Hello everyone! I am Dr. Prachi Goel Senior Homeopathic consultant & a Nutritionist at Dr. Goel’s Care Clinic.

Today we will discuss one of the most common adulthood ailment we are facing in India & worldwide today and we call it Hyperlipidemia. Hyperlipidemia is nothing but high cholesterol high fats or high triglycerides in the blood. So what is cholesterol & triglycerides? They are fat proteins present in blood which can be HDL LDL Cholesterol triglycerides as we listen regularly in our daily lives. Around 35% of Indian population is suffering from Hyperlipidemia. Which can be high levels of cholesterol or any type of cholesterol and fat proteins in blood. It is a raising disease where patient is not complaining of any symptoms he is not having any problem but yes he is very high risk of heart diseases and developing stroke angina heart attacks in future. So we have to act immediately.

Lets start what are the causes of Hyperlipidemia. Hyperlipidemia have many causes we classify them as primary causes or secondary causes. Primary causes the first thing is genetic predisposition where the parents grandparents having this problem or had a very poor lifestyle having high saturated fats obesity & different problems which have made changes in their genes and hence people today we are today are prone to have this problem. And if today we have unhealthy lifestyle high fats in our diet & poor exercises we are making changes in our genes and making our future generations prone to this problem. Another primary cause is cigarette smoking, tobacco chewing which directly increases the level of cholesterol in blood. Obesity motappa poor diet poor diet includes a diet high in saturated fats and diet poor in fats and other essential components which should be there in our diet.

Poor lifestyle sedentary habits purey din office mein baithna exercise bilkul nahi karna pura din ghar pe baithna that adds on the sedentary habits. Then there are secondary causes which includes diabetes mellitus diabetes sugar ki jo problem hoti hai hypothyroidism thyroid ailments are very common causes of high cholesterol in females which hence cause other hormonal problem. Kidney diseases & liver diseases they destroy our metabolism and creates high cholesterol and then many medicines. Medicines has an important sideeffect and increasing the level of cholesterol in our blood and which includes beta blockers. Beta blockers are the most common medicines which we use to treat high blood pressure and hence they increase cholesterol and fats in our blood. Immuno suppresents which we commonly use for skin & kidney & liver diseases they increase cholesterol levels in our blood.

Anti depressents which many patients take it either over the counter or from the doctor and yes it increases the cholesterol levels and then other steroids which we very commonly use for skin ailments and LDA ailment or for that matter which increases and make the patient prone to have this problem. And then one of the important cause is improper lifestyle high percentage of fat in body and hence high number of percentage of fat in the blood. Now we have to discuss how to manage this. Management with any medicines. Homeopathy Allopathy Ayurveda any medicines will not help you unless & until we add on lifestyle changes necessary to decrease and control the cholesterol level in blood. In homeopathy we have many medicines like Adonis, Cholesterinum , Feltori, Nagswamika, Illum Sativa. Many medicines we have but we prefer to use the constitutional treatment where we fix the metabolic disorder which have caused the increase levels of cholesterol which have increased the cholesterol level in the blood & hence cure the patient. But here of course we talk about holistic treatment and what is holistic treatment.

In holistic treatment, we will fix the diet. The diet is the main cause which has caused this problem. We will fix the lifestyle the improper habits which have caused this problem and obviously we will add medicines who speeden up the results. And to cure it for good it is not like ki once the levels are normal & they will increase again but yes we will make sure that you follow a healthy lifestyle so as to heal you & cure you forever. So what are the dietary changes which we require. First is weight loss if your BMI is more than 23 kilogram per metre square you have to decrease your weight and get into the normal range and hence you can have a healthy lifestyle. And what are the things which will help you. First we have to control the carbohydrates not more than 50% of the diet should be carbohydrates and we have to focus on low glycemic carbohydrates and which include whole wheat whole cereals yani chhilke ke sath wali cheesey.

Fruits vegetables jinka chhilka unke sath hai, green vegetables jo hum as it is use karte hain those are very good. Jo daley hain, chhilke wali daley whole pulses whole grains are the things which have low glycemic index. Unpolished rice white rice is not bad but yes we polished rice is bad. You can use brown rice red rice but unpolished rice is good in vitamins also and have low glycemic index low glycemic index means wo hamare blood mein dheere dheere jata hain dheere dheere energy provide karta hain and it is good for diabetics also and people with high cholesterol also. Not more than 50% of our diets should have carbohydrates then we talk about fats. Not more than 10% the total fat content should not be not more than 10% of our diet and no saturated fats. Saturated fats yani ghee makhhan jo Jamey huye hotey hain at room temperature we should avoid them. And we should prefer poly unsaturated fats. Poly unsaturated fats seed oils fish oils nuts dry fruits ke andar jo oils hota hain oysters like you say sea food is very good for every thing so we should prefer those.

