Yes you can undergo. Cylindrical number upto 4 can also be corrected. Lasik is a simple laser procedure which changes the shape of the cornea so that the light rays fall on the retina properly. Basically a flap is made on the cornea, the laser is then given to cornea and flap is reposited. It is a painless procedure. It is a day care procedure does not require any injections, does not require admission, you can simply resume your duties in 2 days. Cost varies from centre to centre. Side effects are usually limited to dryness of eyes for few months. We can do lasik anytime after age of 18 years. You need to undergo proper prelasik checkup to decide whether lasik is safe for you or not.

I become angry quickly. I am short tempered. I don't know why I feel bored all the time. I feel that God should destroy this world as adharma is spreading. I am a fan of a celeb and I don't know I really love him or not. This thought disturbs me very much. Whenever I wake up in morning, I can see his face when my eyes are closed. I pray to god that may he be happy. Why this happens to me? I really feel very disturbed due to this feeling. What should I do? Please help me.

This celeb following is common at this age. Be strict with your time and mind to avoid disturbance from your thoughts. From wherever and whenever the mind flickers due to it's unsteady nature one should surely bring the mind back under one's control. So read nice books when mind is idle which can prevent disturbing thoughts. Remember that human life is given to us by Our Supreme for self realization , and every moment is precious. Your feeling that adharma is spreading is very true , this is the age of quarrel and hypocrisy when the pillars of religion like mercy , truthfulness is replaced by lust, anger,,greed and envy. And you are correct , God comes in Kalki avtaar to destroy the demons. But you do your work by spending your precious time in self realization by reading nice books about how to realize the self and do your studies and routine well. Do not waste your time in sense gratification. To know about sources of nice books kindly contact me

Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
I am a registered dietitian and doctor who will help you in losing your weight. Let me know your food intake details. The best diet is one which is healthy and well balanced with foods from all the food groups, and one which is varied and that you can stick to weight loss on some diets can be dramatic in the short term, but there's more of a chance of rebound weight gain. Set yourself a realistic target and aim to lose between (0.5-1.0kg) a week I being a registered dietitian strongly accommodate the patients own preferences without the patient feeling that they are on a diet not compromising the weight management goals. Don't fall for self dieting or fad diets availiable online they have harmful effects in the long run, if you lose a lot of weight very quickly, you may not lose as much fat as you would with a more modest rate of weight loss. Instead, you might lose water weight or even lean muscle tissue, since it's hard to burn that many fat calories in a short period. I will need to carry out detailed assessment in your case, after assessing your personal challenges to weight loss, I will recommend a strategy to gradually change habits and attitudes that have sabotaged your past efforts. Reply back for private consultation for a holistic dietary therapy which includes diet, simple workouts and few medications.

Hello lybrate-user. Irritation of the eyes has multiple causes associated with it. To enumerate a few common causes: (1) allergy of the eye. It is usually caused by improper eye hygiene. There is a tendency to rub the eyes with fingers, handkerchief, cloth, etc. This is not a good habit because it tends to transmit lots of virus, bacteria and dust into the eye. Allergy usually presents with symptoms of watering (clear water), redness and itching of the eye. (2) infectious conjunctivitis: this is usually associated with white-yellowish discharge. If so, it would be a good idea to go and show to an eye specialist in person. (3) foreign body lodged in the eye. This is more commonly associated with people who drive 2 wheeler vehicles without protection. It occurs more commonly in one eye. Foreign bodies that commonly get lodged are eyelashes, insect wings, small insects, dust particles, iron particles (more common with people working in the iron industry) the solution for a foreign body lodged in the eye would be better provided by an eye specialist at the clinic. (4) raised intraocular pressure: this is a condition known as glaucoma. It is not so common as the previous mentioned conditions. There is usually associated pain in the eyes. It is commonly bilateral (occurs in both eyes). There is usually a positive family history of glaucoma associated in a majority of the cases. (5) inflammation of the coats of the eyeball. This is known as" uveitis" it is also a relatively less common condition. There is associated pain. It would require a thorough eye checkup including the retina-thus a good idea would be to visit the eye specialist in person. From the symptoms described by you, it seems more likely to be a case of allergy. Maintaining the precautions and hygiene that I mentioned should probably work well for you. You could also use a lubricant eye drop along with an anti-histamine eye drop. (3-4 times daily) hope my suggestions helped you.

I have pain in my eyes every time when I use to do study so what should I do for that.

I have pain in my eyes every time when I use to do study so what should I do for that.
Hello, Include the following for getting better vision: Vitamins A, C, E, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Get the antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Include garlic and onions. Blueberries, grapes as they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. DHA is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like salmon, sardines and mackerel. Exercises for eyes: Warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. Roll your eyes. Start by looking up and then slowly circle 10 times clockwise and 10 times counterclockwise. Focus. Hold a pen at arm's length, focus your eyes on it, and slowly bring the pen closer until it's about 6 inches away from your nose. Then slowly move it back, keeping your eyes focused on the pen, 10 times in all. Massage your temples. Using your thumb knuckles, massage your temples in small circles, 20 times in one direction and 20 in the other. Repeat the same actions above the mid-point of the eyebrows at the forehead, then below the eyes on both sides of the bridge of the nose. Take a mini-nap. Put your head back, close your eyes, and relax for 3 minutes. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids. Get your eyes tested from an Opthalmologist. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine which will help you in preventing first and reducing the power of your eyes. Take Physostigma 6/ thrice daily for 1 month. Thereafter, revert back for further guidance.

This condition is called Eye strain, or asthenopia,in which the eyes get tired from excessive or intense use. It can be annoying, but it tends to disappear with rest. Although it’s not often a serious condition, eye strain could be a symptom of an underlying problem. Eye strain is known to cause fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and headaches Eye strain may lead to other problems, such as: • Headaches • Difficulty Concentrating • Irritability • Burning Sensation • Watery Eyes • Dry Eyes • Photophobia • Eye Pain If you work on a computer, taking eye breaks for five minutes every hour can lessen the strain on your eyes. Simply closing your eyes for a few moments can also do wonders. Try standing up, moving around, or taking a short walk to help regain concentration.Regular eye exercises that involve focusing on different distances can help prevent future straining. Blink often. Blinking refreshes and replenishes your eyes naturally. If you are having trouble with blinking due to the dryness of your eyes, try using Homoeopathic CINELUBE EYEDROPS ( HAPDCO) 3 times daily.

Dear Doctor, As per the latest blood test report, my Triglycerides, and HDL were very high. I was advised by a medico in Unani medicine to stop eating cashews, eggs, and mutton. But, after reading your article, I am confused. Could you please advice whether I should continue eating cashews or stop it?

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
Dear Doctor, As per the latest blood test report, my Triglycerides, and HDL were very high. I was advised by a medico...
Triglycerides are total fats in blood which includes both hood fats and bad fats. Our body is like an engine which needs good fats to run properly and you are lucky to have good fats in high amounts though you have not written about reports of lipid profile that includes both bad and good fats. You can continue to eat cashews as some amount of these nuts give good fats, proteins and are antidepressants too. I can't comment on intake of animal fats before looking at total lipid profile but you can take in little amounts of steamed varieties of non veg food, not the fried ones. You can eat eggs also, one a day, boiled variety. Do eat lots of seasonal vegetables and fruits, besides giving vitamins and minerals. These work like cotton that absorb the bad fats in food pipe. Take pudding first and an apple or salad later.
