Hi, Did you mean you have been diagnosed with Paranoid Personality Disorder? If yes then, it is a disorder that can be managed with regular medication and counselling. Because you could not tell your husband about your condition, you must have had to deal with the emotional turmoil of hiding this secret and worrying if he would get to know about your condition. It can lead to stress and anxiety. In addition, being a mother to a newborn comes with its own share of challenges, for a woman it can result in a variety of hormonal changes. The hormonal changes may have affected your condition and your medication may need alteration. When are the last time you visited your psychiatrist? Pls get a new diagnosis and prescription is what I would suggest, before you leave. I would also advise regular counselling. You need support and you are not alone. There is no need for you to face this alone, seek support and tell you husband about your condition. Trust is most important in a relationship. Be honest and allow him to support you. Also, understanding a bit more about your condition is important, people are there to help you. Hope you feel better soon.

Hello lybrate-user! First of all if he loves you and you are only in love with each other he should forget the past and stay happy now! Another thing if you had intercourse only few times in past it will not affect the size of vaginal cavity now! Many pelvic exercise are there to make pelvic muscle tight again you search on net n do that! And no such examination is there to prove what you had asked above! Some female like athlet, sport person don't have hymen only though they are virgin!

My daughter is suffering from anxiety, panic, attention deficiency etc etc and is refusing reference to Psychiatrist, I am her fathe. R. Is proxy treatment is allowed and if if it is allowed is it legal.

Proxy treatment for an adult refusing treatment requires you to submit a petition to magistrate/ judge who will examine the said person by summoning and then refer her to a psychiatrist (medical board) for assessment by a reception order. Based on the psychiatric teams finding the said person can be forceful treated under the judge's supervision so human rights are not violated at the same time, a suffering mentally ill person lacking insight, get treated correctly. All the best.

There are few medications that help to quit smoking but of all those the better one is your will. You have to stick to the rule that you will never smoke. Then only you can stop smoke.

In a situation depression like this you need to achieve more mind control. Yoga and medication are good. Also read or listen to music if you like it. And divert your mind by talking to good friend or relatives. Is your sleep deprived. You need constant support. Ask privately with all your details. Have you tested thyroid any time?

I need to know which is more harmful, a cigarette or bidi. I smoke daily one cigrate except Saturday Sunday because I don't like smoking at home on my offs and also my body does not ask for it so much that I have to take it like many people have great urge. But somehow I feel I should not quit it because one cigrate everyday gives me enjoyment and since I am having only one I feel I can go with it, not so serious. If bidi is not harmful than cigrate I wonder if it will be a good move to switch over it as I don't smoke publicly so can use it. Please educate me.

Dear lybrate-user, Welcome to Lybrate. Cigarette and bidi are equally harmful. Tobacco is addictive. Cigarette also contains 4000+ carcinogenic chemicals other than nicotine. Nicotine and other chemicals can cause cancer of different types and areas. Throat cancer, mouth cancer, lung cancer, stomach cancer and brain problems can result. Over and above smoking may also increase the risk factor of heart attack and brain stroke. Please quit smoking. The best method is to leave it and continue with your will power. There are other methods like Nicotine Replacement therapy and pharmacotherapy combined. If you’re ready to stop smoking and willing to get the support you need, you can recover from nicotine addiction and abuse—no matter how bad the addiction or how powerless you feel. The first step in treating nicotine addiction is accepting that you have a problem. Confronting an addiction and accepting responsibility for your actions isn’t easy. But it’s a necessary step on the road to treatment and recovery. You should then consult a psychiatrist / psychologist who fill follow this treatment. 1. Detoxification using medicines. 2. Behavior modification with the help of therapies. 3. Counseling. 4. Medication to sustain and 5. Long term support. These given steps are essential for any addict to get effectively rid of smoking. Therefore, you need to stick to the treatment plan and cooperate with your psychiatrist / psychologist. Mind power building therapy, motivation therapy etc should help you doing so. Take care.

I am feeling low all the time; feel suicidal sometimes; cant enjoy with my husband and daughter; am always tensed about work and other issues; have pains in my hand and neck; cannot take criticism even as a joke; why am i like this?

You are into depression. Go and meet a psychiatrist and get some medication for the same. At the same time talk to a counselor about your problems. I particularly think that you are not expressing anger appropriately: this can cause the depression and all the aches and pains, which are psychosomatic in nature. It appears that your anger is simmering on the surface itching to come out. If you did nothing about it, it will one day burst out uncontrollably and cause more damage to relationships, which are already looking quite fragile. In time you will not respect your life and these suicidal thoughts will plague you. Just express your anger. Warn people that you need to vent out your emotion and that you are not necessarily interested in a response but purely wanting to move the feeling out. Understanding people will give you support. Now this is a lesson for you to always deal with your feelings by expression.