And people who are vegetarians they should prefer the nut oils. Mustard oil is one of the very good oil, groundnut oilis one of the very good oil, olive oil, castor oil, jo nuts or seeds se oils nikle huye hain those are healthier options but yes we have to decrease the content. Now after carbohydrates lets talk about fibre. What is fibre? Resha jo hamare diet mein hota hain is one of the most important ingredient. It prevents us from cancer it helps in our regular bowel movements and it saves us from high cholesterol diabetes & many things. So fibre content you have to increase till about 40 grams per day aap aramse le sakte hain aur kahan se hamey yeh fibre milega wohi again whole fruits chhilke wali fruits khao ache se dhoke, whole vegetables hum isabgul le sakte hain hum bran le sakte hain jo hamare gehun ka chhilka hota hain wo, to chhilke ka samet jo jo chisey hum lenge wo hamare fibre content mein add hoyega.

Now next we talk about proteins. Proteins we can increase our content fairly take 1gm per kg body weight means aap ka job hi weight hain suppose aapka weight 80kg hain to aap 80 gm protein roz ka aram se kha sakte hain aram se digest kar sakte hain aur proteins ke liye obviously non vegetarians egg fish meat wagera prefer karoge and for vegetarians hum daley soya soya milk milk yeh hum sari cheesey add karengey proteins ke liye and they will help to fix our fat metabolism and other metabolism of our body & help to reduce the cholesterol levels. Next is salt. Salt yes we do not count salt as an ingredient in our diet as a content of our diet but but yes it is a very important but we have to restrict it to less than 5gms per day. Ek chamachh mein approximately 5 se 10 gm salt ata hain agar hum ek chamachh namak lete hain to humey pura din us ek chamachh se jyada nahi lena hain. 5gm se kam se kam salt lena hain because salt also later on causes high blood pressure high cholesterol everything.

We have to restrict the sugar content of our diet sugar refined sugar chini jo hum kahate hain sahed gur ye sab sugar ka content mein ata hain. We have to limit them we should avoid juices cold drinks aereated drinks are useless are poisonous for everyone of us. We should avoid them instead you can have healthier options you can have coconut water chhachh aap le sakte hain low fat milk le sakte hain and water one of the best drinks we should have at least 10 to 15 glasses of water per day to eliminate toxins from our body. And next we come onto the most important part that is physical activity. We have to increase our physical activity which will help to burn the excess fat in our body which will help to improve the metabolism in our body.

For anyone more than 60 minutes of physical activity is necessary. Vigorous exercises that means which include aerobics running jogging proper strenuous gyming and strenuous exercises 60 minutes a day at least 60 minutes aur agar aap moderate form of exercises kar rahen hain to you can have 150 minutes a day you can target that will help you to heal to avoid all the diseases and to treat the hyperlipidemia high cholesterol high fat levels in your blood. You can add yoga which will help you distress and it is one of the Indian & native form of exercises which is very good for everyone. So here Dr Prachi signing off and wish you all a very good health and good life ahead and I wish you will make those changes today to save you and your future generations. Thank you!

Hello Everyone!

I am Dr. Prachi Goel, MD Homeopathy and a nutritionist, homeopathy consultant at Dr. Goel Care Solution. I am practicing from last 10 years. And today will discuss some common childhood ailments. Children ailments which will encounter commonly at our clinic. So, what are common children ailments? The most commonly, jo bhi parents lekar aate hain apne bacho ko, most common among them is khasi-jukam. Common cough and cold jo ke hum bolte hain. So, what are causes of common cough and cold. First is acute cough and cold, jiska cause hota hai change of whether. Khane peene ki galtiyan. And second is chronic cough and cold. Chronic hum kab bolte hain usko jab koi bhi problem bar bar ho rhi ho. Pichle 6 mahine me, saal me vhi problem thode thode gap me bacha bar bar face kar rha ho. Ya fir vhi problem chalti aa rha ho. Khasi chal rhi hai pichle 2 mahine se, aram nhi aa rha. Jukam chal rha hai pichle 3 mahine se, aram nhi aa rha. Tab hum unko lebel krte hain chronic cough and cold. Now what are the causes of chronic cough and cold. The most common cause are adenoids, tonsillitis, bronchitis, asthma, pneumonia etc.

