My daughter hav a keloid on her chest. Is Surgery is permanent treatment for her. Suggest me best of your view plz.

MBBS, MD - MD- Skin & VD
Dermatologist, Ahmedabad
Hello, here are some treatments for keloid, 1. Cortisone injections (intralesional steroids): these are safe and not very painful, steroid injections can also make the flattened keloid redder by stimulating the formation of more superficial blood vessels. The keloid may look better after treatment, but even the best results leave a mark that looks and feels quite different from the surrounding skin. 2. Surgery: this is risky, because cutting a keloid can trigger the formation of a similar or even larger keloid. 3) laser: the pulsed-dye laser can be effective at flattening keloids and making them look less red. Treatment is safe and not very painful, but several treatment sessions may be required. In my opinion, laser should give you a good result.

Please use Tea tree oil which is excellent for treating acne and pimples. It has antibacterial properties that help fight the bacteria that cause these skin problems. Plus, its soothing properties help reduce the redness and inflammation of pimples. It also helps dry out blackheads and whiteheads. •Just dip a cotton ball in tea tree essential oil and dab it on the affected area. Rinse your face after 15 to 20 minutes.

My hair is falling very badly how can I controlled it. M very upset for this disease.

My hair is falling very badly how can I controlled it. M very upset for this disease.
Hello, I am listing some natural remedies for hair loss problem: ALOE VERA: To reduce pitta and preserve the health of your hair, drink Aloe Vera juice (⅓ cup preferably with a pinch of cumin) 3 times a day for about 3 months. You can also scrape out the gel from an aloe plant with a spoon, and apply to your hair and scalp (and face too). ONION PASTE: Onion paste helps you cleanse your scalp and increases hair growth. You just need to add onions in the mixer and prepare a paste. Apply the paste on your scalp. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse with water. GUAVA LEAVES: Add guava leaves to hot water and boil it for a few minutes till the time the water turns black. Using cotton, apply the solution on your scalp. Repeat this process two to three times in a week. AMLA JUICE: Amla does wonders to the hair and is one of the best cures for baldness. Take equal portions of fresh Amla juice and Lemon juice and apply the mixture on your scalp. Leave it on for 30 minutes and rinse off. COCONUT and ALMOND MILK: Take 5-10 almonds and blend them with appropriate amount of tender coconut malai. Apply this nourishing hair pack to provide Vitamin E and many other nutrients to your hair. HONEY and EGG YOLK: Mix honey and egg yolk together and massage on your scalp for 30 minutes. Egg yolk will help stimulate hair growth. OIL MASSAGE: Massaging the scalp with brahmi oil or bhringaraj oil at bedtime can help to prevent hair loss. In addition to the qualities of the oil, the massage itself will improve circulation at the root of the hair, thus bringing more nutrients to support hair growth.

Is retain-a cream perfect for wrinkles treatment? Is this use for long time on face?

MBBS, DPD-Cardiff (U.K)
Dermatologist, Noida
Is retain-a cream perfect for wrinkles treatment?
Is this use for long time on face?
Ageing process starts early due to several years of unprotected sun exposure over the years. People with fair skin are more prone. A good diet and lifestyle as advised by your dietician or skin doctor should be followed along with religious use of sunscreen and antiageing moisturisers that contain vitamin C, retinol etc, as prescribed by a dermatologist after skin analysis. Anti ageing peels, electroporation with anti-aging products and laser resurfacing give good results in removing the wrinkles, fine lines, sun and age spots and other signs of ageing.

Hello doctor my age 20year old my problem is hair means white hair or hair falls why can you say me.

B.Sc. - Dietitics / Nutrition, Nutrition Certification,Registered Dietitian
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Delhi
Hello doctor my age 20year old my problem is hair means white hair or hair falls why can you say me.
To control hair fall - 1. Use mild shampoo to wash hair (you can make your own shampoo using reetha and shikakai at home) 2. Stop using conditioners. Use natural conditioners like egg, yougurt and lemon. 3. Massage your scalp with a mix of oils like olive, coconut, sesame, castor oil at night. 4. Apply amla juice on hair thrice a week. 5. Use a paste of bhringraj on hair. 6. You can use some good hair packs like - fenugreek and yogurt, egg and green tea. 7. You can rinse your hair with organic apple cider vinegar after washing your hair to maintain ph balance of your hair. 8. Hair health depends on the amount of protein in your diet. Foods like chicken, eggs, fish, nuts, dry fruits gives you the required nutrients to keep your skin and hair healthy. So consume plenty of them. 9. Drink lots of water to flush out toxins from the body.
