A x-ray must again if there is no issue then start ultrasonic therapy and swd for few days it will help you.

I had ACL reconstruction with meniscus repair on 11.11.2017. I have started trying to walk with both legs but find it difficult (pain and instability ).Is it necessary to use a braced knee cap ?Please advise.

After ACL reconstruction most patients can usually walk within 10 days. If it was an old ACL ligament injury it's possible that you have weak muscles which can take longer rehabilitation time. You should get help of a good physiotherapist. Whether knee brace is needed or not should be decided by your operating surgeon as he only knows the stability of your knee.

I am suffering from Plantar fasciitis.in April I consulted doctor. After 10 days doctor gave me steroid injection. Which completely reduced pain until this month SEP. Now I am seeing again pain in my left leg. So how to cure permanently. I searched Google there are exercise to follow. Can you tell me how long it will take to cure. What are food diets. I need information how to cure this.

Heel Pain: Get treated with Ultrasonic therapy which would directly heal the calcaneal spur (inflammation of the calcaneum bone) which causes the heel pain in majority of the cases. Along with ultrasonic therapy, shortwave diathermy also can be given. Simultaneously it is better to wear MCR chappals (micro cellular rubber) which will help to transfer the weight evenly in the feet so that the weight will be completely felt in the heel area. Simultaneously it is better to wear MCR chappals (micro cellular rubber) which will help to transfer the Plantar Fascitis weight evenly in the feet so that the weight will be completely felt in the heel area. You shall do contrast bath to relieve this pain. Contrast bath is nothing but keeping in one tub hot water (bearable heat) and in another tub cold water Ask your father to apply ice in the painful area which would definitely help to greater extent. If still the pain persists then it is better to keep TENS stimulation at one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics.

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Dear doctor I am 32 years old and recently started lower back pain during my regular walk. On consulting orthopaedic doctor dr. Said x-ray shows normal nothing to worry. But I still feel the problem. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young and should not be having regular back pains but it's well known that our spine can have certain issues which leads to these painful attacks. From being just a simple muscular strain to a degenerative disc issue, it can be anything. My advise to you seeing your age and symptoms only localized to your lower back region with no radiculopathy or any other neurological symptoms, would be: - catch hold of a good physical therapist, start your back muscle training & strengthening, abdominal strengthening and general conditioning ex - take adequate care of your posture especially while at work, home etc - continue with your brisk walks initially for a less distance and increase it gradually. - you can take anti-inflammatory medication which suits you for 5-7 days and it should give you adequate pain relief. - x rays normally do not show anything unless there is a bony pathology in spine, hence to actually see whats wrong, it is better to get mri done, but maybe do your physical therapy well in pain free periods, and you may become better gradually. Hello, Body pain may be due to 1. fever 2. abrupt start or stop of exercise 3. Any other medical disease like Anaemia/ Hypoproteinemia/ Thyroid problem 4. Vit D deficiency 5. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).