So, what we hear these days adenoids and tonsils. What are these? Adenoids and tonsils are nothing but protective lymph and tissues present at our upper respiratory tract. Yes, they are protective. They help our immune system. And what are their role? Ye prevent krte hain infection ko lower respiratory tract me jane se. Adenoids and tonsils swell and trapped the infection in upper respiratory tract and they protect our lungs and chest from the severe infections like asthma, pneumonia and bronchitis. It is normal practice nowadays ki bache ko adenoids hai, tonsils hai so please get the surgery and removed. We at Goel Homeopathy, we condemned that this is the wrong practice. We prefer to treat it with compete constitutional homeopathy medicines, which takes care of the child personality. His inbound disorder, his inbound tendency which are causing these problems.

The main route cause which goes down is the low immunity and the allergic reaction. So, we here, advice not to go for surgery. And get your child treated for these problems. What is the other cause of cough and cold. They can be allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, bronchitis. So what to look after. First you have to be very careful. You have to be observant. Ki bache ko baar baar to nhi ho rha problem. Khasi ho rha hi jukam ho rha hai. You please give your child a proper rest during the symptom. Give him the plenty of fluids. Garm pani ke garare, steam. Adenoid me maximum bache ki nak band ho rhi hai, muh se saans leni pad rhi hai. Khane peene me dikkat aa rhi hai. Tonsil me mostly complaint aati hai, galle me dard ho rha hai, khasi, bukhar, sir dard. Rhinitis is the problem jhan pe bhut jldi jldi chiken aati hai kisi bhi vjha se, dust ki vjha se, dhoop ki vjha se, temperature difference ki vjha se. Bhut common hai ye proble March, April, May ke season me. Hay fever bhi bolte hain hum is chiz ko. Sinusitis me hmare sare sinus me dard ho rha hai. Mucus bhar gya hai jiski vjha se khasi, jukam ho rha hai. Bronchitis ki vjha se khasi ho rhi hai. So please be careful of these symptoms when you see and get them treated properly. Uske baad hum aaj kal ke disease pe aa rhen hai. Those are behavioural diseases. Behavioural disorder and eating disorder. So, what are these. ADHD anger disorder, depression, obesity, bhut jyada khana, bhut kam khana, dullness, poor performance and the most important is gadget dependency.

Jhan par bache ko har time phone, TV, laptops, computers chaiye for any certain reason which is more than unnecessary addiction to the gadgets. We treat these cases with proper counselling of the parents, of the child and the best of the medicines which help to boost their personality, confidence and to improve their results. Next, we come on to bed-wetting and worm infestation joki bhut common hai. We in homeopathy, have beautiful medicines and miraculous results in these cases. Bed-wetting is what. Involuntary urination of a child who is above 5 years. Agar bacha 5 saal se chota hai, please wait. Train him or her. He will eventually surpass this. But agar 5 saal se bade bache me bhi ye problem aa rhi hai, to uske causes ho skte hai psychological problem, obesity, constipation, diabetes. Then we take care of these problems and of course provide medicines. Bed-wetting ke lia hmara advice hota hai parents ko, don’t give fluid to the child 2-3 hours before the bed time.

Raat ko sulane se pehle usko bathroom kra ke sulao. Or agar usko raat ko bhi jana hai to, wake up your child and get him to the washroom. Worm infestation, tapeworm iska problem jo hai vo hume dikh bhi skti hai or nhi bhi. Bhut sare bache hote hain, unko hoti hai worm infestation, but we ignore them. Because of the mild symptoms. Bacha complaint kar skta hai ki uska nnose rub ho rha hai, pait me dard ho rha hai, ans me itching ho rhi hai, bhut

jyada kha rha hai, bhut kam kha rha hai, weakness, tiredness. Please don’t ignore these symptoms. And what is the cure of warm infestation. Bache ke nails regularly cut kren. Usko encourage kren ki vo hath bar bar dhoe khane se pehle. Nail biting na kre, maintain a good hygiene, good sanitary condition, wear fresh cloth daily. Change the beddings regularly. And of course, these things won’t help, we are here to help you at Goel Health Care Solutions. We have very nice medicines. We help you and your child to overcome these problems. We believe in a complete constitutional treatment with a complete treatment where we give best of homeopathic medicines. Taking care of your child personality, eating habits and surroundings. I would like to end it with just a suggestion, please be a good example for your children. Encourage your children to play some sport, physical activity is very important and to develop a good communication habit with a child to observe what are the changes your child is having. Are they good or not so good? And be friends with your children.

