Dear lybrate user with the limited information provided it appears that you are suffering form indigestion issues and lack of satiety after food. It is advisable if you can start exercising regularly along with intake of high fibre diet and liberal fluid intake. Make a habit to consume a glass of water before meals and eat salad. Suffering from constipation .... You can take 2 tab. Charcoal at night. syp. Aristozyme 10 ml after meal. avoid fast/oily foods,alcohol,smoking,junk foods,fatty foods, take plenty of liquid diets.dalia,green veg.,fiber meals,juice,lassi, if not cure then go for few tests .i.e. stool r/m, stool c/s, cbc, blood sugar,lft,and endoscopy of large intestine. Do yoga/go for walk.

Hye, thanks for the query. Being, a diabetic it is best advised to have a diet planned as per the sugar levels, lifestyle and history. Though you can follow some guidelines - the sugar levels will fluctuate depending on what you ate or did not eat, stress levels and activity levels. You have to try and manage a balanced carb intake. Have small frequent meals. Do not fast for long hours. You have to eat 3 main and 3 mid meals. Your diet must include whole grains, seasonal fruits, vegetables, small amounts of nuts and dairy and pulses or dals or lean meats like chicken or fish and egg. Starchy vegetables need to be planned into the diet. Avoid a very heavy meal at one time. Long gaps consequent heavy meals lead to not only hyperglycemia but gas as well. Avoid fruit juices, aerated drinks or sugarcane juice, honey, jaggery or sugar. Avoid junk foods. Exercise and stay active. Avoid exercise if sugar levels are above 250 mg/dl. Do not attempt to try out too many remedies as you could go into hypoglycaemia. Sleep well. It's all a matter of discipline. I would advise you to take a personalised consultation.

Several things can be done to prevent cold: -Always wash your hands after coughing or sneezing into your hands, blowing your nose, after touching someone who is sick, or when using public restrooms or telephones. -Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough. -Get plenty of rest/sleep.Avoid people who have a cold or cold symptoms. -Drink plenty of fluids(veg/tomato soups,dal water/coconut water/herbal tea etc), and eat nutritious food(like sprouts/milk). Avoid fatty foods or drinks with caffeine -Treatment: A cold usually lasts for a week or two. Unless you develop complications, you shouldn't need medical treatment. -Gargle to keep from getting a sore throat.Take only lukewarm water to drink during the day -Use saline nasal sprays or nasal irrigation. -Tablet nasorest-p once/twice daily may ease breathing. -Do steam inhalation once or twice daily. -Complications like infections of ears, throat, sinuses or lungs must be treated with antibiotics. -Head and Body Aches- Take tablet dolo-650 mg for fever once or twice daily

One egg. You can eat yellow portion. Walk for 15 minutes after eating food. Don't lie immediately after eating meals.

You need to check up routine test of urine to rule out infection. Usually summer causes this symptom. Drink two litres of water or fluids every day. Drink coconut water, fruit juices in plenty. If infection is seen in urine examination, then see a family doctor. With 3-5 days of medications you should be alright.

Mr. Lybrate-user, if you have confirmed diabetes then the treatment has to continue for life time. Diabetes can only be controlled, there is no cure. Along with drugs, exercise and diet restriction to control weight is also equally important. Check your hba1c%, it should be maintained around <6.8. Thanks for your question.

Common Causes Of Headaches:

Migraine
Tension Type Headache
Idiopathic Stabbing
Cluster Headache
Exertional Headache

Head Injury
Vascular Disorders
Subarachnoid Haemorrhage
Brain Tumour
The patient who presents with a new, severe headache have causes that may be different from patient with recurrent headaches over many years.

People frequently ask me to get imaging of brain done to rule out the cause of headache. They have special attraction for MRI and CT Scans. But not every headache requires investigations. But there are headaches which require investigations. Let us understand , when a headache requires immediate attention.

