You can get a comprehensive cancer screening done where broadly all cancers are screened like head and neck chest abdomen, pelvis prostate, anorectum etc or else you can get a detailed examination by ent surgeon, chest xray, ultrasound whole abdomen, cea psa, stool for occult blood etc checked in good lab.

Dear sir, symptoms of cancer depends on the organ or the part of body involved and most commonly it may be a lump, nonhealing ulcer, abnormal bleeding, weight loss, difficulty in swallowing, change in bowelor bladder habits, change in voice, breathing difficulty, altered bowel habits etc. One has to take care of any abnormal symptoms persisting beyond a normal period and go for check up. Even if no symptoms are there then should go for screening check up annually for diagnosis of disease in precancerous stage or early stage.

Lung cancer is very fast spreading cancer, if cancer is limited only to lungs ; then its better to go for surgery as once it involve other body parts it may get very lethal .it is best advisable to go for surgery, maintain a healthy protein diet.

Cancer can have many symptoms depending on where the cancer has arisen from. For example, if there is a lung cancer, it can present as coughing with lot of sputum or blood. It may present as a lump or swelling like in breast cancer, etc prevention is always better than cure. So it is always wise to prevent things that cause cancer, eg. Smoking. Any cancer if detected early, can be treated ususally. So we should be more aware and guarded. It is not necessary that a person has diabetes if he/she has cancer. I hope that helps you.

Hi My friend has had swollen lymph nodes in his groin (only). His primary told him that if the glands are still swollen for two more weeks, he should see a hematologist. The primary spoke about lymphoma- but the research that I have done would suggest that swollen lymph glands in the groin would.

European Society for Medical Oncology certification, DM - Oncology, MD - General Medicine, MBBS
Oncologist, Faridabad
Dear lybrate-user, swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpit or groin can sometimes mean a lymphoma, but it can also be other forms of cancer, a thorough work up is required in such cases, which includes blood investigations, imaging and in appropriate cases, biopsy of the nodes for establishing diagnosis and immunophenotyping. Your friend should seek opinion from a medical oncologist/hematoncologist for proper care. Best wishes.

She got attacked by breast tumor. And it's become hard and spread to left breast please give me some homeopathic remedies.

BHMS, Certified in Aesthetic Skin Treatments, Certified in Applied Behaviour Analysis
Homeopath, Mumbai
Fibro adenomas are non-cancerous (benign) and harmless tumors which are made up of fibrous tissues of the breast. These are common in adolescent and young women. The incidence of Fibroadenoma reduces with increasing age. Diagnosis is based upon: Clinical history, Physical examination, Mamography – It is the process of using low amplitude x rays to examine breast and Biopsy – Women in their teenage do not need biopsy, if lump dissolves on it’s own. Dangerous signs : Sudden increase in size of tumor. Pain in breast not affected by menstrual cycle. Hard, immovable tumors. Transformation of Fibroadenoma into cancerous tumor is very rare. Homeopathic medicines are prescribed after studying patient’s complete case history. It enhances the body’s self healing mechanism (immunity) thus further recurrence of fibroadenoma can be prevented. Consult.