Thank you. Have a happy and healthy life.

Autism - How To Diagnose & Treat It Through Homeopathy?

Autism - How To Diagnose & Treat It Through Homeopathy?

Autism is a condition that afflicts many children around the globe and continues well into adulthood, with far-ranging and lifelong repercussions. While there is no permanent cure for this debilitating condition, one can turn to a number of treatments and management methods in order to take care of the symptoms and suppress the onset of the same. Let us find out more about the causes of the condition as well as the diagnosis, diet and homeopathic treatment for the same:

Causes -

This is a neurological disease that children are usually born with. It may arise due to genetic or environmental factors. This is a complex ailment that has a bearing on the social and communication skills of the child and it affects his/her development as the child grows into an adult. Intake of drugs and other kinds of harmful medications during pregnancy are the most notable causes of this disease, while a faulty carrier gene could also bring on this condition in many cases. Exposure to many kinds of chemicals may also lead to the onset of this condition.

Diagnosis -

While there are no lab tests that can determine the presence of this condition, doctors usually conduct the diagnosis on the basis of the symptoms, including constant tantrums, repetition of words as well as slurring, and over sensitivity towards pain. Further, a clinical evaluation based on the milestones touched by the child in the development process will also be studied carefully in order to make the right diagnosis. Screening tests can help determine the presence of this condition.

Diet & Management -

There is a large body of medical practitioners who hold the belief that the diet of a patient can have a large bearing on how he or she reacts to autism and its symptoms. As per many medical studies, it is known that these patients are not able to digest gluten and casein very well, which is why they should eliminate the same from their diet. Therefore, the patients must stick to gluten-free food like rice, vegetables, corn, soy and even fruits. Further, they should even try to avoid casein-rich food like dairy.

Homeopathic Treatment -

These medicines should always be prescribed by a doctor. There are several types of medicines available to treat and manage the symptoms, especially if they arise due to genetic reasons. These may be prescribed for a period of six months to one year at a time, depending on the severity of the symptoms.

The Houston Homeopathy Method has been known to give relief to over hundreds of children suffering from this ailment. Constitutional homeopathy can also be used in such cases so as to bring some respite from the symptoms. Some of the most effective Homeopathic medicines for curing Autism are Stramonium, Tarentula hispanica, Calcarea carbonica, Natrum muriaticum and Carcinosinum.

Skin Rashes - 5 Top Homeopathic Remedies To Solve Your Problem!

Skin Rashes - 5 Top Homeopathic Remedies To Solve Your Problem!

Skin rashes can be of many kinds. These may be due to various improper body system. Thankfully, homeopathy has many solutions for the plethora of causative factors for skin rashes. These remedies aim at treating the underlying cause of the affecting ailment. Any skin change that affects the look, colour or texture can be termed as a rash.

Rashes might or might not have any accompanying pain. They may be spread all over the body or may affect anyone part and be localised. It might affect the body image apart from the discomfort it causes. A few kinds of rashes disappear without treatment, while others require medical attention.

Homeopathy tries to holistically solve the disease by treating the underlying causes than just the symptoms of the disease. Here are the most commonly employed treatments:

  1. Arsenicum (Ars): It is useful in treating skin ailments wherein the skin gets thickened; such as in chronic urticarial, chronic eczema and psoriasis. The rash might be papular and cause a burning sensation. The pustules turn into scabs. It is also effective in treating ringworms and certain kinds of hives. Hives which are formed after consuming fruits or pork are known to show noticeable regression after consuming Arsenicum. Wheals, which are induced due to consistent exposure to cold can also be remedied by this remedy.
  2. Apis Mellifica (Apis): It is useful when urticarial infections have a sudden onset with a widespread appearance of welts. Hives that spread all over the body and bed rashes can also be treated with this drug.
  3. Hepar Sulphur (Hep): This drug is helpful in treating moist eruptions on skin folds and the joints. The skin in such cases is prone to suppuration (the process of pus forming) and becomes very sensitive. This can also be used in eczematous scalp and cases wherein the skin becomes very sensitive. Genital organs affected by boils can especially benefit from Hepar sulphur.
  4. Caladium: It is most commonly used in case of asthmatics who suffer from rashes. This kind of rash alternates with the asthma attacks.
  5. Medorrhinum: Babies having rashes around their anus (diaper rash) are generally recommended this medicine for the eruptions to subside.
  6. Sulphur: This works well for rashes that are extremely itchy and feeling burning. You feel better when something cold is applied to the area. Your skin is rough, dry and peeling. You have blisters and fluid-filled bumps that exist within a patch of dark red skin. It may affect the left side of the body more often than the right, especially at points that bend and folds of the skin.
  7. Psorinum: Psorinum is one of the most wonderful Homeopathic medicines for skin rash and itching in the bend of joints, for example, the hollow of the knee or elbow. Homeopathic medicine Psorinum has shown the best results where itching is intolerable and the skin gets raw or may even start to bleed from intense and continuous scratching. So severe is the condition that the person often finds it hard to even sleep. In persons showing these vital signs, Psorinum has proved to be one of the most suitable Homeopathic medicines for skin rash and itching. Psorinum is also among the most effective Homeopathic medicines for skin ailments that get worse in winters. Along with the symptoms mentioned above, sensitivity to cold air may also be felt in some cases.

