Hello lybrate-user! Infant cry due to many reasons! Check if you have adequate breast milk coming! Formula milk is not digestible with all babies! They may vomit it out or they may cause constipation! Burp your baby after every feed! Try to c if her tummy have gas is she passes gas! Give colicaid drops if she is h ing discomfort in stomach! If you want you can give one time formula milk! Start with little amount! Take care.

You have not mentioned wt n ht of your daughter in your query though these have been mentioned on top which are not consistent to each other. Cerelac is not proper diet for 2 years old child. She needs all home made nutritious food stuff of her choice rather thrusting your choice on her, it appears so. Leave her free to choose her items. Avoid sugar rich drinks, toffee, chocolates etc. Her choice is best appetizer.

I don't know what can be problem.just feed the infant on demand a8lmost 2 hourly.you will see milk will be suffice as judged by weight gain of child.just see you must have good size nipples for easy sucking.we avoid using other milk.if very necessary than feed cows milk fresh one third diluted, fully boiled by spoon only.

Dear sir/madam In the beginning, I must give Lybrate doctors a lot of thanks for giving medical advices earlier. I have a 5.5 months old baby now. He weighs 6.5 kgs .my wife can't feed him breast milk sufficiently. So my son cries. Please suggest what to do? Can I use hairloss or cerelac? Or biscuits with milk? Or homemade fruit purees? Or rice dal ?here our local pediatricians do not suggest food habit broadly. Please give a complete food list for a 5.5 months baby.

You can start with complementary foods like dal mashed potatoes mashed bananas curd kheer suji halva. U need to give 3 to 5 times wheat/ rice / cereals in any form like churi mashed rice kheer parantha stuffed and mashed halva atta or suji etc and 2 times snacks which may include fruits and vegetables mashed. Extra you can give water in drinking no juices with preservatives. Cerelac you can use but home made food best.

You can use a sterile gauze with savlon solution to clean it and cover it with sterile bandage. You can do the dressing every day once. If the would is pink then it is healthy, if it shows lot of ous then it is infected and needs medical attention. (usually the wound gets better in 1- 2 weeks depending on the extent of damage ). Read about hygiene and follow the safety precautions.
