Dear lybrate user, you need to take homoeopathic carbo veg 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach. You can also try homoeopathic liver tonic liv-t (sbl company). Take 20 ml of the aforesaid liver tonic, thrice daily, after meals. Try to drink as much water as you can drink daily. Try to get an uninterrupted sleep of minimum 8 hours.

I am 32 years old, suffering from Hypothyroid from last 6 years. I am 5'8" height and 75 Kg weight. From last 1 year regularly I am doing walk for 6 km daily. Still I am not loosing my weight. As per BMI chart my ideal weight is between 65-69. I don't eat high calorie food also. I reducing high calorie food from last 6 years. Recently, I am feeling too much tired and unable to walk in the mornings. My Thyroid levels are normal, taking Thyronorm 75mcg everyday. I am feeling too much heaviness recently. Can you help me in this regard. I would like to lose weight to get into BMI normal range.

Hi! You can start by following a good diet - Eat adequate amount of protein. Your hair is made up mainly of proteins. Include skimmed milk, cottage cheese, lentils. Vitamin C, Zinc and Vitamin B are other important nutrients for great hair health. So include lot of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains in your daily diet. Exercise daily to keep yourself healthy inside out.

My mom age of 43 years. She Had previous history of hypothyroidism 9years back now the condition is normal using thyrofit 25mg and diabetic since 2years using metformin 250mg OD (RBG-232). Recently she is complaining joint pain. She had undergone endoscopy diagnosed with gastropathy and H. Pylori +ve for which she used antibiotics amox+clavu and clarithromycin 2weeks and after therapy lactobacilli spore 4tab per day but the condition is not good having burps lasting for hours. Give advice sir, what's the condition actually she is suffering. How to overcome high glucose levels.

Reduce extra weight by doing exercise and proper diet.Her blood sugar level will reduce to normal level and even medicinal dose will reduce.She should have 53 kg.Eat small amount of food.Eat 5-6 times instead of 3 big meals.No underground vegetables,banana,pumpkin.No excessive fiber in diet.Avoid alcohol,tobacco,tea,coffee,spicy foods.It will help in gastropathy problem.No sugar,sweetened juice,cola,soft drinks,fast foods,junk foods,processed foods.Take lean meat,soy,fish and other protein foods.Along with this take citrus fruits to absorb iron better.Use healthy fat.Drink water more specially before meals.Take stress free sleep.

There is no such thing called home remedy for teeth. Root canal is a proper cleaning of your teeth which includes removing of pulp, nerves, blood vessels along with bacteria. I prefer you to visit a naer by dentist and allow him to fix that. Thankyou.

The main causes of hair loss are stress, hormonal disorders, bad eating habits, diseases, drugs, hair dyes, genetic disorders, smoking and dandruff. So proper treatment is necessary according to symptoms. So please see some ayurveda physician near you personally. Till then you can try these home remedies. 1) start taking 1 amla everyday. 2) Apply paste of trifla, bhringraj & methi seeds on head before washing & wash after 1 hr. 3) Increase the qty of milk & ghee in your diet. 4) Have a good sleep. 5) Go for shirodhara, a panchakarma treatment for reduced stress & better hair growth 6) Reduce the amount of salt & spices in your daily diet 7) wash hair with trifla & neem kadha 8) Make a Hair pack mixing fine powders of triphala 50 gm, nagaramotha 10 gm, methi seeds 40 gm and mehendi or hena (Lowsonia inermis) powder 150 gm in water and apply from the root to the tips of the hair. This pack is kept for about 2 hrs and washed clean. 9) Take 1/3rd cup of aloe vera juice daily 10) Alcoholic drinks have animosity with good hair so you should better avoid it.

1.You may be having anxiety or stress. Avoid stress. 2.You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3.Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4.Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5.Adhere to a specific sleep time and regular schedule 6.Take light dinner. 7.Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. Have a glass of warm milk at bed time .8. Don’t go to sleep immediately after dinner. Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. Read a light magazine or interesting book before going to bed 9. Avoid late night. 10. Don’t sleep in day time 11. Don’t take sleeping pill 12. If no relief consult doctor.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome - Causes Behind it

Irritable bowel syndrome or IBS includes a group of medical symptoms. These include abdominal pain and changes in the pattern of bowel movements. The symptoms mostly continue for a long period of time and are divided into four types depending on diarrhoea or constipation symptoms.

