Yes. Continue to check INR monthly, so that you can be sure. There is govt policy that all vitamin pills should have composition which does not interfere with warfarin.

Measure BP once every month on fixed date after resting for ten minutes. You may require medicines if BP is mostly above 145. Exercise helps to reduce BP, and reduce sugar jaggery and alcohol intake. Avoid other restrictions in diet.

Just wanted to know is it possible to have a highly varying triglyceride value for a person with a stable vegetarian food habit for years. The blood sample were taken in the morning after 12 hours of fasting. The reason for asking this is that the triglyceride value is showing double within a week between 1st and 2nd sample test. It is 325 & 154 for the 1st and 2nd test respectively.

Unusual, but possible. Triglycerides are manufactured in liver from sugar jaggery fruits and starchy foods. If you increase these in diet, triglycerides will go up.

Get your sugar creatinine and ECG done annually, avoid other tests. You may believe you will help your health, but high chance you will achieve the opposite. Talk to people who are healthy at ninety and learn their ways, why believe any other source.

I have undergone angioplasty 4 months back. I under meditation of brilinta 2 tabs daily, atorvastatin 1 tab daily, ecosprin 75 daily, starpress xl 75 in morning and starpress xl 50 in evening. Is it possible for me to stop this medicines anytime soon. I did not have any heart attack, but had detected 95% block in my left artery during regular chest examination. My age is 40.

Brilinta and ecospirin are blood thinners. They are essential for stents. These can be adjusted, modified, but they cannot be stopped. All your medicines are generally required after stent. Please discuss on phone if you require specific instructions.

Creatinine of 4 is quite advanced case. No one wants to lose their family members, spend time with her and make her comfortable and happy. God does not give everyone such opportunity for service to a beloved grandparent. Do not punish her sick body for some personal satisfaction or glory.

Cholesterol consistently above 330 is high, yours not so. Triglycerides rise with alcohol sugar jaggery and starchy foods. Reduce these for good health.

10 years back I got an heart attack. 1 stent was put. How long would this stent last?

10 years back I got an heart attack. 1 stent was put. How long would this stent last?
7% of stents fail in first year, and after that about 1% per year. So there is about 90% chance of this stent functioning for another ten years.

I'm having low blood pressure, how can I bring my blood pressure to ideal condition.

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine, DM - Cardiology, Fellowship in EP

Low BP is usually just a belief, not a disease. In general, the lower the BP, the longer the life. Measure BP only once every year on fixed dates after resting for ten minutes.
