Sir yesterday I went to a barber shop to get shave & I got a tiny cut onto which the barber applied an alum which he may have used on other customers as well, now I worried about getting any sort of infection such as hepatitis, so please if this can lead to any infection.

MD - Dermatology, Diploma in Venerology & Dermatology (DVD), MBBS
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Bangalore
Yes there is a small possibility. But you need not worry. Get hbsag and hepatitis c test done. If you are negative you can get vaccinated forhep b if not already done. Repeat test after 6 month. Hep b is highly contagious. Avoid getting shave in barbers shop. It will be better if we carry a razor of our own for shaving the edges after a hair cut. Dont share toothbrushes, combs razors with anyone. Even if infected 80 to 90 % of adults end up with self cure and now there are medicines to treat the infection.

Sir I want skin whitening treatment by injection gultax 500gs its is help full for me. My f4nd is also buy this. And this is osm.

Hello, you should know the side effects of skin whitening injections. Of course, one of the primary concerns with this type of skin whitening treatment is the negative side effects associated with the whitening option. One negative side effect that many are concerned with is the appearance of the whitening. Other than the skin whitening, some reportedly claim hair loss, white spots on their nails, numbness and tingling of extremities, anxiety, depression, and the shakes. Some people unknowingly suffer from an allergy to glutathione. Unfortunately they do not find this out until after they have been injected with this ingredient. Some have also reported systemic infections, as well as worsening asthma-related symptoms. The overuse of glutathione can lead to kidney failure, and, as mentioned before, the ingredient counteracts chemotherapy drugs; so anyone with cancer receiving chemotherapy should not use these injections. Follow the ctm (cleansing, toning and moisturizing) routine daily.

Was is the symptoms of hair loss and how to prevent loss please tell me I am worried about.

Trichologist
Dermatologist, Mumbai
Hair growth and the fall ratio is 80: 20. Always 20 % of hair are in fall phase. We have 1, 50, 000 hair all over the scalp. So loosing 50 to 100 strands of hair while oiling, washing and combing is normal. If the hair comes out even on slightest touch then it is considered as hair fall. If hair fall is since long, then it is important to check signs of thinning as hair fall can be initial sign of thinning. Consult trichologist.

I'm 19 years old. Im getting black spots on my face. And getting too much hairfall. What you will suggest me to do.

MBBS, DNB (Dermatology)
Dermatologist, Mumbai
Hi! Use a good sunscreen for spots. Send photos on private chat for the same. For hair: While genetics play a big role, some additional factors can aggravate hair loss - hormonal imbalance, stress, thyroid disease, anemia, protein deficiency, chemotherapy, and low vitamin levels may cause hair loss in you. Start by following a good diet - Eat adequate amount of protein. Your hair is made up mainly of proteins. Include skimmed milk, cottage cheese, lentils. Vitamin C, Zinc and Vitamin B are other important nutrients for great hair health. So include lot of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains in your daily diet. Exercise daily to keep yourself healthy inside out. Next important step is to follow good hair care - Oiling your hair with a mixture of oils like olive, sesame, coconut and castor oil keeps provides moisture to your hair and prevent them from drying and breakage.

Follow below mention tips 1. Wash your face at least 2 times a day. Use gentle soap or face wash or cleanser. 2. After washing your face apply toner. Toner remover excess oil from your skin that the soap or facewash missed in addition to closing your pores. 3. Use some moisturizer using lotion in the morning acts as a primer for your makeup, helping it" stick" to your face throughout the day. Moisturizing at night helps your skin repair itself and stave off wrinkles. Bottom line, it's one of the best things you can do for glowing skin over the long term. 4. Scrub your face once a week. A simple scrub of sugar mixed with honey makes a great exfoliator. Rinse it off with warm water. You could also exfoliate with a dry brush made for the face. Brush your face using small, circular motions. 5. Protect your skin from sun. For natural medicines and creams ask me on private.

My hair are getting grey. Is there any way Aur treatment by that. Greying of hair get stop.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello. We can't make the grey hair turn black, but of course, prevent further greying! The causes of premature greying of hair are several. Here we have listed out a few common causes. Heredity is a major reason for hair greying Excessive use of tobacco and smoking Chronic emotional stress or psychological worries Lack of nutrients such as vitamins, iron, copper and iodine in the diet Medical conditions such as anemia, hypothyroidism, tuberous sclerosis or neurofibromatosis Home Remedies: 1. Add the curry leaves to the oil and boil it for 6 to 8 minutes, or till the leaves turn black. Remove from flame and let it cool. Strain the oil in a container and massage your scalp and hair with this oil 3 to 4 times per week before going to bed. Wash off with a mild herbal shampoo in the morning. 2. Turn the fenugreek seeds to a smooth powder and keep aside. Heat the oil and add the amla pieces to it, let it boil for 5 to 6 minutes, add the fenugreek powder to the oil, let it boil for another minute and remove from flame. Let it cool and strain the oil, apply on scalp and hair before going to bed. Wash off with a mild herbal shampoo in the morning. 3. Mix onion and lemon juice in a glass bowl and apply on scalp and hair evenly. Leave it on for 30 minutes and wash off with a mild herbal shampoo. Repeat it 4 to 5 times a week for 2 weeks. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine – Schwabe's Acid Phos. 200/ once daily and Weisbaden 200/ twice daily – all of them for 1 month. And a multivitamin - A to Z/ 1 cap. daily once for 1 month (as deficiency of zinc, copper and selenium can also cause premature greying). Use Schwabe's Arnica Shampoo and Hair Growth Oil. Revert me back.