Irritable bowel syndrome causes several negative effects on our health and should be treated as soon as possible. IBS is caused because of various reasons and factors. They are as follows:

  1. Digestive problems: Food is moved through the digestive system with the help of squeezing and relaxation movement of the intestinal muscles in a certain rhythm. In case of IBS, this process is altered and food moves through the digestive system very fast or very slow. When the food moves too fast, diarrhoea is caused as there is not enough time for absorption of water from food. In case of slow food movement, constipation occurs as a result of too much absorption of water. Disorders such as malabsorption of bile acid may also cause IBS in some cases.
  2. Psychological factors: Psychological factors also play a vital role in IBS. When a person is overtly emotional or is suffering from intense stress or anxiety, then these emotions trigger chemical changes in the body which affect the proper functioning of the digestive system. This is not likely in all people who get IBS. People who did not have IBS before, may undergo changes in bowel movements because of immense stress and tension. Many people who have undergone a traumatic experience such as abuse, neglect or a childhood disease can get IBS. These traumatic events or experiences in the past made these people more sensitive to stress, which may result in IBS.
  3. Several triggers of IBS: There are several food items and drinks, which may trigger the symptoms of IBS in a person. These triggers vary from person to person. The most common ones include alcohol, aerated drinks, chocolates, drinks which contain caffeine like coffee or cola, processed snacks such as crackers and biscuits and fried foods, which contain a lot of fat. You should maintain a food diary for identification of triggers that may lead to IBS in your everyday diet. Stress is also an important trigger which may lead to IBS. You should try to find ways to get rid of stress and must avoid over stressing.

Irritable bowel syndrome or IBS results due to several reasons which may be physical or psychological. If you experience symptoms of IBS, you must try to detect or diagnose the reason and then look for proper treatment while consulting with gastroenterologist.

For healthy weight gain & increased stamina, 1. Have small frequent meals at 2-3 hrs intervals containing foods rich in nutrient & calorie density (concentrated food low in volume) like paneer paratha, cheese-potato sandwich, dates-almonds milkshake, peanut chikki, til ladoo, banana kheer, atta halwa/gond ladoo, thicker atta-maida rotis with ghee, rice with ghee, cow/buffalo milk with skim milk powder, homemade cereal malt with milk & sugar, premix with soup, fruit juice, sugarcane juice, dry fruits, soyabean cutlet/roll, fruit lassi, egg curry/omlette/egg scramble/french toast, fatty fish, chicken 2. Drink 3 litres water daily (but not with or just before meal) 3. Avoid junk foods & empty calorie snacks 4. Enjoy meals in a peaceful environment without distractions 5. Eat fast & in bigger utensils 6. Practice strength exercises-bench press, squats, push up, etc daily to increase lean mass only not causing any weight loss. 7. Get a thyroid profile test done to rule out hyperthyroidism.

You can take(If No drug allergy) : 1. Tablet Crocin (Paracetamol 500 mg) one tablet after food when required for headache after food for 2-3 days (maximum 2 tablets with gap of 12 hour can be taken in a day) I am giving you some tips for sound sleep and early awaking in morning follow advises given below: 1. Strict to sleep time schedule 2. Do regular physical activity 3. Regular meditation/ yoga, i can give you address of rajyoga meditation center near your house (this is free of cost) One thing i want to tell you that if you can relax your mind by Rajyoga meditation than you can reduce your sleep upto 5-6 hour and you will feel fresh and active 4. Avoid tea coffee after 7 pm 5. You can wash your face and feet at bedtime 6. Avoid daytime sleep 7. You can use alarm and gradually reduce your waking time by 15 minutes Consult me if symptom persist

You need to plan your meals well cause you have to lose a lot of weight. Eat smaller meals at frequent intervals. Have an early dinner. Avoid long gaps between meals and/or heavy meals. Avoid outside, junk foods. Remember that the body gets used to the routine of diet and/or exercise hence you might plateau and thats when you might need to take professional help. Try to indulge in some form of exercise at least 3-4 times a week.
