Hello, bleeding gums could be because of deposits on teeth surface or food lodged in between teeth. Visit a dentist and get your DEEP scaling and polishing done. Brush your teeth twice daily, night brushing is very important. Floss regularly. Rinse after every meal. Visit dentist every 6 months.

If you hav developed pain in that rct treated tooth then you hav to visit a dentist, do xray of that tooth. If everything comes fine, then only immediately go for capping. If the treated tooth comes problematic, then go for retreatment or extraction followed by capping or implant.

I have a swollen gum above the wisdom tooth, its very painful, applied gum care lotion, can you suggest some antibiotic.

I have a swollen gum above the wisdom tooth, its very painful, applied gum care lotion, can you suggest some antibiotic.
it is called as pericoronitis. . if swelling is not there in jaw or cheek ,treat it by rinsing your mouth with warm salt water. You should also make sure that the gum flap has no food trapped under it. If the pain and inflammation are severe, or if the pericoronitis recurs, oral surgery to have the gum flap or wisdom tooth removed may be necessary.

I had my braces takes off 1 year ago and now I feels that my teeth are shifting back to its old position so anything needful to be done in regards of this. Thanks.

Whenever anyone undergoes orthodontic treatment (braces), the teeth are shifted from their position to a new position. In doing so, the teeth undergoes remodelling in the bone. It takes a lot of time to complete. Till the remodeling process is over, your teeth will still be loose in their socket and will have a tendency to move. After your braces treatment, the orthodontist gives you a retainer which keeps your teeth in the corrected position. You should be having a fixed retainer behind your teeth which is supposed to be permanently there. Also, removable retainers for night time wear. If you are not using those or you don't have them, ask your orthodontist for it. Otherwise, your treatment will relapse and your teeth will shift back to its old position or may be worse.

Hi lybrate-user you are doing a very good thing. I suggest brush twice and floss once. Use an ultra soft toothbrush and a good quality toothpaste. Don't apply too much pressure on your teeth, brushing time should be around 2 minutes.

Can't open my mouth completely due to wisdom teeth on uper left side. It's painful.

Can't open my mouth completely due to wisdom teeth on uper left side. It's painful.
Advice mouth opening exercises. Need more investigations (Full mouth x-ray) with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. Adv. medication, cleaning, root canal treatment or surgical removal procedures for the gum mucosa above the tooth or the tooth itself. Until then apply clove oil. Rinse frequently with mouth wash.

Dear Sir/Madam, My teeth are light yellow in color since 10 years what should i do to make it as white color ?

BDS
Dentist, Kanchipuram
Hi, The color of the teeth varies from person to another person.Like skin color the teeth color varies.Like the various shades of brown skin, there are various shades of white teeth. So we have to diagnose whether your problem is due to external conditions like calculus & stains or due to internal(birth defects or flourosis). So visit a dentist immediately he will diagnose the condition. If it is external a simple scaling and polishing makes your teeth brighter. So dont worry.Have a bright smile as soon as possible.
