I am constantly having acne or pimples on my face. I tried not eating any oily and fried products but it didn't help at all. I do apply acnestar but I don't think it works properly. Kindly help.

Pimples develop when sebaceous glands, or oil glands, become clogged and infected, leading to swollen, red lesions filled with pus. This clogging can result from dead skin cells, excess oil, dirt, grime, and other impurities other include hormonal imbalance, stress, digestive problems, oiling of scalp, dandruff etc. To prevent so :1) clay mask- Add the essential oil to the clay powder and also some rose water, Mix everything to get a smooth paste, Apply this as a thin layer on the forehead and let it dry for 10-15 minutes. Rinse it off with water as it will absorb excess oil and also act as antimicrobial 2) apply lemon juice over pimples. 3) Drink lots of water and include green leafy vegetables and fruits in your diet. Avoid fried foods and artificial tasters and almost anything that disrupts your tummy’s happiness. 4) Exercising regularly helps you relieve stress and improves the body’s circulatory process 5) Cleanse your skin to remove any dirt and grime buildup. After this, use a toner to balance the skin’s pH levels and follow it up with a hydrating moisturizer. If you have cystic acne, consult a specialist so that you can use the right skin care products and take the right medications to keep it under control.

Getting Rid Of Wrinkles

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, M.Ch - Plastic Surgery

Getting Rid Of Wrinkles

Wrinkles are a normal yet unsightly sign of aging, which can come about due to various reasons including too much exposure to the sun, poor diet, excessive smoking and drinking, lack of proper sleep, advent of age, loss of moisture and elasticity as well as collagen, which creates a smooth and supple look and other such reasons. Cosmetic and plastic surgeons are now turning to a variety of methods to lessen the pronounced look of wrinkles and remove them for younger looking skin.

Here are a few methods currently in use:

  • Fillers: Fillers like collagen and others including poly lactic acid, Calcium Hydroxylapatite and Hyaluronic acid can be used to restore the elasticity of the skin even as they provide precious hydration. These injectables can be used on the face as well as on hands for a smooth and supple look.
  • Botox: To get rid of the lines on the forehead and to prevent the onset of more pronounced wrinkles, Botox or Botulinum Toxin Type A is a favoured element used by many cosmetic surgeons and dermatologists. This is usually administered via injection.
  • Retinoids: This is administered with a surgical procedure in order to remove uneven pigmentation as well as the roughness of skin, which sets in with age and excessive smoking and sun exposure. It may cause skin peeling and redness.
  • Laser: The use of laser resurfacing can also help in stimulating collagen production of the skin, which restores some of its elasticity so that wrinkles may be removed and further wrinkles prevented.
  • Surgery: The use of surgical methods like face lifts, brow lifts and other cosmetic processes can help in giving the skin a tighter look, which does away with the appearance of wrinkles. These are usually minor procedures from which one will heal fast.
  • Dermabrasion: This method is a surgical one that basically sands the surface of the skin in order to remove the wrinkles. It can cause side effects like permanent discolouration of the skin as well as scarring of sensitive skin in particular.
  • Peels: Glycolic acid peels and deeper peels that use elements like Salicylic acid can be used to go deep into the skin and making it smooth again. It basically makes a difference to the fine lines. There is a chance of side effects like scarring, bruising and general discolouration in this method as well.

Adequate sleep, good nutrition, avoiding excessive sun exposure and a good skin care regimen can help in keeping wrinkles at bay for a long time. Moisturising with products that contain plenty of vitamin A and E can also help in reducing fine lines.

This cream has steroids which have a long list of side effects on your face eg, hair growth, wrinkling, pimples, irritation, redness etc. Such creams are never to be used without prescription. Use a gentle cleansing lotion and a good sunscreen on your face. Take a. Nutritious diet rich in antioxidants (green vegetables and fresh fruits). Do not use any other depigmenting cream without consulting a dermatologist as it may aggravate your problem.

It should never be applied to full face because it will surely leave a dark spot with skin peeling and remember to apply only on the affected area

Hello, there are different types of laser therapies available in the market for hair removal. It beams highly concentrated light into hair follicles. Pigment in the follicles absorb the light. That destroys the hair. Lasers are useful for removing unwanted hair from the face, leg, arm, underarm, bikini line, and other areas. Lasers can selectively target dark, coarse hairs while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. Small areas such as the upper lip can be treated in less than a minute, and large areas, such as the back or legs, may take up to an hour. Most patients have permanent hair loss after an average of three to seven sessions. And later in few cases, maintenance sittings are also needed in future.
