Diet plan for weight gain In the present, where countless people are trying to lose their weight, there also many people who are underweight, and trying to gain some weight. While, being thin is something that, an over weighted person is dreaming about, it is not such as enjoyable feeling to be skinny for a thing person. At the same time, being too thin can also lead to many kinds of health-associated problems. Therefore, it is extremely essential to put on some weight. If, you also an underweight person and trying to gain some weight then, a healthy diet plan can help in this regard a lot. However, the fast foods and sweets can increase the weight; also accumulate fats in body, which are not healthy. Thus, it is necessary to follow a healthy diet plan that is healthy and nutritious. In order to gain weight, it is necessary to eat more than normal. The diet should be high in calories and proteins. High proteins intake is necessary for muscles weight. You should not stop or minimize the intake of carbohydrates and fats at any condition. At the same time, you must remember that all these foods are excellent sources of energy, which is essential for the body to function. Moreover, you should break your three meals into five or six sections. For instance, you can add 3 or 4 snacks with your three heavy meals. Here is a list of some high calorie foods that can help in gaining some weight. Vegetables – Vegetables are high in nutritious and should be included in every diet for all meals. You should consume all kinds of vegetables especially, starchy vegetables such as carrots, corn, potatoes, winter squash, pea and many more. Fruits – Fruits also contain many kinds of nutrition, vitamin, minerals and calories. In order to gain weight, it is necessary to comprise the high calorie fruits such as apple, pineapple, banana, pear and dried fruits as snacks between your meals. Cereals – Cereals such as nuts, granola, oat bran, wheat bran can also help in gaining weight. Therefore, you should add them in your diet. You can also add some fruits, nuts and take them by mixing with low fat milk. Beverages – You should also include some fruit juices, soft drinks, fruit smoothies, and low fat milk in your daily diet to gain weight. Moreover, drinking adequate amount of water in a day is necessary to detoxify your body properly. Consumption of drinks like tea, coffee and alcohol should also stop or minimize. Together with above foods and eatables, you should also try to have different types of soups, salads, dairy products like eggs, cheese, and butter. Eating more than normal is not enough to gain weight, it is also necessary to do some physical activities. So, you should also exercise on regular basis. It considered that, gaining weight is easier as comparing to losing. However, gaining healthy weight can be a difficult task than just gaining weight. So follow a healthy diet, exercise regularly, and put on some healthy weight.

I am 22years old male I am very thin from childhood I eat food on time even though I am very thin. So what should I do doctor?

You need a high protein high calorie diet. Eat more protein food. Eat nuts and good fats. Eat fit & lite oil of doctor's choice 20-25 ml/day. Eat ghee, butter, paneer, milk product, cheese, chocolates. You need to do exercise. Eat various nuts/ day 2-3 no. Eat oats, sattu, ragi. And complex carbohydrate. You need to take soya seed. You may drink supplement.

People who eat potato chips and French fries tend to gain weight faster. Make French fries using extra virgin oil, if you like them. Moreover, you can also make a delicious potato salad. Hello sir my one side (right) side hand elbow joint do not have any muscle its too thin. Palm also. May hand is too weak for any work. Unable o carry even 2 kg of weight. What is the solution.

Hello, I am 22 years old. I do exercise daily. I go to gym and running every alternate day. I take ashwagandha and gokshura tablets for muscle strength. I also take multivitamin and fish oil supplements after lunch. So doctor is it good to take these many supplements at this age and if not then which supplements can I continue and which ones do I discard. thank you.

Hi, food is the best medicine. Why take supplements when you can eat a well balanced meal? Your 22. You'll be fine without supplements. Try staying away from processed foods- the pizzas, burgers, sodas, energy drinks, canned foods, processed meats- to name a few.

Hi…1) take 200 ml of fresh buttermilk after meals, 2) eat 30-40 black currants and 1 tsf of jaggery during meals, 3) take 30 ml of juice of indian gooseberry along with 15 ml of honey in morning on empty stomach, 4) take 1 tsf of lavanbhaskar churna after meals, gives you good result, THANKS.

