I am having a knee pain from last 1 week. It usually pains when I workout. Like when I extend my knee after flexion a sound comes as if 2 bones are getting rubbed due to friction. What is the cause. I have felt similar situation before also but x-ray revealed there is no abnormality. Is it just becoz of exercise or some problem?

3 Best Stretches/exercises for Low Back Pain/lumbar Spondylosis

3 Best Stretches/exercises for Low Back Pain/lumbar Spondylosis

I  Low Back Foam Roll

Lower back pain is one of the leading reasons people visit a doctor or chiropractor. This foam rolling technique releases tension in the lower back, strengthens the muscles, and improves flexibility.

Low Back Foam Roll

LOWER BACK

1. Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet on the floor. Place the foam roller in the middle of your back and relax your arms out to the sides.

2.Roll up and down the mid- to lower part of your back. If you feel a spot that’s tender or tight, spend more time working that particular area. Perform the rolling movement for 15 to 30 seconds

II Cat and Camel

Whether your issue is neck stiffness, low back pain, trouble squatting, or struggling to stand tall, all of these can be improved by increasing flexibility in your spine. This stretch targets the entire length of the spine Cat and Camel.

1. Begin in a table top position with your back flat, knees on the floor, and hands positioned directly under your shoulders. Your neck should align with your spine.

2.Slowly arch your spine downward by releasing your hips. Press down as far as is comfortable as you exhale.

3.Arch your back upward by rounding your shoulders at the top. Rise up as far as is comfortable as you inhale. Repeat this sequence 5 to 10 times.

III Spinal Rotation

Low back pain is one of the most common reasons for missed work, but it can be relieved or even prevented with proper stretching. The spinal rotation is great for alleviating low back pain as it allows the spine to elongate and relax, releasing tension and tightness in the area.

1. Lie flat on your back with your legs bent and feet flat on the floor. Use your abdominal muscles to push the small of the back into the floor. Extend your arms in line with your shoulders with palms down.

2.Keeping your shoulders and arms flat on the floor, drop both knees toward the left side as far as is comfortable. Hold the stretch in this position for 15 seconds and repeat on the opposite side.

CHALLENGING:

For a more extensive stretch, raise your feet off the ground with knees bent at a 90-degree angle. Challenge yourself even more by fully extending your legs throughout the stretch.

What Makes Back Pain Easy or Difficult to Manage?

The degree to which your back pain impinges on your way of living depends on a number of factors:

  • How severe your back pain is
  • How long it persists
  • How active a life you  lead
  • How old you are

Mild cases of back pain mean a couple of days away from work, or that you miss a couple of activities that you had planned. If the pain resolves itself quickly then things will soon return to normal. However, if back pain is severe and/or persists over a long period of time then it may stop you from carrying out your day-to-day activities, lower yourself-confidence, disrupt, cause depression.

For the majority of people (90%), back pain will resolve, largely by itself, within 6 weeks or so. Most people (60-70%) end up taking less than a week off work as a result of back pain and 90% of these people are back at work within 2 months.

Every morning when I getup feel so much pain in my back please suggest me some medical exercises so that I can get ri off tbis I will be very grateful to you.

You need to do back stretching and core strengthening exercise regularly. If you can add swimming to that you will do much better in 15 days time.

hello Lybrate user ,  Back pain that is associated with day time sedentary jobs like computer professional s are associated with paraspinal muscle spasms. The best way to tackle this sort of pain is to do well spaced Stretching exercises of the back, back extension exercises, using hot water bags to provide relief and avoiding stooping posture while sitting. Posture also plays a very important part in back pain, always maintain a straight posture while sitting. While getting up from the bed try to first go on your left or right side of the body and get up side ways. Avoid Cruntches or Sit-ups : they may increase the pressure on your back and may predispose to Slip Disc. Always maintain a healthy Lifestyle in terms of regular brisk walking , meditation , eating healthy. P.S : Try to avoid pain killers ( Analgesics ) as much as possible as many are associated with Side effects that you may not be aware of. Stay Healthy. Stay Happy God bless you

If your back pain is getting worse day by day, you may need surgery. However, before that try doing Yoga. Learn it from an expert. Also lower back massage therapy if possible can be included. Try this for at least 6 to 10 months, and if it helps, you could avoid a surgery.