Scared Of Giving Exams - How Homeopathic Remedies Can Help?

Scared Of Giving Exams - How Homeopathic Remedies Can Help?

"I have a severe stomach ache, I feel like vomiting ... Mom, please!! I can't go for exam."
"I read it! I knew it all ... But I just blacked out."
"I just couldn't write! My hands were trembling."
"I messed up this question! I can do nothing right... I can never succeed in life!!"

It's not uncommon for students to experience such problems before/ during an exam.

Most of us suffer from some degree of anxiety when we prepare or sit for an examination. Examination usually leads to a lot of tension and anxiety commonly known as examination phobia. Examination phobia or Examophobia is a mental disorder found in most of the students. When exams arrive, students become extremely worried and make plans about how to study, how to perform better and get good grades. Some students find exams so difficult that the phobia makes them sick as they simply find themselves unable to cope up with the exam fear. There may be sweating, palpitations that disturb so much that one cannot think straight and end up messing up the paper. Also, in subsequent exams, it becomes worse and the fear intensifies. The person may end up feeling a failure, feeling guilty and may even be suicidal!

Anxiety is a normal human feeling that is part of life and can often serve as a good form of adrenaline. However, in few people, this adrenaline rush exceeds normal limits and at times may lead to some negative consequences.

Exam anxiety is:

1. Excessive worry about upcoming exams
2. Fear of being evaluated
3. Apprehension about the consequence
4. Experienced by many normal students

POSSIBLE CAUSES
(I) Environmental Causes

1. High expectations of parents
2. Parents imposing their ambitions on children
3. Parents competing for higher social status through child's scores
4. Constant comparison with other kids
5. Fear of teachers
6. Insulting remarks from teachers

(II) Poor studying styles:
1. Inefficient:

1. Irregular coverage of the entire syllabus
2. Trying to memorize the course book
3. Binge learning
4. Studying all-night right before exams

2. Ineffective:

1. Reading without understanding the topic
2. Unable to recollect the material
3. Not making revision notes
4. Not revising

(III) Psychological factors:

1. Feeling little or no control over the exam situation (rather than knowing and applying exam strategies)
2. Negative thinking and self-criticism
3. Irrational thinking about exams and outcomes
4. Irrational beliefs "If I don't pass, my (family/boyfriend/girlfriend/friends) will lose respect for me"
5. Irrational demands "I have to get at least 98% or I am worthless."
6. Catastrophic predictions "I'll fail no matter what I do—there’s no point."
7. Low Self-esteem
8. Fear of failure

SYMPTOMS OF EXAM ANXIETY
The symptoms can range from minor nervousness to a panic attack, which can ruin the test. But whatever the level of your anxiety, learning to keep yourself calm and managing the fear of sitting for an examination is what it takes to come out with flying colors.

1. Physical symptoms. Headache, nausea, diarrhea, excessive sweating, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, lightheadedness and feeling faint can all occur. Test anxiety can lead to a panic attack, which is the abrupt onset of intense fear or discomfort in which individuals may feel like they are unable to breathe or having a heart attack
2. Emotional symptoms. Feelings of anger, fear, helplessness and disappointment are common emotional responses to test anxiety.
3. Behavioral/Cognitive symptoms. Difficulty concentrating, thinking negatively and comparing yourself to others are common symptoms of test anxiety.

HOW TO PREPARE WELL FOR AN EXAMINATION
Fortunately, there are several methods that you can adopt to reduce your examination stress, which will not only help you to get higher grades but also improve your overall mental health.

