For braces to be applied, age does not matter much. And 27 is fairly good age, you will get good result, nowadays we have much cosmetics looking braces so nobody even knws that your treatment is going. Ask your dentist for such options and go for it, you will get good result. Wish you a happy treatment.

Maxilla is a part of the skull bones. Alone, this bone cannot move forwards or backwards unless fractured like during intentional surgery. If you feel any problem with the appearance of your maxilla, you can consult a dentist, preferably an orthodontist who will advise you a series of xrays: like lateralcephalogram and then can comment on the status of the bone.

Preserving the tooth by root canal treatment is always better than removing the tooth. Nothing can substitute our natural teeth. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

Hi, there are various reasons of bad breath, like impurities in blood, inefficient digestive system, dry mouth (lack of saliva production), gum disease, cavities, plaque and tartar formation around teeth and gums, kind of diet, improper brushing / cleaning of mouth etc. I would advise you to get a thorough physical and dental examination to rule out the cause of bad breath and to solve it permanently. - use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water or hydrogen peroxide to keep the area clean. Avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth. - stay away from smoking and other tobacco products, which can aggravate bleeding gums. - eat a balanced diet and limit snacking between meals. Carbohydrates and sugars feed dental plaque. - try an oral irrigation device, commonly known as a" water pick, to clear debris from around the gum line. - you may need deep cleaning along with surgical curettage or gum strengthening procedure. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person.

Hai lybrate-user, putting on braces and elastics would certainly a painful procedure by nature, but if it badly unbearable consult your orthodontist by whom your are treated immediately so that he will come up with a solution for your specified condition. My 2 bottom incisors feel weirdly rough when I touch them with my tongue from the inside and look kinda funny but from the smiling view the look perfectly fine, I am afraid they might be decaying what should I do or take.

BDS
Dentist, Kolar
Roughness could b due to accumulation of plaque n calculus as one tends to brush less/ improperly the lingual surface of teeth. Get a professional cleaning done by dentist who'll guide you if decay exists.
