Relax! take your wife's pregnancy as a normal physiological phenomenon. You can go to watch movie. Few precautions like she shouldn't be eating outside food, not to carry heavy weights, plenty of fluids, fruits and vegetables, less of oily food.

Excessive Antibiotic Use
Antibiotics have saved many lives over the past 45 years. We are truly fortunate to have them available for serious bacterial infections. Unfortunately, antibiotics are excessively prescribed, especially to children. Overuse of antibiotics can cause devastating health consequences to children.
Antibiotic misuse is most likely to occur in children with ear infections (otitis media). Antibiotic therapy is the most common treatment of ear infections, with amoxicillin being the first choice. The side effects of amoxicillin include upset stomach, diarrhea, allergic reactions, and diaper rashes.
Antibiotics cannot treat infections caused by viruses or fungi. Most common respiratory infections, such as colds, flu, and sinus infections, are caused by viruses. Antibiotics should not be prescribed for viral infections because they are not effective. Giving antibiotics for viruses can't make the patient better - but might cause side effects and even allergic reactions.
Antibiotics may be absolutely necessary in certain situations, such as a life-threatening infection or when serious complications are present. For instance, if your child has symptoms of bacterial meningitis, there is no time to waste. He or she should be taken immediately to a doctor for antibiotics. We are very fortunate to have antibiotics for appropriate situations. However, antibiotics should be used in conjunction with methods that strengthen the immune system, and the depleted beneficial bacteria should always be replaced. Most importantly, the cause of the infection needs to be addressed for true healing to take place.

Hi Lalit, sharp pain in pregnancy is not normal. It could be due to multiple reasons. Please get pelvic ultrasound done to rule out ectopic pregnancy. You should also rule out any focus of infection in body which can create pain. Wish you good luck.

Lybrate-user ji, first of all it is necessary to find out the cause of irregular menses. It may be due to hormonal imbalance, lack of nutritious diet, body weakness or any infective pathology. So first of you need to go for proper investigations including hb, usg whole abdomen. Etc.

Ho. You definitely have a hormonal disturbance most likely pcod. But you need to confirm and start medication for 9 months to one year. You must go for an ultrasound pelvis. You have blood tests on 2 nd day of your periods fsh, lh, prolactin. You must exercise and try to loose weight. Avoid all fatty and maida based items. Pcod is a condition characterised by periods irregularity, mood fluctuations, weight gain, acne, hair growth on face etc.

It depends upon whether you had sex or not if not wait for more time because occasional menstrual disturbance can happen but if you had sex then do a urine test for pregnancy and proceed accordingly

I have a 2.5"thyroid. For last one year I am getting excessively heavy periods with clots and too much pain. In one report two months ago, chronic cervicitis was revealed. I also got urine infection frequently especially post condition.In urine test calcium oxalate was found in little amount. But when I got clinically checked in safdarjung, doctor said my cervix is healthy. I have been advised hysteroscopy and DNC to get rid of this problem. But I don't want hysteroscopy. But heavy periods and pain is troubling me a lot. Please suggest some medicine.

I am a guy and I think I have developed some breast tissues. Cause I feel this ring like tissue around my nipples also there is a slight pain at one spot where, I am not sure, is a lump. Should I be worried?

6 Simple Exercises to Stop Neck Pain Fast

1.Neck Retraction – Bring the head straight back, keeping your eyes forward then return to a neutral position.

2.Head Drop – Tip your head back as far as it can comfortably go pointing your chin toward the ceiling. Return to a neutral position.

3.Side Bend – Reach over the top of your head with your left hand and gently pull your left ear to your left shoulder. Repeat for the right side.

4.Rotation – Turn your head to the left so that your nose is over your shoulder. Return to a neutral position. Repeat on the right side.

5.Flexion – Clasp your hands behind your head and guide the head down – bringing your chin toward your the chest.

6.Shoulder Blade Pull – Bend raised arms at 90 degree angles. Relax your shoulders and squeeze the muscles between the shoulder blades.

A. Kegel Exercises - Cure For Erectile Dysfunction, Urinary incontinence, and Nightfall

What Are Kegel Exercises?

Kegel exercises are easy exercises to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles.

How Do I Find My Pelvic Muscles?

In order to help strengthen you pelvic floor muscles, it is important that you take time to make sure you are exercising the right muscles.