1. Regular Studies Develop good study habits- ATTEND classes regularly, finish all the assignments on time, make notes properly and be an actively engaging student in school. Leave plenty of time to revise so that you don't have to do last minute cramming. Giving yourself adequate time will help to boost your confidence and reduce any pre-exam stress as you know you have prepared well. Instead of waiting for the eleventh hour, start studying as and when the academic year commences. With a good amount of time before hand, you will certainly feel more relaxed as you have plenty of time to give-in your best.
2. Exercise Matters - It is of paramount importance to maintain mental, psychological and physical health to ace any exam. Exercising regularly, deep breathing and ‘pranayama’ help in improving one’s cognitive faculties, that results in lesser anxiety and simultaneously better grades in the tests.
3. Don’t Undermine the Importance of Diet - Be careful about your diet during the exams. A diet lacking in essential nutrients can put a major dent in your preparations; make you feel nauseated, SLEEPY OR overstressed during the crucial hours.
4. SLEEP WELL - Adequate sleep is also vital. SLEEPING TOO LESS OR TOO MUCH CAN ALSO HAMPER YOUR ABILITIES
5. Support - Take short breaks in between and spend some quality time with your family; share your feelings and state of mind with them. Spending time with the family can turn out to be a major stress booster.
6. Set a Study Time: Lastly, drawing up a schedule will help you make the most of your study time. Set aside a time for your studies and follow it meticulously. Keep it flexible so that you can make the necessary adjustments.
7. Stay focused: Concentrate on your studies, not others during the examination time. Avoid talking with other students about the subject before an examination.
8. Use Mnemonics: Mnemonics are the techniques of memorization. You can make chart, rhymes or phrase to memorize your lessons.
9. Practice Deep Breathing Regularly - Meditation is one of the best medicine that can reduce your anxiety. Make a habit to Meditate at least 10 minutes per day. It surely increases your concentration power.
10. Consult Psychologist: If your anxiety becomes uncontrollable, don’t hesitate to consult a psychologist or therapist. CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) is pretty effective in treating anxiety disorders. It helps to change your thought process and negative beliefs. Performance or test anxiety is highly treatable so you can get absolutely get a better result.

HOW TO ATTEMPT THE EXAMINATION IN BEST POSSIBLE WAY
(I) ON THE DAY OF EXAM

1. Get a restful, uninterrupted sleep the night before so you wake up refreshed and revitalized the day of the exam.
2. Have a healthy breakfast but strictly avoid oily and heavy food
3. Recheck your required stuff (pen, pencil, compass box, eraser, admit card, watch etc) before leaving home.
4. Take the water bottle along with you to the examination hall.
5. Avoid touching new/left-out topic at the last moment.
6. Aim to reach the examination hall well in time.
7. Avoid being part of Before-exam peer discussions on How well-prepared or unprepared others are! The classic "Tera kitna ho gaya" question followed by undue comparisons can be a complete confidence killer. So Beware !!
8. If feeling tensed, take deep-long breaths and engage in positive self-talk; reminding yourself that you prepared best to your ability and tell oneself " I CAN DO IT "

(II) IN THE EXAMINATION HALL

  1. First of all, fill the required information on the answer sheet.
  2. Read the instructions carefully to figure out if you have a choice of questions, no. of questions to be attempted etc.
  3. Read the question paper thoroughly before u begin writing and mark the questions under 3 categories: (a) Easy (b) Manageable (c) Difficult
  4. Manage your time: This is where you strictly need to stick to the plan:
    1. Before you begin, allocate time for each question based on the marks it carries and difficulty level.
    2. If you are not able to complete an answer within planned time-frame, leave some space and move onto the next question.
    3. Always divide time in such a way that you are left with some time at the end to go back over incomplete answers and revise/recheck.
    4. Always try to attempt all the questions.
    5. Attempt the Easy questions first, followed by Manageable and Difficult questions at last. That way you stay secure, calm and confident.
    6. Avoid writing too lengthy answer just because you know it well.

5. Presentation:

a. Handwriting should be neat & readable.
b. Instead of very long paragraphs, put your answer point-wise.
c. Wherever possible, illustrate the information via Flowcharts/diagrams etc.
d. Highlight: underline or highlight the main points using pencil / coloured markers but you should keep it for last spare moments.

