Hello friends, my name is Dr. Tarun Jhamb. I am an MD physician practicing for the last 15 years and have a vast experience from Apollo Hospital, Delhi and Columbia Asia Hospital, Gurgaon. Today we will discuss about the best motive of 'Be Healthy and Stay healthy'. That is our motive in life. We will discuss few tips which will give immense knowledge to you.
We will start with our diet schedule. Diet is very important to increase the immunity and boost our immune system and fighting the infections and other general problems. Starting with breakfast, lunch and dinner, the basic timing for all these should be fixed and there should be small amount of food but on regular basis. Diet should be easily penetrable and healthy from all the balanced nutrients point of view. There should be a lot of carbohydrates, proteins, low amount of fats and also lot of fruits and vegetables. Breakfast is very important in the morning. Never skip the breakfast because after over a night of a long fast we are taking the break and getting the food. So it’s good for the health and maintains the nutrition status of our body. The same is for the lunch and dinner. All the timings should be fixed. Next comes the content. All the healthy food contains all the basic components as we have already discussed. So diet is important focus for our health.
Second comes our exercise and jogging schedule. In exercise, we get the toxins out of our body; we get our circulation, muscle strength, energy levels. We are maintaining our strength and stamina. We are acting out our lungs and getting the best of oxygen and taking out the carbon dioxide. So exercise on a regular basis since it’s very good for health. Simple exercise is not very costly like walking but just take care that it should be a safe and infection free platform once we are walking or doing the jogging and exercise. We should take a lot of liquids and juices during our exercise to avoid dehydration.
Next is the sleeping pattern. Our body needs 6 to 8 hours of sleep according to the person’s requirement and we should have the deep sleep so that we get more energy after we are waking up. Throughout the night hours keep a regular timing for the sleep and make your mind to get the proper energy level during sleeping.
Other factors which are good for the health are meditation and yoga therapy. Meditation makes the body healthy and relaxes the muscles. It saves us from a lot of further medical problems. So giving some time for a simple meditation which does not require much of training is also good for the health. Next comes the washing healthy habits where we should take a proper wash of the body. We should have proper cleaning up of the body and proper tooth brush on a daily basis. We should learn how to have the good hand hygienic techniques. That’s very simple and basic and it makes us good from all the sinus problems, skin problems. It detoxifies our body and makes it healthy. We should also have the De-stress lifestyle which is keeping one work at a time. Just briefing all of these, our motto should be to Be healthy and stay healthy.

The following measures can make you healthy:
- Temperature Control: Make sure you control the temperature of your refrigerator from time to time according to the storage requirements of the foods. An unclean refrigerator can induce growth of parasites thereby increasing the risk of food poisoning and other problems. Fermentation or frequent curdling of milk products can be a sign of an unclean fridge. Make sure you clean your fridge regularly to avoid contamination of your food.
- Get Rid of Expired or Rotten Food: Cleaning the refrigerator on a regular basis can help you get rid of expired foods and rotten vegetables. It often happens that food gets spoilt inside the fridge due to lack of temperature control, improper storage or simply because it was left inside for a long time. It is best to check the contents of your fridge routinely and get rid of any food which gives out a stink or has changed color in ordered to keep the other foods in good condition.
The above points will ensure you eat more healthy and in turn, will result in a better overall health!

There is a tradition in a lot of families to clean ears regularly with ear buds or q tips and those who don't do it are many times considered unhygienic. But it may risk hearing ability. Inside ear is a very delicate structure and is likely to be damaged easily even with trivial trauma.
First, we must understand that wax has a useful role to play in the ear, it lubricates protects and renders antiseptic property. Ears without wax feel dry and itchy. Wax is self-cleaned from our ear canal propagated by movements of the jaw. So most of the times there is never any need to clean wax from inside the ears. The only external surface of the ear should be cleaned with a cloth.
Many times attempts to clean ears with ear buds results in injury to the delicate skin of ear canal and even worse it may injure the eardrum or if there is a wax chunk it may push deep into the eardrums.
Earwax needs to cleaned only when it obstructs the sound pathway to ear drum. When there is a feeling of fullness or blockage or plugged, there is a partial hearing loss there is ringing in the ears or tinnitus or noise in the ear or there is itching or odour in the ear.
Many times home remedies are useful to remove ear wax like instilling drops of mineral oil glycerine or commercially available drops. If not successful then it should be removed by ent surgeon. Ent surgeon may wash earwax out with warm water or saline. Sometimes ent surgeon may remove wax by suction or microinstruments under a microscope. There is no proven remedy for frequent wax impaction but it is very important to avoid inserting any object inside the ear to clean wax. Those who get frequent wax impaction or using hearing aids may need to see ent surgeon every 6 to 12 months to clean wax regularly.
