I had knee pain for almost 1 month. Consulted doctor. He advised to take rest as x ray was normal. Despite of taking rest my knee pain did not reduce. Its almost 2 months I have pain. Doctor suggested mri.In mri scan there is horizontal meniscus tear. I consulted many orthopaedics. But few r telling to take rest where as few are telling to do physiotherapy. Im unable to understand should I do physiotherapy or not.

Hi consult a knee surgeon who does arthroscopic meniscal repair.In my opinion, rest is better instead of physiotherapy as of now to lessen pain and inflammation. Quadriceps drill alone should be done under guidance to prevent wasting of surrounding muscle, quadriceps. Take anti inflammatory meds for 7 to 10 days, use knee brace for support and use english commode in toilet for prevention of knee bending. All this for 2 weeks. Knee surgeon may help with repair if he finds that necessary best wishes.

Hi it's good that you do warm up and cool down exercise. Just keep yourself hydrated, sip water before, during and after exercise. You can also keep check on calcium and vit. D levels.

Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises hamstring stretching calf muscles stretching contrast bath.

I have old dvt case since 12 year, I am serving in army I have swelling in my left leg. So I want to complete cure of this disease, I have an operation of varicose in Year 2010 but no relief obtain pl suggest me for cure of same disease.

Earlier stages of varicose veins are treated by wearing stockings, sleeping with legs elevated and sclerotherapy (injection of sclerosing agents in the veins ). Advanced stages are treated by destruction of defective valves in the veins or surgical removal of veins. In cases where there are no symptoms except bad cosmetic experience, no treatment is offered. You must get yourself evaluated by getting a Doppler ultrasound of veins done which would reveal the exact status of your veins.

I am 44 years old. From every evening am feeling uncomfortable, and most of the time in the evening my back neck is aching, in the day time feel OK, and my BP is in morning when measured it is 120/80 in the evening it is 130/95. And also when I took non veg in dinner at 2.or 2.30 am feel indigestion and feel heartburn. Kindly suggest.

1. Drink plenty of water. 2. Take fresh fruit everyday. 3. Also add fibre and curd in your diet. 4. Stop taking tea empty stomach. 5. Start with Physiotherapy treatment for Joint pain. 6. Don't sit on floor. 7. Don't lift heavy things. 8. Stop eating non veg for one month.

Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Inform after 5 days.

This part of the spine is often injured as a result of poor postural habits and structures which can cause pain include joints, muscles, ligaments, nerves and discs. I suggest you take physiotherapy like joint mobilisation, traction, deep tissue releases and exercises. Advice relieve your pain by correcting its cause, for example the correction of poor postural habits. And use polytos capsule, q 10 nitro capsule, and neuroforte caps.