The first thing you need to understand is that when you gain weight you’re either gaining muscle or you’re gaining fat. So the healthiest way to gain weight is by putting on lean muscle, which means while you’re going to be eating more, you need to be conscious of what you’re eating. Take foods high in protein, fat, and carbs (carbs on days you’re working out) and trying to stay away from foods high in sugar, especially added sugar. This being because a lot of the sugar we eat gets metabolized into fat, and high-blood sugar levels have been linked to metabolic syndrome, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, memory loss, and even premature aging. Hello sir, I'm 20 years old boy. My height is 6feet and I'm seriously underweight. My weight is 50 kg only and I want to gain extra 10 kg weight. My goal is for 60 kg weight. Sir, I'm unable to take or bye every protein foods. I'm thinking to use protein shakes available in market. So would you recommend me to use protein shake. Which one you recommend me. Protein supplements will not give you the desired results if you do not follow a good and healthy diet. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. c. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. d. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain.

Your description of ailment is not very clear. Any way take caldikind plus (mankind) 1tab odx10days paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days do exercises. It may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

I suggest you easy method of weight gain just follow it for year you will gain weigh defiantly 1. Start exercise regularly for 3 month and then after 3 month leave it for 3 month at the time of exercise your diet will increase but same diet continue after 3 month when you stop exercise so thats why your weight will increase automatically now we discus about diet 2. Take dates with milk in the morning breakfast 3. Triphala kadha 4 tsp beore lunch and dinner 4. Amala juice 4 tsp + 2tsp sugar + 2tsp honey in the morning empty stomach this take for 1.5 month only your weight gain will take definitely note=avoid over eating.

As of now for headache you can take tablet paracetamol. But we will have to make a diagnosis to get to the cause of it which can be either due to frontal sinusitis or due to migrane or due to refractive error of the eyes or due to other causes for which we have to investigate. If you want medicine than, I will prescibe.

Miss lybrate-user the knee pain of your mother is due to osteo-arthritis. Its a degenerative disease of bone. Typically effecting weight bearing joints. Maintain proper diet of your mother includes milk daily, and fruits. Advise to do walk daily apply medicated oil, do light massage and hot fomentation. If she is over weight, try to reduce it with diet restriction. Make sure her bowel clearance is ok. Constipation and gaseous distention increase the pain. Medicine are required for proper managment. Hi - first you make some fat by putting carbohydrate sources foods like rice, chapati etc. Add butter & ghee as necessary. You v to over all increase your calorie by good quality high calorie bfoods through cereals, pulses, legumes & obviously high quality protien like egg, fish, chicken etc. Vegetables, fruits can help y always. After some weight gain you can come to me for muscles.

Hye. Thanks for the query. Summer can not only dehydrate you but also draw you off of energy and stamina, making you feel unwell and feeling low. A healthy and balanced diet is essential, especially in the summer. The summer heat deprives our body of all the energy. Excessive perspiration in summer results in dehydration. Rehydration is essential irrespective of the activity levels and thirst pangs. Liquids at very cold temperatures should be avoided. Increased consumption of very cold liquids, results in the constriction of the blood vessels. This in turn reduces the loss of heat which is essential in summers. Holy basil seeds/ tulsi seeds added to water or fruit juices proves an effective cooling drink for the summers. Soft drinks contain added sugar, preservatives and colors. Therefore fresh fruit juices without added sugar are preferred in summers. Fried foods, such as french fries, potato patties, chips, samosa, wada pav should be restricted thereby reducing the thermal effect of fat. A light and healthy meal will make you feel comfortable. Avoid very spicy foods. Whole fresh fruits supply a good amount of water, in addition to minerals and vitamins. A bountiful supply of vegetables and fresh fruits are beneficial. Lemon juice, barley water, butter milk and tender coconut water are the best sources of hydration.

I am 20 years old and my health is quite slim so I want to grow some fats on my body so please help me out.

Dear lybrate user, increasing weight does not mean that you will go fatty. In fact, extra fat serves as a precursor of many diseases. In order to increase your weight as well as stay healthy you have to increase the muscle mass of your body. Normally a muscle undergoes an increase in size when it gets hypertrophied due to weight training. Weight-training leads to the pumping of blood to the muscle resulting in increased protein synthesis in the muscles. This applies to every muscles of human body. So, weight training is a must to increase weight. Whenever a muscle gets hypertrophied it demands protein to expand. Here comes the need of protein supplement. The most effective protein supplement is whey protein. But kindly remember only taking supplement is not enough. You need to take those supplements according to a fixed schedule. For quicker & better results take 40 grams of whey just after waking from sleep at morning. Take another 20 grams of whey just 30 minutes before workout. Again take 40 grams of whey just after you have finished your workout. Kindly remember gaining weight is a time -taking process. So do not expect any result within fortnight.
