Dentist, Vadodara
This is called plaque. It accumulates when you don't clean your mouth after eating or drinking anything. Go for professional scaling and polishing of teeth. Than maintain it by brushing twice daily. Forcefully gargle with water after you eat or drink anything.

Eat lot of fruits & green leafy vegetables & drink plenty of water. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need coronoplasty (smoothen teeth edges) along with t. Rebagen 10, morning one tab & one at night for 5 days, c. Becosules 5 cap, for five days in the morning after meals. Hexigel ointment on the area of ulcer. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Consumption of counter pain relievers is advisable. A pain killer which reduces inflammation is highly recommendable. Some common ones are ibuprofen and aspirin.

Get your teeth x-rayed to determine whether there is enough space for the wisdom teeth to grow. If the space is not enough, you might require to get the teeth removed.

BDS

everyone doesn't have pearl white teeth. your teeth color matches your skin colour. you can go for scaling and polishing followed by bleaching for more whiter teeth. for back pain, consult a physiotherapist. sit in correct postures. avoid sitting in a single position for a longer time. try out some stretching exercises for back n neck.

On upper left side on last side I have extra teeth. I was touching it with tongue and was cleaning there with finger. But from three days I have little bit pain there in muscle. I am confused is it muscle pain irritation there or tooth pain but its not too much. When I am touching outside mouth near zygomatic facial muscle it pains inside upside the extra tooth. When I chew something it irritates that part there. Tell me what is this please.

BDS
Dentist, Pune
Hello It is advisable that you kindly visit your nearby dentist ASAP to get a proper clinical examination done so that exact cause of pain may be determined. Pain you are experiencing may be due to many reasons; caries in that extra tooth you are describing, that extra tooth putting pressure on some nerve are to name some. The dentist may also advise you to go for some x-rays, which will help in diagnosing the actual reason of pain and further eliminating that reason. Kindly follow the advice and put an end to your sufferings.

Hi lybrate-user there could be several reasons for the decreased mouth opening that your brother is suffering from. The best thing for him to do is to see a dentist or an oral surgeon for a diagnosis of the cause, so that appropriate treatment could be instituted.

Why People Avoid Dental Care Treatments?

Dental Health is important.

Although, most of us enjoy a healthy oral condition that's because we have been taught by parents and school teachers that we should keep our teeth clean. The School might have arranged dental health seminars and taught how to brush, what to do with your teeth, and how to keep them healthy.

That's how we are going to teach our generation. It's a process.

What Dentists Need to Do?

Dentists are experts in oral health care and management. Not only they treat the dental patients, but also make people aware how to avoid the dental issues. Dentist's responsibilities include:

Diagnosing the oral diseases and problems.

Spreading the awareness on oral health.

Providing the solutions for dental health issues.

Making and implementing the dental health plans for patients.

Make necessary assessment arrangements such as dental x-ray to start treatment.

Guiding the patients during and after the treatment.

Showing case studies of past experiences to aware patients and other people.

5 Reasons Why People Avoid Dental Treatment

Following are the reasons why people normally avoid their dental treatments in the first place:

1. They have busy Schedules

People have busy schedules. We all have jobs to do. That's one of the reasons most people delay or avoid their dental treatments because they think they don't have time after their job hours. Keeping that in mind, we shouldn't avoid our dental treatment.

2. They don't want lengthy Procedures

Admit it. Dental procedures are lengthy and time-consuming. It might take 3 to 4 months if you have a major oral disease or dental treatment. Haven't you heard from people that they have kept the braces on for next six months as per dentist's advice?

3. They Feel no Pain

If there is no pain, there is no problem. Some people think that way!

It's fair. You might be noticing the symptoms of a dental problem while having ice cream or drinking coffee. If you feel something is wrong with your teeth, you better consult with a dentist before something goes really bad and gets worse.

4. They don't want dental treatment pain

Pain is one of the treatment avoiding factors. Especially women and children don't want to have dental treatment pain. Delaying or avoiding the dental checkup or surgery due to the fear of pain isn't the right thing to do.

5. They don't consider it as Important

People who think it's not really important to get dental treatments should read the American Dental Association's views on Dental Care. Once they read that, they will find out that scientific studies have shown the association of dental issues with other diseases including diabetes and heart problems.

I had braces on my teeth because my upper teeth were a bit big and looked bad and I removed the braces but I still have some gap in my teeth's, what should I do? Will I have to put the braces again?

MDS - Orthodontics, BDS
Dentist, Howrah
After removing your braces, your orthodontist would have given you retainers to wear. You need to wear them regularly. Since your spaces are already opening up you can get your retainers checked and tightened/ adjusted by your orthodontist and continue wearing them regularly 24*7 for at least 6 months and then continue with night time wear later on.
