Dear lybrate-user good that you are doing exercise. Please go ahead gradually so that you do not injure your back. You can learn yoga and pranayam and practice on daily basis. If you get pain apply ice. For 20 min and avoid pain killers.

Requires detailed investigation and examination Presently investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d xray of the affected part. Anyway you may try sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

First Loose ur weight....do yoga or aerobics daily or walk daily whatever u feel comfortable. Go for fasting once a week. You can go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid diet to digest ama (toxin). Fasting should be followed by hot fomentation or by taking a bath with lukewarm water or steam bath. After fasting and fomentation, mix powdered long pepper, black pepper and dried ginger in equal quantities and take 1 teaspoon of this powdered mix with lukewarm water twice a day. This will help you restore your digestive fire. Take one tablespoon of castor oil before going to bed, once or twice a week. It helps in cleansing ama (toxin) build up and balancing vata. Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling.

Dear you can do Jumping into a workout without first warming up your muscles can increase joint pain, especially after age 40, says David Kruse, MD, a board certified sports medicine specialist with Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Irvine, CA" Joints hurt more when muscles and tendons are stiff. As we age, our joint mobility and tissue flexibility decline; a thorough warm-up helps accommodate these changes. It doesn’t have to be long and it doesn’t have to complicated: Five minutes of light movement, like an easy walk, is all you need to get that blood flowing, warm up your muscles, and get them ready for the task at hand. Use a foam roller. Joint pain can feel worse when your fascia (the elastic, weblike matrix of fibrous connective tissue that supports, binds, or separates your other tissues, joints, and organs), becomes dry and brittle—something that happens as we age. Ideally, your fascia acts a cushion for your joints, and helps to protect them from impact during exercise, says Sue Hitzmann, an exercise physiologist and creator of The Melt Method. The more hydrated your fascia, the more cushion you get. Creating gentle compression with a soft foam roller helps rehydrate your fascia by stimulating its cells and helping fluid move back into that tissue, says Hitzmann. While research shows that foam rolling before or after your workout can minimize discomfort, Hitzmann says that even doing it three times a week can reduce joint pain by about half. Get started with these 4 foam rolling exercises. 3. Shake things up. If you want to avoid overuse injuries—not to mention burnout and boredom—you know it’s not a great idea to do the same routine every single day. But mixing up your workouts is even more important if you have achy joints or arthritis, says Kruse. Muscles are involved in the control and function of joints; when they’re weak from overuse, your joint is forced to take on more impact. (So if you’re pushing through a run with overworked quads, for instance, you’re likely to feel it in your knees.) I am 66. For the last 6 years, I have noticed the following disorders which are gradually worsening- eds - I have noticed lack of touch sense in penis from 2006 and suddenly, in 2009, eds set in. No erection. Incontinence - started in 2007 and I panicked, got some homeo treatment which didn' t give any relief. Now I am able to identify the onset and rush to nearest bathroom or disaster. Knee pain - since 2011, it started innocuously, but it' s now acute and I need to hold on to something before standing up, flex calf muscles for 10 secs before I can start walking, as the knees are wobbly. Tingling in feet up to waist - this is the 0ne I am worried about most. It was mild at first, in 2010. From 2013, it is constant, I sense 40% distinct decreased touch sensation. I have no sense of urine passing through penis. I have to feel with my finger similar to taking a pulse. Pain from knee down to ankle, heaviness in feet - I can' t walk for 100 yards without my feet getting so heavy that I become immobile. There is constant pain in the shins. My blood sugar test, doppler test of blood vessels in shins, urine test normal. Prostate ultra sound gives slight enlargement for last 10 years. It is not changing. Psa negative. Please advise. Thanx.

It seems from your history that you have significant compression in lower spine region and I must say that you have neglected your treatment to a great extent because if there is peri-anal or saddle numbness, difficulty in passing urine, numbness in legs, you must get yourself evaluated and rule out cauda equina syndrome. I advise you to get in touch of a spine surgeon immediately, get required tests done like mri and x rays of spine, nerve conduction studies of lower limbs and get adequate treatment. Hi pain could be because of bony spurs in the heel. Get x-ray done. And wear heel cushions in the shoes, take ultrasound therapy and contrast bath in physiotherapy. It helps along with foot ankle ex's.

Ginger can help reduce inflammation of the blood vessels in the head, thus providing relief from a headache. Mix equal parts of ginger juice and lemon juice. Consume it once or twice a day. Another option is to apply a paste of one teaspoon of dry ginger powder, also called sonth, and two tablespoons of water on the forehead for a few minutes. For back pain take Mag phos 12 x - 4 tablets - thrice daily and additional dose at the time of pain. You can also do hot and cold compress alternately till the time you get relief.

Hi if you have localized back pain with - no neurological symptoms like numbness, paresthesia, weakness in limbs etc - go for physical therapy initially under supervision of a physiotherapist and then at home. - avoid forward bending, lifting heavy weights etc - take an analgesic for 5-7 days - ice packs at the site of pain - local analgesic spray can be used but no massage is required let me know in 1 week time. I will actually ask you to get x ray of involved region of spine ( ap & lateral views) blood tests: esr, crp and serum vitamin d levels and send reports across to me so that I can advise further in a better manner. Hi im siya 28 years old girl from delhi. Im having right side upper back pain which going to my shoulder and in my mid right side back. Its been 1 n half year pain here. Please do a ultrasound of whole abdomen as it could be due to gall-baldder stone - at least you can be assure you do not have it. Also a chest/cervical x-ray needs to be done Please do not expose your body to direct exposure of AC/fan - as this could be a maintaining cause of your problem. Hello lybrate user, back pain that is associated with day time sedentary jobs like computer professional s are associated with paraspinal muscle spasms. The best way to tackle this sort of pain is to do well spaced stretching exercises of the back, back extension exercises, using hot water bags to provide relief and avoiding stooping posture while sitting. Posture also plays a very important part in back pain, always maintain a straight posture while sitting. While getting up from the bed try to first go on your left or right side of the body and get up side ways. Avoid cruntches or sit-ups: they may increase the pressure on your back and may predispose to slip disc. Always maintain a healthy lifestyle in terms of regular brisk walking, meditation, eating healthy. P. S: try to avoid pain killers (analgesics) as much as possible as many are associated with side effects that you may not be aware of. Stay healthy. Stay happy god bless you.
