women during their pregnancy, even to the women who are vegetarians.

There are certain dishes which are low on mercurial content and high on minerals and beneficial acids, which are recommended to consume during pregnancy. These include fishes like Salmon, Anchovies, Herring, Sardines, Trout, Pollock, Catfish, Atlantic and Pacific Mackerel. As per the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) pregnant women can safely eat up to 12 ounces (340 grams) of seafood in a given week. Here are certain reasons which make fish consumption essential for a pregnant woman.

  • The presence of omega-3 fatty acids - One of the main highlights of fish meat is Omega-3 fat or Omega-3 fatty acids. It is a form of unsaturated fatty acid that is commonly found in fish oils secreted by the meat of the fish. These acids, mainly help the baby to develop its brain and the eyesight faster and better. Additionally, it also helps in energy storage, oxygen transport, cell membrane function, and regulation of inflammation in the mother's body.
  • Low Fat Substitute - It is a known fact that fishes are rich sources of protein and vitamins like Vitamin C and D. They are usually low on all forms of fat, saturated fat and fatty acids. This helps to avoid fat accumulation in the fetus as well as in the mother's body.
  • Better development of the baby - It is a scientifically proven fact that, higher fish consumption by women during their pregnancy is associated with increased cognitive scores, and decreased the risk of autistic symptoms (a brain development disorder found in children).

Conclusively, fishes have always been a desirable food to consume during pregnancy by women. But, you should always be careful while fish consumption, due to pollutants like mercury and PCBs (Polychlorinated biphenyls, which is a form of a chemically reactive substance), which are harmful to the baby as well as the mother.

Runner’s knee is a very common problem with athletes. It is definitely not something one needs to worry about. In fact, with certain exercises, it can be prevented and if you do develop a runner’s knee, it can be treated with some exercises as well.

There are special sports medical practitioners who prescribe not only regular physiotherapy, but also specific exercises to deal with specific sports injuries. To fight with runner’s knee pain, there are a few exercises.

But the four most important ones are described in detail below.

  1. Quads: For performing proper quads, all you need is a back wall for additional support. You need to hold yourself against the wall and keep your legs apart from each other. The legs should be folded in the knees. In this position, you have to move up till the knee position with a minimum of one minute hold time in the knee position. You can repeat this exercise 10 times at a stretch before moving on to the next exercise.
  2. Hamstring: This is a fairly easier exercise than the previous one. You have to stand straight with your legs apart. Bend downwards from your hips. Relax your neck and back. Ease your head downwards as well. Keep your hands behind. Join both your hands and give it a stretch. If you think that this position is straining your neck or back a little too much, then you can simply stretch your hands without joining them.
  3. Calves: Calves is a standard exercise that is prescribed by medical practitioners and physiotherapists for easing out the pain caused by runner’s knee. You have to stand with your hand against the wall. Put your left leg forward and bend it at the knees. Stand on your right heel. Hold yourself in this position for 20 to 30 seconds before changing the legs and doing the same.
  4. Lateral: Lateral is also one of the easiest and common forms of exercises. You have to stand with your legs directly below your hips. Then stretch your right leg apart. Without bending your knees, try to touch the toes of your right leg with the fingers of your left hand. Hold this position for 20 to 30 seconds before changing the position and performing the lateral with your left leg.

Thus, these are some of the very fundamental exercises that one should follow in order to get quick relief from the pains of a runner’s knee. These exercises are very easy and help in reducing pain. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a orthopedist.

consuming contraceptive pills or i pill after sexual intercourse has many adverse effects............ it disturbs female menstrual cycle.......... causing hormonal imbalances leucorrhea pcod pelvic inflammatory disease uterine fibroids cervical polyps brown discharge, dysmennorhea oligomnnorhea are some of the adverse effects........... so i advice not to consume i pill or contraceptive pills until and unless it is emergency..............
