Hello, Macular degeneration is a pathological condition that occurs in the macular area of the retina. The macula is the area of the retina responsible for central vision or that which gives us the greatest detail in our sight. Since there is no effective allopathic treatment, why not try homoeopathy. Macular degeneration can be treated Homoeopathically just like any other disease state of the body. The constitutional approach works best, the goal being to find the remedy for the totality of the case. So need to know you as a whole to prescribe any medicine. Thank you.

Hello, if the colour of sclera is yellow since childhood, nothing can be done, but if it's there for the past few days or few months, then there are chances of diseases of the liver, including hepatitis and cirrhosis, can turn the scleras yellow. So, get your liver function test done to rule out these. Get back to me with the reports.

I uses spectacles for clear vision, my right eye need -4. 50 & left eye need -6. 00 power glasses. My vision is 6/6. I just wanted to know the alternatives to remove my spectacles like lasic lazer, contact lenses etc. I have heard about the lenses inserted between the cornea & eye, is is technique came to india or not and this technique is safer from lasic lazer or not.

MBBS, MS - Ophthalmology
Ophthalmologist, Delhi
Lasik is better than icl (refractive lens technique) as it is least invasive and very less side effects are seen with it. Also cost is very less compared to icl. Icl is preferably done cases where lasik cannot be done.

I have red eyes for over 3 days. What should I do to cure it? Also tell me a good eye drop?
Eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye (sclera) become swollen. Vessels may swell due to: • Eye dryness • Too much sun exposure • Dust or other particles in the eye • Allergies • Infection • Injury Homoeopathic medicine EUPHRASIA 30 ( Dr Reckeweg) Drink 2 drops direct on tongue every 2-3 hrly EUPHRASIA EYEDROPS ( SBL ) pour into eyes 1-2 drops 3 times daily If no relief within 2 days, please cosult an Eye specialist for physical examination.

A test called corneal topography will be done first, If the results of this test is fine then you can undergo LASIK safely.

Foggy and Cloudy Vision - A Sign Of Cataract?

DOMS, MBBS
Ophthalmologist, Delhi
Foggy and Cloudy Vision - A Sign Of Cataract?

Cataract is clouding of clear natural lens present inside the eye, this is a major cause of decreased vision in elderly. Cataracts can occur in one or both eyes, usually developing very slowly. Things look blurry, hazy, less colourful and less sharp with cataract.

Most cataracts are related to ageing, however many other factors can either increase the rate of formation or cause cataract formation.

Causes of Cataract Formation-

  1. Ageing: Most common cause. As the proteins present in the lens of the eye degenerates over the years ( just like any other organ) cataract is formed. If you are having Diabetes or hypertension, the rate of formation gets accelerated.

  2. Radiation: Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet rays, especially UV-B rays, results in cataract in your eyes. Wearing sunglasses in the daytime helps in slowing down the process of cataract.

  3. Genes: Many genetic disorders can result in congenital cataract ( cataracts present since birth) or early formation. Like in Lowe syndrome or Down's syndrome.

  4. Lifestyle Choices: Cigarette smoking, long hours of sun exposure regularly, antioxidant, poor diet etc. are responsible for the onset of cataract.

How To Detect Cataract?

Certain signs and symptoms suggest the existence of cataract in the eye. Depending on the type and level of cataract, problems in vision occurs. The main symptom is foggy cloudy vision as if seeing through a dirty glass window.

Other Symptoms are-

  1. inability to see clearly in bright light (during the day) which becomes better in dim light ( evening and night) and vice versa.
  2. watery, tired eyes - mild pain in and around eyes.
  3. yellow tinge in vision
  4. Halos around light bulbs or bright light.

If you are experiencing above symptoms and having problems in viewing things clearly, consult an ophthalmologist and get your eyes checked.

If I see girls first my I eyes will be on there breasts and body. I want to get rid of this.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
If I see girls first my I eyes will be on there breasts and body. I want to get rid of this.
It's okay if this is a problem for you -- after all, you're only human -- but if you want the girl to respect you and to not feel objectified, then you have to make an effort to change your habit. For this I haave developed below given strategies and hope you can benefit from this 1.Find another place to rest your eyes. So making eye contact is great, but you can't do it 24/7 without freaking the girl out, so decide on a place where you will rest your eyes from time to time. It can be the clock above the girl's head, it can be your watch or the books you're holding, or it can be the door to the left of you. Whenever your eyes need to take a break, return them to that same location so they don't end up wandering over to an inappropriate area. One of the reasons that you may be looking at the girl's chest is because you feel the need to break eye contact and naturally rest your eyes on an appealing place.Sure, the girl may think it's a little strange that you're looking at the clock every minute, but that's better than staring at her chest, isn't it? 2.Get lost in conversation. Talk to her about anything -- movies, school, events, or whatever interests you enough to distract you from her breasts. Practice the art ofgood conversation and attentive listening. If you're having a great conversation, then soon enough, you won't be thinking about her boobs. Think of ways to make her laugh, impress her, or to make her feel special, and soon enough, you'll be focusing on the right things.