(III) TIPS FOR PARENTS:
Encourage your kids! Parents have the ability to address underlying fears that may be present with test-taking. At a deep level, even subconsciously, a student may fear failure for a variety of reasons. There could be a fear of looking dumb to friends, of not getting into the best school, or of not meeting parent’s expectations. A great help is for parents to reinforce their unconditional support and encouragement to the child. Parents, let your children know that their grade does not determine their worth. Believe in your child.

Help them get over the myth that "Success in exam is a predictor of success in life".

Good marks = Great job.
Poor marks = End of life!!

In short, "There are no secrets to success. It is the result of Time Management, Hard work and Learning from mistakes"

The Homeopathic medicinal approach to get over examination phobia:

Homoeopathy provides amazing treatment in the form of drugs for anxiety and phobia. There are multiple drugs in Homoeopathy for treating anxiety, some of which are listed below. Students can go for any of them and get rid of the exam fear so that they can perform well in their exams:

  1. Aconitum Napellus

Hyperlipidemia - An Overview

Play video

Thank you!

Role Of Homeopathy In Thyroid Disorders!

Role Of Homeopathy In Thyroid Disorders!

Hypothyroidism is a condition called deficiency of thyroid hormone. The main duty of thyroid hormone is to rmaintain the metabolism of the body. Hence, the person affected by it will experience slow metabolism. Hypo means underactive, which means the lack of thyroid hormones in the body.

Types of hypothyroidism

This happens when the functioning thyroid gland fail to produce t3 and t4. As a result, pituitary gland releases thyroid stimulating hormone (tsh). This helps in producing t3 and t4 hormones. This cause is termed as hashimoto’s thyroiditis.

Primary hypothyroidism is the deficiency of thyroid hormones due to inadequate production.

Secondary hypothyroidism is deficiency of thyroid hormones due to inadequate stimulation of the thyroid gland through pituitary gland.

Causes of hypothyroidism

Deficiency of iron

Viral infections or other respiratory disorders

Certain medicines such as lithium that is used to treat psychiatric

Radiation therapy for some cancers

Treating hyperthyroidism with anti-thyroid medicine

An underactive thyroid gland by birth

The hypothyroidism during pregnancy.

Symptoms of hypothyroidism

Fatigue

Weight gain

Weakness

Dry, rough pale skin

Coarse, dry hair

Hair loss

Muscle cramps and muscle aches

Cold intolerance

Constipation

Irritability

Depression

Memory loss

Abnormal menstrual cycles

Decreased libido

Homeopathy treatment for hypothyroidism

Homeopathy medicines are always known for treating the disease permanently and same way the medicine performs here too. The disease could be treated through different medicines in homeopathy. Choosing or prescribing the right medicine depends on the cause of the disease and its effect.

Here is the list of homeopathy medicines that helps in eradicating the effectiveness of the disease completely.

Calcarea carbonica

Sepia officinalis

Lycopodium clavatum

Graphites

Nux vomica

Iodum treats hypothyroidism. The person is emaciated

Thymusinum - treatment of stunted conditions in children

Bromum treats goiter

Lapis albus treats hyperthyroidism and goiter

Natrum muriaticum treats an under active gland

However, these are just the names of the medicines, which should not be taken without prior approval from a homeopathy doctor, as the dosage and frequency of the medicine will be decided by the doctor based on the patient's condition and symptoms.

Pterygium And Homeopathy!

Pterygium And Homeopathy!

Pterygium

Pterygium, also known as surfer's eye, is a common ocular surface disorder. It is a wing shaped fibrovascular overgrowth (pink, fleshy tissue) of bulbar conjunctiva on the cornea within the intrapalpebral fissure, whereas, pinguecula, a similar condition of eye commonly seen with pterygium, is a yellowish patch or bump on the conjunctiva (the clear tissue that lines your eyelids and covers your eyeball). Both are mostly often located on the nasal side.

A pinguecula is very similar to a pterygium, and the two are often confused. However, a pinguecula occurs only on the conjunctiva and will not grow across the cornea.

Pterygium can look scary, but it isn’t cancer, it is a benign growth. The growth might spread slowly during your life or stop after a certain point. In extreme cases, it can cover your pupil and cause vision problems.

Though it isn’t usually a serious condition, it can cause annoying symptoms. You might feel like you have something in your eye. Or it may get red and irritated and require medical or surgical treatment. You might also feel self-conscious because people may ask you about your eye being red all the time.

Pterygium usually occur in people aged 20 to 50, and is 2 times more common in males than in females.

Frequency of the condition varies from 1% to 33%. The condition becomes more common with age.

