Which oil should I consume?

LCPS, BAM&S

Which oil should I consume?
Oil and ghee (Butter oil) have been the soul of Indian cooking for generations. But doctors are advising usage of the same with caution. In fact some nutritionists are insisting for use of olive oil. What is the reality?

Peanut oil, mustard oil, sunflower oil, Safflower oil, soya oil are popular oils used all over India. And Vanaspati Ghee and Desi Ghee are popular choices amongst ghee. Usage of Poly-unsaturated fatty acids used to be deciding factor to choose oil type.

But now it is acknowledged wide over that Saturated Fatty acids are equally important and they increase the good cholesterol level. That means eat any type of oil or ghee. It is good for health. Palm oil or desi ghee was considered bad. But now it is recommended.

Only there is upper limit to quantity. For a 2000 calorie diet, oil/ghee consumption should not be more than 600 calorie.

Then what is bad? It’s trans fat. When oil is reheated again and again, trans fats are formed which are bad for heart.

I short, consume any oil or ghee it is good for health if eaten moderately.

Can People Really Change?

M.Sc - Psychotherapy
Psychologist, Bangalore
Can People Really Change?

You might often consider whether people really change or do they just pretend that they have changed in order to achieve something. You can change only when you truly want to change. You have to want to change yourself for you, not for somebody else. If you want to change just because you need to make certain adjustments for a particular relationship or because someone else wants you to change, then it is going to be useless. The weight of the change will not be the same until and unless it is your desire and determination to change for you.

But this is extremely difficult. You will always feel that you are perfect the way you are. In fact it is likely you would want the people you are associated with to change according to your terms. You would want the other people to change their ways of carrying themselves so that they can fit into your way of life. This usually causes mayhem as it is extremely difficult for anyone to change according to the whims of someone else. The other person usually ends up feeling bad about him/her when you want them to change.

Coming back to the question of whether people really change, well the answer is yes. People do change. Sometimes, may be you change a certain way you behave when you realize that may be you don't like it. There may be a few things about yourself, which you might not like, which you will try to change once you realize it. But changing is not easy. It takes a lot of time to change certain habits or behavior you are so accustomed to. You will not change with a blink of an eyelid. But eventually, when you work hard towards it for your own benefit and to get the sense of perfection within yourself, you will succeed. But there are a few things or aspects about yourself which can never change no matter how much you try. The way you feel about something might not ever change. If you don't like a certain thing you might never like it. Although if your dislike is towards a person, it might change after you get to know that person. It might also be the opposite. Also changing your bad habits will be extremely difficult and you might tend to succumb to the negativity.

Another aspect which you can't change is your past. It is what it is. You can't change it. The best option will be to just get over it if it had anything which didn't have a positive impact on you. The best thing to do with it is to use it as a step towards your future. After all, you would definitely want a bright future.

Chances of pregnancy are very remote if there isn't actual penetration, but you are advised not to experiment with sex organs. Use precaution always, to avoid any embarrassing situation. Goodluck.

Being overweight, using certain medications such as blood thinners and having a hereditary bleeding disorder also put you at a higher risk. There are many possible causes of heavy menstrual bleeding, including hormonal imbalance in the body, fibroids or noncancerous tumors of the uterus, uterine polyps, miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy, use of blood thinners and a side effect of using an intrauterine device (iud) for birth control. Blackstrap molasses is another effective remedy to control heavy bleeding. Being rich in iron, it aids in the production of red blood cells and may help regulate the amount of blood lost during menstruation. In addition, it helps reduce blood clots and soothe the muscles of the uterine walls to reduce pain? add 1 to 2 teaspoons of blackstrap molasses to a cup of warm water or milk. Drink it once daily? another option is to add tablespoon of blackstrap molasses to a glass of lemongrass tea. Drink it once in the morning and once at night before going to bed. Follow either of these remedies for a few months to notice improvement in your condition. 3. Apple cider vinegar you can also try apple cider vinegar to overcome the problem of heavy menstrual flow. It works as a tonic to flush toxins out of your body and maintain hormonal balance. It can even be helpful in treating symptoms like cramping, headaches, irritability and fatigue. 1. Mix 1 to 2 teaspoons of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar in a glass of water. 2. Drink this solution 3 times a day during the menstrual cycle for best results for medicines consult privately.

Hello, there are many reasons for delayed menses, but initially we start by giving you pulsatilla 200 ch, 5 drops, once daily in the morning for 7 days. If menses start in between 7 days then please stop pulsatilla. If menses do not start even after taking this medicine then we will go for investigations.

Dear user. FERTILE PHASE is the phase of a female's menstrual cycle when an egg (ovule) is released from the ovaries. In humans, ovulation occurs about midway through the menstrual cycle, after the follicular phase. The few days surrounding ovulation (from approximately days 10 to 18 of a 28 day cycle), constitute the most fertile phase. So if you have ejaculatory sexual inter course from day 10 from the first day of period and to day 20, the chances of pregnancy are much more. There are many determinants of pregnancy. You should be sexually matured. Your partner should be sexually matured. The period of your partner should be in the fertile stage. Her egg and your sperm cells should healthy enough. Then her uterus should be capable to get conceived. If all these were satisfied, the pregnancy could be a result. Take care.

Hello, If not sexually active during this last cycle then pregnancy is unlikely and the delay is likely to be stress induced.
