•Start by cleaning your skin using a special cleansing gel or oil. Do not use products that contain alcohol or acid since they can damage your skin further. Steam your face for about 10-15 minutes to open clogged pores. Add a few drops of basil or rosemary in the water for a rejuvenating effect. •Next, gently exfoliate your skin. Use a gentle face scrub of a known brand. You could even make your own natural scrub by combining ground sugar and a little milk! This process will help you remove dirt, dead cells, blackheads and whiteheads that block your skin. •The third step involves using a good toner that would close the open pores, thus diminishing their appearance. Along with closing pores, toners also help to remove soap residue and makeup, which often render a large appearance to the pores. •Finally, use a light moisturizer, preferably a water-based one that would reduce the oiliness of your skin.

There is scar (stich marks) on my forehead I want to remove it help me? Sugest me some medicines or homeremidy.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

There is scar (stich marks) on my forehead I want to remove it help me? Sugest me some medicines or homeremidy.
Baking Soda Take some baking soda. Mix some water with the baking soda and apply this mixture on the stitch marks. Baking soda serves as an agent that carries out micro dermabrasion on the skin and helps to clear the stitch marks on the face and body. Tomatoes Tomatoes are rich in Vitamin A, which helps nourish the dead skin while rejuvenating it. Vitamin A helps by healing the skin and by helping facilitate quick growth of the skin while removing the scars. Using tomatoes to help heal the scars on the skin is not a lengthy process, but it is rather simple. Just take a tomato, slice it and make it into a pulp. Apply the pulp on the face and leave it on for twenty minutes’ time. Then, wash it off with some warm water. You could also mix cucumbers with it. Make a paste out of all of cucumbers and tomatoes and apply as a face mask. Leave it on for half an hour and wash it with some cool water. Follow this method two days at a time every week and observe the results.

Hi, I suffered from jock itch for a few months, I initially tried the Candid Dusting powder which helped a little but the itching was always back so then I took a anti fungal cream from pharmacy named Clobiprop NM which helped reducing the rashes but still they came back as soon as I stopped applying the cream. So after multiple Attempts I applied a stronger cream Clop GM which reduced the rash and itch but now the skin is turned white and it hurts and itches. Please suggest some cure or medication.

it's no use of applying stringer chemical medicines. Now is the time to switch to the ayurveda. Initially do it for a month and see results yourself. First of all clean surface preferably with neem water, let dry, apply marichyadi tel all over. Better do it twice. Also one tip that scratch skin a bit and then apply this oil. Check tendency of your skin to catch such infection/ allergy etc.

What You Need To Know About Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures?

M.Ch (Plastic)

What You Need To Know About Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures?

Non-surgical cosmetic procedures are non-invasive procedures that make the skin look smoother and unblemished. These include dental cosmetic procedures as well, which are carried out to make your teeth look whiter and properly aligned.

Since surgical procedures are complicated with certain risk factors involved, they may not always be the preferred choice. This is when non-surgical procedures come in. Non-surgical cosmetic procedures can reduce wrinkles, alter the appearance of the lips, remove blemishes, moles and thread veins and even smooth the surface of the skin.

What are the types of non-surgical treatments you can opt for?

There are several types of non-surgical treatments. The commonly-used ones include:

Muscle paralysis by injecting botox into the muscles

Botox or botunilaum toxin type a is treatment used for removing skin blemishes. It is injected into a particular part of the face to reduce fine lines and wrinkles that usually appear at middle age. It is very popular as people consider it as an effective and relatively safer procedure compared to other invasive procedures.

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are injections that are used to fill in wrinkles and creases on the skin surface. They also play a part in increasing the volume and size of the lips.

Chemical peels

Chemical peels are specifically designed liquids that remove dead skin cells on the surface of the skin and accelerate the growth of new cells. They improve the general appearance of the skin, reduce uneven pigmentation and eliminate acne. There are three types of chemical peels - superficial, medium and deep.

Non-surgical laser treatments

These forms of treatment are usually used to remove unwanted hair on the face and body, and to remove tattoos from the skin surface. In laser hair removal treatment, a laser beam is used to heat the small cavities in the skin from which the hair grow out. This process damages the follicles and reduces the growth of hair.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a procedure in which fine crystals and vacuum are used to remove dead cells from the skin surface. It successfully eliminates wrinkles and skin blemishes.

What are the risks?

Non-surgical procedures are less harmful than surgical procedures. However, over correction can be difficult to treat, as well as asymmetrical placement of fillers and allergic reactions to the procedures. You should discuss the allergies and other potential complications of the procedure with the doctor. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon.

Adult Rashes - When Should You Visit Your Dermatologist?

Whether your complexion is fair or dark, almost everyone suffers from a rash at some point of time of the other. A rash can be described as a change in colour of texture of the skin. Most rashes are not life threatening. Skin rashes can be triggered by bacterial, vital or fungal infections and respond well to over the counter topical medication or oral antihistamines. May rashes are also triggered by a change in weather conditions and humidity or dry skin. However, there are some instances where a rash should not be ignored and a doctor should be consulted.

When a rash is accompanied by other symptoms
As a general rule of thumb, a rash that is accompanied by fever, muscle aches, crams etc should not be ignored. In such cases the rash is usually a symptom of a larger problem such as measles, scarlet fever and shingles or an allergic reaction.

Rashes that do not respond to medication
Rashes can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to completely heal but regular use of topical creams and oral antihistamines should how improvements in a day or two. Any rash that does not respond to topical ointments and continues to spread to other parts of your body must be shown to a doctor at once.

Widespread rashes
Most rashes are localized and restricted to a small area. Widespread rashes are usually a sign of allergies and need medical attention. Rashes that emerge suddenly should also be shown to a doctor as soon as possible.

Painful rashes
While itchiness may be commonly associated with many types of rashes, pain is a symptom of a bigger problem. Painful rashes should be immediately shown to a doctor.

Rashes that become infected
Rashes that itch may cause scratching that can lead to added infections. Hence, ideally, a rash should never be scratched. Swelling, yellow or green discharge, crusting, warmth in the area around the rash and red streaks radiating out from the rash are signs of infections.

A rash that begins to blister
Most rashes only cause bump on the surface of the skin. If these bumps turn into blisters or open sores, medical attention should be immediately sought. This is especially necessary in cases where the rash is around the eyes, mouth or genitals. A blistering rash may be due to an allergic reaction, reaction to medication or an internal trigger. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist and ask a free question.

Hello lybrate-user, if you already have light skin, avoiding going out in the sun will help you get lighter skin because then your skin will not get tanned. Even if you have to go, keep your skin covered, apply sun screen and wear sun glasses. Regarding soaps and creams, avoid using soap on face, you can use any face wash like clean and clear or nivea. Use a moisturizer with spf 15 to 30.

BAMS

More black heads on my skin. And oily skin. How can I remove the black heds. Stop the increase?
These are the methods to treat black heads -.• Blackheads are formed due to blocking of skin pores. Steam your face to open the pores, which in turn clear the skin. Steam your face for a couple of minutes. • Do YOGASANA daily. Especially do SINHASANA & SARVANGASANA daily. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your face again & again because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. • Mix black pepper powder in some water to make paste & apply on the blackheads three times a week. • Take cucumber and papaya pulp. Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric. Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. • Take 2 teaspoon of MAHAMANJISTHARISTA of BAIDYANATH company, meal it in a glass of water & take it once a day after meals