Try to stop and start your urine stream while you are about to urinate . Try to do this two or three times. The muscles you use to stop your urine flow are your pelvic floor muscles.

How Do I Do A Kegel Exercise?

Now that you have located your pelvic floor muscles, you can exercise them even when you do not have to urinate by following these simple steps:

1. Tighten and hold your pelvic floor muscles for five seconds (count 1 one thousand, 2 one thousand, 3 one thousand, 4 one thousand, 5 one thousand).
2. Relax your pelvic muscles.
You have just done one Kegel exercise. You should plan to do 10 to 20 Kegel exercises three to four times each day.

Another way to tighten your pelvic floor muscles is to:

1. Squeeze the muscles in your anus (like you are holding a bowel movement).
2. Relax your pelvic floor muscles after each attempt.
3. Repeat this exercise 10 to 20 times.

When you do your Kegel exercises, remember

  • Do not hold your breath.
  • Do not push down.
  • Squeeze your muscles together tightly and imagine that you are trying to lift this muscle up.
  • Do not tighten the muscles in your stomach, buttocks, or thighs
  • Relax your pelvic floor muscles between each squeeze.

How Often Should I Do Kegel Exercises?

Your goal should be to do 20 Kegel exercise three to four times each day. The great thing about Kegel exercises is that you can do them anytime you want to do them

Kegel exercises can help both men and women. Some men's partners do the exercises with them. The more you do them, the stronger your pelvic floor muscles will become.

It can take six weeks or longer to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles

B. The Push-Ups - Lower yourself Only halfway down while doing push up, do not touch the ground.

Halfway down push-ups are easier to achieve and enable you to do faster reps, which, as well as increasing your sexual strength, will also increase your sexual fitness and stamina. Do sets of 10 or 20 push ups.

C. Rebound Exercise - It is performed on a device known as a rebounder/mini-trampoline. Rebounding for 10 minutes twice a day will do wonders for your Sexual health. It strengthens your pelvic floor, abdominal, hip and upper leg muscles as well as strengthening your lymphatic system.

We all love to eat out. Good food and good company, these are incomparable joys of life. But what about healthy eating? are you supposed to forget all about it, when you're dining out? absolutely not. We tell you how you can eat healthy when eating out. Use these tips to make smart choices, and you can enjoy the occasional splurge, without worrying about the calories.

1. Do not go out on an empty stomach

Have a light, but filling snack before you head out for dinner. An empty stomach may lead to over-eating or bad choices. Have a fruit, maybe an apple, or a low-calorie yoghurt, to keep the hunger pangs at bay.

2. Be informed

Check the menu of the restaurant beforehand. You'll be able to make healthier choices, and have a better idea of what you wish to eat.

Once there, do not hesitate to ask the server or the chef, about the nutritional information of the dish you want to order. Ask them about the method of cooking if you're unsure. Also, a lot of restaurants these days can customize dishes according to the customer's preference. For example, if your dish comes with a side of chips or fries, get it replaced with veggies.

3. Order right

For non-vegetarians, we recommend grilled or kebab meats. Always opt for lean meats. Tandoori items are your best bet, as they are relatively healthier, when compared to fried items or gravy based dishes. For vegetarians, grilled, baked and roasted dishes are recommended.

4. Go for an a la carte meal

Tempting as they might be, avoid buffets. Surveys have shown that buffets encourage over eating. That second or third helping of a dish may seem tempting, but it is never good for your waist line!

5. Drink lots of water

Drink water with your meal. It will keep you full, and is a much better alternative to sugar filled cold drinks. Also, water helps break down the food, so that your body can absorb the nutrients. But occasionally, we don't say no to a glass of wine, along with your meal.

6. Guilt free dessert

There's good news for all those who have a sweet tooth. You can eat the dessert! all you need to know is how to go about it. Dessert does have a lot of calories, but you can skip the main course and just opt for the dessert instead. That way, you will just be consuming the calories from the sweet treat, instead of the main course. So go ahead, have a slice of that delicious red velvet cake for dinner!

7.Diet friendly alcohol

For people who can't have social outings without alcohol, you should make intelligent choices when it comes to booze as these are sheer empty calories. While champagne is the best choice as it has the least no. Of calories, scotch has 105 kcal, vodka has 96 kcal and beer will definitely give you a beer belly. Red wine is good for the heart but has good 125 kcal per serving. Try diluting the drinks with more of sodas or water unlike juices or aerated drinks, as they further add on to the calories.
