Hi my baby 1 month old. Due to my age I think I am not generating enough milk. How can I increase my milk generation. What can I eat. Any medication.

Hi my baby 1 month old. Due to my age I think I am not generating enough milk. How can I increase my milk generation....
There are actually no medications to increase milk. And milk generation is not related to age. The more the baby suckles, the more milk the breasts produce. Try to put the baby to breast more often. Using a breast pump to stimulate breasts would also help. But remember, each time you give formula feed to your baby, your milk production goes down.

No supplements are required if the baby is on breastfeed. Make sure the baby burps between a feed and there shouldn't be the need for digestives.

Please pump every two hours to leave as much milk as possible. The baby feeds according to his/her appetite, and the quantity of milk can be anywhere between 60-90 ml per feed.

Lets hope there are no problems in future. For now, I hope you are pumping breastmilk for feeding your baby to be fed in the ICU. That would be the best food and best medicine your baby can get to develop a strong immunity for future.

I have an eight month old baby boy he has suddenlystopped taking bottle feed he starts crying wen I offer him bottle milk as in formula milk but he is properly taking breast milk and other food too What could be the reason behind it?

Please do not force your baby to take the bottle if he is taking breastmilk without any problems. You might want to include milk in his food preparations so you may give him milk, but if you are continuing breastfeeding, that's all he requires as far as milk is concerned. Some kids become averse to the smell of plastic, so do not worry too much for this.

Hi I would like to know when can a mother start having curd or lime after baby is born? After how many days?

Hi I would like to know when can a mother start having curd or lime after baby is born? After how many days?
A mother can eat whatever she wants right after delivery. What she eats affects her health and nutrition, and not breastmilk. But make sure that the other eats a variety of fresh fruits and a balanced nutritious meal, with plenty of fluids throughout the day. Curd or lime can be had anytime.

My six month daughter does not digest any thing except mother milk. Every time she vomit whenever I give dal.

Complementary foods should be gradually introduced once the baby turns six months old. It is a new experience for babies to swallow solid food when they have only had milk to suckle on till now. Try introducing solids gradually. The foods should be of a soft, thick consistency. And give time to the baby to get used to one taste before introducing a new taste.

Babies need complementary solid foods along with breastmilk after the age of six months. You can start by including curd, fruits like banana, mashed papaya, veggies like mashed potatoes. The food that you give to your baby should preferably be home cooked and should have a thick, soft consistency.
