I am suffering from a stomach pain since past 3 days. There is constipation and gas too, what can I do?

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Faridabad
I am suffering from a stomach pain since past 3 days. There is constipation and gas too, what can I do?
Constipation is a condition of the digestive system where the sufferer has hard feces that are difficult to expel. In most cases, this occurs because the colon has absorbed too much of the water from the food that is in the colon. The slower the food moves through your digestive tract, the more water the colon will absorb from food. Consequently, the feces become dry and hard. Defecation (emptying the bowels) can become very painful, and in some serious cases there may be symptoms of bowel obstruction. When the constipation is very severe; when the constipation prevents the passage of feces and gas, it is called obstipation. 1. Take 10 ml of lemon juice (nimboo ka rass) and add 200ml of water to it with one teaspoon full sugar and drink it twice a day. 2. Eat old jaggery (guda) 4-5 gm daily. 3. Consume fig (anjeer) with luke warm lik at night. 4. Drink glass full of milk with 5-10 ml of ghee at night. 5. Consume grape juice 10-20ml twice a day. Take triphala powder 3-6 gm with luke warm water at night. 6. Drink 10-15 glasses of water in a day and add salad in your diet.

Homeopath,
IBS or Irritable Bowel Syndrome - Women have a higher incidence as compared to men, and stress and foodstuff commonly trigger an attack of IBS. Symptoms usually vary from mild constipation to severe diarrhea with associated gases, colic and urgency.

Common triggers of IBS are: (These trigger off an attack of IBS and aren’t the cause of IBS)
Stress: Emotional factors such as grief, shock, anxiety, nervousness and anticipation
Food: Dairy products, egg yolk, oily/fried foods, red meat, alcohol, coffee, fats,
beverages, chocolates etc
Drugs: Certain medicines may precipitate an attack of IBS

Foods to be avoided: Individuals respond differently to food items and should evaluate specific items which aggravate their condition.
Food items causing gas may be avoided. These are: cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, beans, apple, grapes, artificially sweeteners, carbonated drinks, fats and fermented food.
Alcohol & chocolates tend to increase IBS.
Milk may be avoided when you are lactose intolerant and if milk or milk products aggravate your problem.
Increase: Dietary fiber suited to your needs. Excess fiber may cause diarrhea. Grains, fruits and vegetables may be increased in bouts of constipation.

Dear user with the limited amount of information provided this appears to be the signs of indigestion. It is advisable if you can have a glass of milk before sleep as that will help in giving you fats, carbohydrates and satiety. Hope this helps. Revert if there is any other query.

The vomit sensation you are talking about is known as gag reflex. It is a protective mechanism of the human body to avoid the entrance of any unwanted material down the throat. In your case, you are experiencing the reflex while brushing, that means your brushing pattern might be wrong. You are taking your brush to much deeper areas than required. Also, you might not be cleaning your tongue properly. Visit your dentist and ask him about some correct brushing patterns and start using a tongue cleaner. Whenever you experience gag try to focus on some other activity or object, such as your big toe. It diverts you and thus the gag stops. Avoid mouth breathing, that increases the gag. If the problem persists even after changing your brushing/cleaning pattern and avoiding mouth breathing there is more to it. Pay a visit to both your dentist and gasteroenterologist.
