Dear lybrate user, you should take vitamin d for a month. Also take mag. Phos 12 x with hot water thrice daily four tablets at a time for five days. Do massage of your legs with seasame oil on the calf muscles daily at night for five to 10 days

Hi Thanks for your query and Welcome to Lybrate. I am Dr Akshay from Fortis Hospital, New Delhi. Your knee pain could be due to certain reasons but common ones are Chondromalacia, pain due to knee instability, inflammation etc. If there is no history of any injury, and no s/s of inflammation or infection like swelling, skin redness or Local warmth on touching, then i will like to advise you for conservative management initially in form of : - Intensive physical therapy with focus on strengthening of Quadriceps and stretching of other group of muscles - Gentle anti inflammatory medications like Tab Etoshine or Tab Paracetamol can be taken in small doses for 5-7 days - Adequate calcium and vitamin D supplementation as per requirement - Ice packs at home for 3-4 times in a day and see how it goes for around 2 weeks time. If your condition does not improve, then we will have to get certain investigations done. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. If you have persistent pain like you described you will have to take an ecg to rule out angina or myocardial infarction. If ecg is normal we can rest assured that it's other causes for the pain.

Hi, I am sleeping on thick mattress since last 2 weeks. Nowadays when I wake every morning, I feel a lot of pain in my back. I did morning exercises, it helped for the day but next day morning again, same pain is being felt by me. Mattress is made of which material is not clear. Back pain in which part of spine. If mattress is soft than use hard mattress. If you have gain this in 2 year, will releave in 6 months. So you have to take pain killer when more.

Hello, 1.You can Apply Volini gel 1% local application twice a day for 3-5 days 2.Hot fomentation twice a day for 3 days I am giving to some common reasons for LEG PAIN 1. generalized weakness 2. Anaemia 3. physical exertion and any Trauma 4. lack of protein in Diet 5. any infection present on leg or foot 6. muscle weakness 7. abrupt start/ stop of physical exercise 8. Vit D and Calcium Deficiency Kindly consult physician for further management

It's so pain in my leg. What to do?

Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Pain in legs is a common condition. Do hot fomentation keep a pillow under the legs at night &/when resting. Any way take bio d3 max 1tab odx10days ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days do knee exercises it may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There are actually many causes of pain around the ankle region, so it could be due to due to some injury, inflammation, infection etc. First priority is to keep your sugar levels within normal values by regular intake of medications. I will advise you on certain blood investigations which you should do empty stomach and send me the reports: cbc, esr, crp, serum uric acid, serum electrolytes, serum vitamin d & b12 levels done. Muscle are stiff so do calf stretching exercise and heat fermentation of foot. For shoulder do heat fermentation avoid strain and computer work tk muscle relaxant medicine avoid heavy weight.

I had a lower back injury since last 6 months for which I have been doing exercises told by physio but them it's been almost 6 months now the pain is vanishing very slowly slow than I expected and sometimes I feel a pinched sensation and little pain still sometimes maybe because of my daily activities is there anything to be worried will it cure automatically by resting and exercises or there might be some serious issue as sometimes the pain is still there towards left side from the center of lower back please help thanks I got the x ray done but the ortho said only to take rest and gave me an ointment to apply on back but it's been 6 months and pain is still there though little but there.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

I am facing pain in my arm along with back pain from past 3 weeks what should I do to get relief.
Get a MRI done to pin point the cause and site of pain . Meanwhile go for Ayurveda's Panchkarma Therapy - We have many option for u - Kati Basti (Specialised Panchakarma procedure for Backpains), Localised Massgae with Herbal oils, Localised Medicated Steam, Pottali Massage. Continue these procedures for atleast 15 days. Regular oiling of the joint will improve the lubrication also. According your required do physiotherapy treatment for few days. Posture correction must. Do stretching exercise after relief. Avoid long sitting toward bending lifting weight.