Causes: unknown

Risk factors

Excessive exposure to wind

Dust

Uv-b radiation

Proximity to the equator

Dry climates

Outdoor lifestyle

Some research also suggests a genetic predisposition

Sports people such as sailors, surfers and skiers also have a high incidence because of the high levels of reflected uv light they encounter

Pterygia are also more common in areas where there is ozone layer depletion, such as new zealand.

Segments of pterygium:

Fuchs' patches (minute gray blemishes that disperse near the pterygium head)

Stocker's line (a brownish line composed of iron deposits)

Hood (fibrous nonvascular portion of the pterygium)

Head (apex of the pterygium, typically raised and highly vascular)

Body (fleshy elevated portion congested with tortuous vessels)

Superior edge (upper edge of the triangular or wing-shaped portion of the pterygium)

Inferior edge (lower edge of the triangular or wing-shaped portion of the pterygium)

Signs:

The diagnosis of pterygium is based on the clinical appearance of the lesion. Typical findings include:

Fibrovascular conjunctival growth within the palpebral fissure extending onto the corneal surface

Triangular shape with the apex, or head, extending onto the cornea

Vascular straightening in the direction of the advancing head of the pterygium on the corneal surface.

May be a thin translucent membrane or significantly thickened with an elevated mound of gelatinous material.

It may affect the nasal and temporal limbus of both eyes or only a single location.

Raised lesion, white to pink in color depending on vascularity

Ranges from a fine transparent area with very mild elevation, few vessels, and minimal corneal involvement in the early stages to a thick opaque vascular growth extending to the visual axis in later stages

Pinguecula are often present in the ipsilateral or contralateral eye

A pigmented epithelial iron line (stocker’s line) adjacent to a pterygium is evidence of chronicity.

It is unusual for pterygia to deviate from the characteristic locations of three and nine o’clock within the palpebral fissure. Pterygioid lesions in other locations should elevate suspicion for alternate diagnoses.

Symptoms:

Mostly asymptomatic but depending on the severity and rapidity of growth of pterygium, symptoms are:

Burning

Gritty feeling

Itching

Inflammation

Dryness

Foreign body sensation in the eye

Lacrymation

Photophobia

Cosmetic disturbance

Blurry vision or double vision (vision gets affected if it involves pupillary area of the cornea)

Astigmatism

Corneal scarring

Before vision disturbance appears, a related condition called a pinguecula may appear. This is a yellowish patch or bump on the conjunctiva and can get red if irritated.

Diagnosis

It is easily diagnosed clinically, but histopathologic confirmation by slit-lamp examination is performed routinely.

General management:

Wear protective sunglasses with side shields and/or wide brimmed hats and using artificial tears throughout the day may help prevent their formation or stop further growth. Choose shades that block 99%-100% of both ultraviolet a (uva) and ultraviolet b (uvb) radiation.

Surfers and other water-sport athletes should wear eye protection that blocks 100% of the uv rays from the water, as is often used by snow-sport athletes.

Wraparound styles provide the best shield against ultraviolet light, dust, and wind. Wear them when you’re in the car, too.

You can also apply a protective film to your side windows to help protect you when you're driving.

Medicinal management:

Conventionally, in allopathy, management of pterygia ranging from conservative management with lubrication by vasoconstrictor drops, lubricating drops and ointments to surgical excision with conjunctival autografts if the growth causes discomfort, other treatments have failed, your eyesight is at risk and interferes with your vision, or is not cosmetically acceptable to you.

Like any surgery, there may be complications which include return of a more aggressive growth, scars.

If you do have the operation, pay careful attention to your eye for the next year. Most growths that come back will return within the first 12 months after surgery. After surgery it is prudent to always wear wraparound frame sunglasses outdoors.

To a homoeopath, the eye is not an organ requiring" local" therapeutics, it pertains to one whole: the organism, being irrigated by the same blood, bathed by the same lymph and innervated by the same nervous current.

Some commonly used medicines for pteygium are:

Calcarea picrata; zincum met.; ratanhia; sulphur; euphrasia; calcarea carbonica; ateropinum; natrum sulp.; ferr. Phos.

Follow up:

Initially, the corneal extension of the pterygium should be measured through slit-lamp examination and followed every 2-3 months during the treatment. After treatment, once the overall symptoms subsides with no visual, cosmetic, general or physical symptoms, in every 1 to 2 years patient is recomended to visit the treating physician and should undergo slit-lamp examination to determine the rate of growth toward the visual axis.