Baldness is defined as the partial or complete loss of hair or lack of growth of hair. About 70% of the men suffer from male pattern baldness. Baldness is the most common reason for Hair loss in men. The main reason for baldness is heredity or male sex hormones. The hairline gradually recedes and the hair becomes finer and thinner. It can be effectively reduced through certain home remedies. Massaging your hair and scalp with lukewarm basic oils like amla oil, coconut oil, almond oil or even olive oil will help in stimulating your hair follicles and prevent the scalp for developing dandruff. Amla • Cut dry pieces of amla and boil it in good coconut oil. • Let this mixture cool and then strain the mixture into an air tight bottle. • Apply this oil on your head daily and leave it on your scalp for 15 minutes before bathing. • This will help in enriching hair growth.

I am 20 years old. I am suffering eye disease like when I am working more on computer or on a book my eyes gets iritated like become red and tears and itching will happened on my eyelids. Please tell me a solution to my problem.

FICO, Specialist in Cataract,Cornea and refractive surgeries , MD - Ophthalmology
Ophthalmologist, Srinagar
Some people who have a minimal refractive error will often get away without wearing glasses, but when working on a computer screen or doing a lot of concentrated work, the small prescription can begin to cause symptoms and under these circumstances correcting the prescription with glasses can be helpful. An anti-reflection coating (ultraclear) is often advised to reduce the annoying reflections of light from the lens surfaces. If your eyes are fine and normal then there is no proven glasses that can be prescribed to help. However, some people find that wearing glasses with a tint that absorbs the blue spectrum of light makes vision more comfortable. They are usually tinted a yellow colour. A common problem when working on a screen for long periods is'dry eye. This is because concentrated work tends to reduce the blink reflex that replenishes the tears, and the dry atmosphere and lack of fresh air adds to the problem of insufficent tears. Allowing the cornea to become dry can cause irritation and blurred and variable vision. Use some lubricating eye drops like refresh tears, use them at least 4 times a day at least. You do need to look at every aspect of your work environment also. Use proper lighting, dont work in dim conditions should use table and chair. Your table should be of proper height so that you dont have to bend too much. Take rest after 30 mins for few mins, put the tear drops and work again. Do blink intermittently. Also you are showing sign of blepharitis, that is inflammation in eye lids. Use a baby shampoo, dilute it with luke warm water and scrub your eyelids once daily. Dont allow the shampoo to go inside the eye.

This is called floaters. It could be normal but also it could be a sign of some retinal problem. Get your eyes cheeked by an ophthalmologist preferably a retina specialist.

I want to get rid of my spectacles, Power is -3.5. Is laser a solution?
I use specs regularly.
There is no medication or food for improving eyesight or to get rid of glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens b. Lasik laser your number will not increase now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. As you are not comfortable with contact lens then go for lasik. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik.

Jb mai mobile 10 minutes se jyada chalata hu meri aank dard krne lagti h? Ye kaise theek hogi
Here are the instructions for mobile phone use: 1. Blink, blink and blink again. Blinking often (and for more than a second) keeps your eyes moist and reduces dryness and irritation. We tend blink about a third less than we normally would when we stare at our smartphone screens, which starves our poor peepers of protective tears. Keep your eyes wet by blinking about 10 times every 20 minutes or so and you should be good to go. 2. Minimize glare. Unless you have a smartphone equipped with anti-glare Corning Gorilla Glass or use a matte screen protector film, you’re probably coping with a fair amount of annoying reflective glare. 3. Take breaks. Follow 20-20-20 rule. The concept is to take a break from looking at your screen every 20 minutes for 20 seconds while looking at something 20 feet away. Doing so relaxes your eye muscles 4. Adjust your brightness. Having your screen too bright or too dark stresses your eyes out and can cause problems maintaining focus. To eliminate either issue in about a matter of seconds, simply go into your smartphone settings and adjust your screen brightness so it’s about the same as the light level in the environment around you 5. Tweak your text size and contrast. Adjusting your smartphone text contrast and size also provides a little much-needed relief. 6. Keep a clean screen. Routinely wipe down your smartphone screen with a dry (not wet!) cleaning cloth to remove distracting dust, grime, smudges and fingerprints. 7. Hold your smartphone farther away. Try holding yours at least 16 to 18 inches away from your eyes to give your eyes a break.

Redness & irritation eyes could be because of many reasons but commonly it is due to allergy or infection. You need to visit eye specialist to differentiate between the two as the treatment is different. Also get your eyes checked for any glass power.