I am a medical student. Since last year I am having excessive hair fall itching in scalp I even consulted a dermatologist but after completing my course of medicines. The hair fall came to the same level I want to know both diet and clinical treatment for this hair fall.

BHMS, MD - Alternate Medicine
Homeopath, Nagpur
Hair fall may happen due to many reason like anaemia, nutritional deficiency, skin disorder, mental and physical trauma. In homoeopathy, a huge no. Of wonderful medicines are present that are used to tackle hair fall. You have to maintain your diet, avoid strong chemical effects, styling tools and remove the cause first and also follow the step. If needed we can provide you the hair care regimen, totally natural, free from artificial fragrances and colors which can stop the hair fall naturally.

You can wash your hairs daily but do not apply soap or shampoo regularly. Always take a oil massage before shampoo. Better to use an aayurvedic shampoo, apply some curd over scalp once or twice in a week.

Tell me something to glow a skin. What should I eat for glowing skin. And that all things by which I can glow my skin.

MD - Dermatology
Dermatologist, Pathanamthitta
there are a lot of food which can bring back the glow in your skin. There, s more to them than just colours and being fruits and vegetables. They act at a molecular level to maintain the color, tone, texture of skin. Have plenty of fruits especially colored ones, blue and purple fruits like grapes, blackberries, blackcurrants, blueberries, plums, egg plants, strawberries, cranberries are rich in anthocyanin phytonutrients which is a potent antioxidant which repairs collagen and smoothes the skin. Tomatoes contain lycopene and they r the most powerful antioxidant which protects the skin from ageing effects like wrinkles, blemishes, pigmented spots, darkness and dullness. Among vegetables, cabbage, broccoli, brussels contain antioxidant glucosinolate which metabolises oestrogen and soften the skin and improve its texture and vascularity. Green tea with its epicatechin repairs damaged dna and thereby maintains skin structure. Use a broad spectrum sunscreen both indoors as well as before going out. It shud b both uva and uvb protective. Use a cap or scarf or your dupatta to cover your head. Avoid scrubbing your face. Do not steam or sauna. If you swim, use a sunscreen prior to it and after.Avoid face cosmetics for the time being. You can press powder onto your sunscreen if at all you want to use a cosmetic. Drink two litres of water everyday.

I am 22 years male. I have skin problem since 5 years. Now I am going through treatment using natural herbs. But rashes are still their. I am tired of itching. Is there any medicine to avoid rashes.

BAMS
Ayurveda, Ambala
Rashes on skin are mostly caused due to allergy or called hypersensitivity. It may caused by some special food items or cloth fabrics. * you are advised to please check the clothes you are wearing. Avoid all types of synthetic cloths like nylon & use only cotton clothes to avoid rashes. * avoid peanuts, jaggery (gur), garlic, tila, cashew, pista, dates, spices, curd, egg, chicken, alcohol because these food increase the internal heat of body which may also cause redness of skin & appearance of reddish spots, itching & burning. * apply calamine lotion on sites of rashes to get relief from itching & burning. * drink upto 2-3 liters of water everyday. * practice sheetali pranayan in the morning for 5-8 minutes. You can ask me to get detail of this pranayam.

I'm having a Dandruff Problem form last Year and it is not cured yet. The dandruff has been causing pimples on my face skin. Pls suggest me a way to get rid of this.

BHMS
Homeopath, Sindhudurg
Dandruff is the one of the hair chronic. When we face the dandruff our hair scalp is itching and flaking. It is the worst hair problem faced many people. The dandruff leads to the itching, irritation, hair loss and hair thinning. The regular usage of the shampoos can’t clear the dandruff completely. They just washed the dandruff after 4-5 days dandruff is coming back. There are medicated shampoos in the market to treat the dandruff. Use the homoepathic shampoo and oil along with homoepathic treatment to treat the dandruff. Massage 2 tablespoons of lemon juice into your scalp and let it sit for a minute. Mix 1 teaspoon of lemon juice into 1 cup of water and rinse your hair with it. Repeat daily until no longer needed. While excess oil can be a root cause of dandruff, homoepathic arnica oil can still be helpful in keeping it under control. All time best home remedy to remove dandruff quickly and effectively with fenugreek seeds. Soak 2 tsp of fenugreek (methi) seeds in water overnight. Grind methi seeds into a fine paste the next morning. Apply this paste on the scalp, leave for half an hour and wash off. You can add the lemon juice or curd to the fenugreek paste also. Do not throw the water in which fenugreek seeds were soaked. Use this water as an after-shower hair tonic or last rinse. Follow the regime once in a week. Aloe Vera is a wonderful plant that is available right at your kitchen garden. You have to pluck a leaf, cut it from the middle and extract the gel from there. Apply Aloe vera gel to your scalp and hair before hair wash. It is very effective in treating dandruff & itchy oily scalp. You can also get a soothing touch over your scalp along with eradication of dandruff. Use 2-4 days old curd to do this. All you need to do is apply this curd on to your scalp and hair. Wash off after 20 minutes.