Headache Symptoms that Suggest a Serious Underlying Disorder :

Worst headache ever
First severe headache
Headache worsening over days or weeks
Associated with Neurological Deficit
Fever or unexplained systemic signs
Vomiting preceding headache
Pain induced by bending, lifting, cough
Pain that disturbs sleep or presents immediately upon awakening
Known systemic illness
Onset after age 55
Pain associated with local tenderness, e.G, region of temporal artery

Now, let us read about two most common types of headaches, i.E Migraine and Tension type headache that we see in clinical practice.

Migraine :

Migraine, a very common cause of headache, more commonly affects women than men. It is usually an episodic headache which is usually unilateral (on one side of head) and is associated with certain features like:

Nausea (Feeling of vomiting)
Photophobia (Sensitivity to light)
Phonophobia (Sensitivity to sound)
Light-headedness
Scalp tenderness
Vomiting, Nausea (Feeling of vomiting)
Visual disturbances
Paresthesias (tingling sensations)
Vertigo
Alteration of consciousness
Diarrhea
Seizure
Confusion
People having migraine, usually during acute attacks, prefer to be alone and don?t want any sound, light, want to sleep in dark room.

Acute attacks are usually triggered by some stimulants called as ?triggers? which are commonly following :

Bright lights
Sounds
Hunger
Stress
Exertion
Hormonal fluctuations during menses
Lack of or excess sleep
Alcohol, Wine, Cheese or other chemical stimulation
Patients should try to notice their triggers and should do life-style adjustments to avoid them.

How to Deal with Migraines?

Patients having migraine should seek a medical consultation. There are drugs which are given to terminate acute attacks of migraine, as well as to prevent them.
They should have a fix routine of sleeping like from 10 pm to 6 am. They should not sleep for more than 30 min during daytime, as excessive sleeping during day time would cause problem in falling asleep during nighttime, leading to disturbance of sleep cycle and precipitation of migraine.
They should avoid wine, cheese, lemon.
Tension - Type Headache :

It is a chronic head-pain syndrome characterized by tight, band like discomfort. It is bilateral (means on both sides of head). The pain typically builds slowly, fluctuates in severity and may persist more or less continuously for many days. The headache may be episodic or chronic (present >15 days per month). It may be associated with sleep disturbances.

How to Deal with Tension Type Headache?

The pain can generally be managed with simple analgesics but should be taken under medical supervision as they have a long list of adverse effects. There are other drugs too, but can be given only under medical supervision.
Behavioral therapies including relaxation are also effective.
Patients with this type of headaches are advised to throw away their ?Headaches? to prevent the ?Headache? , means they should try to sort out the tension or problem that is causing the headache.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Yes it is called Pause and squeeze method .In some cases, therapy for premature ejaculation may involve taking simple steps, such as masturbating an hour or two before intercourse so that you're able to delay ejaculation during sex. You may try avoiding intercourse for a period of time and focusing on other types of sexual play so that pressure is removed from your sexual encounters. You can also try diverting your mind before ejaculation is ready to come and proceeding after a brief break, thereby prolonging duration of intercourse / action The pause-squeeze technique You and your partner can use of a method called the pause-squeeze technique. This method works as follows: 1.Begin sexual activity as usual, including stimulation of the penis, until you feel almost ready to ejaculate. 2.Have your partner squeeze the end of your penis, at the point where the head (glans) joins the shaft, and maintain the squeeze for several seconds, until the urge to ejaculate passes. 3.After the squeeze is released, wait for about 30 seconds, then go back to foreplay. You may notice that squeezing the penis causes it to become less erect, but when sexual stimulation is resumed, it soon regains full erection. 4.If you again feel you're about to ejaculate, have your partner repeat the squeeze process. By repeating this as many times as necessary, you can reach the point of entering your partner without ejaculating. After a few practice sessions, the feeling of knowing how to delay ejaculation may become a habit that no longer requires the pause-squeeze technique.
