Hello sir/ man My girlfriend and I had sex the 13th of this month, v did use condoms but her periods is due this 28th, and she is getting a bit paranoid about it, So my question is if she is pregnant, would a contraceptive pill do the job, or should we visit a doc for a abortion pill.

Reasons for abdomen pain? I have been having abdomen pain with low back pain from past few days. I missed my periods ...
Slight lower abdominal pain is common during menses but if you are having it severely then get your sonography done. Lower back pain can occur in leucorrhea also. If you have leucorrhea with general weakness and pain then use homeopathic medicines. These medicines can reduce your pain and regularise your periods.

Sleeping Naked ! Can Boost Your Post Marital Sexual Life

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Sleeping Naked ! Can Boost Your Post Marital Sexual Life

Sometimes it is the simplest things that can really amp up your marriage, sleeping naked is one of those simple things you can do to improve your marriage.

First off sleeping naked is quite freeing both physically and psychologically. Baring yourself while you sleep with your spouse builds trust both physically (oxytocin is thanked for this) and psychologically.

The act of sleeping naked is simply sexy and appealing to your partner.

That skin to skin feeling also makes you feel sexy. Skin on skin contact releases the hormone oxytocin which increases the feelings of comfort.

This may put you in the mood for sex.

Oxytocin has other benefits as well like making you feel more aroused, increasing feelings of trust, lowers heart rate, reduces blood pressure and simply makes you more ready for sexual interaction.

Of course healthy spouses are happy spouses. Sleeping naked has been scientifically proven to improve health.

Being close to your spouse and cuddling while you sleep is actually beneficial your health.

Your skin can absorb more nutrients.

Your metabolism will also improve because your body will have to work while you sleep to maintain that healthy body temperature of 98.6.

For both men and women sleeping naked allows their genitals to “air out”. Your genitals are covered up all day, everyday which makes it an ideal environment for the overgrowth of yeast and bacteria which can lead to infection and discomfort.

Sleep Benefits

More sound sleep equals less overall stress.

Feeling less stressed means less arguing and nit picking in marriages.

You may not believe it, but having a lower body temperature while you sleep actually helps you to rest better.

This is also an ideal environment for the anti-aging hormones to do their job.

Sexual Benefits

Sleeping naked is also fun. What better way to end the day than to be skin to skin with your spouse.

It is an intimate way to sleep and will make you feel closer to your spouse.

The skin to skin contact is a great way to get that intimate alone time that you cannot get anywhere else.

There have been nights when we go to bed exhausted and yet we are naked. Through out the night we are touching a feeling each other.

As a new day arrives and the house is quiet we find the perfect time to enjoy one another sexual and start our day off on the right track.

Free yourself from wearing clothes at night! Sleeping naked is a empowering situation for both of you!

Air Pollution

How Air Pollution affects our health

I am Dr. Rajiva Gupta, senior consultant in Internal Medicine and Diabetology. I have my own clinic at Upjaar Wellness, at Ashok Vihar Phase II, New Delhi. Today, we will discuss pollution. We all know, we keep on reading it on the news, in the media that pollution is creating a havoc in many parts of the country, Delhi is the worst affected by this.

Now, what is pollution? Pollution is the introduction of contaminants in our environment, be it air, water or soil. As far as human beings are concerned, they are most affected by the contamination in the air because this is the problem which all of us are encountering so frequently and it is at its peak. So, air pollution consists of solid particles in gases and many pollutants are carcinogens. Apart from these dire consequences, air pollution is also having a great effect on the lungs, the bronchial and heart which affects the quality of life, the productivity of life in the individual as well as its health consequences. People who are most affected by pollution are the elderly as I said in the beginning, elderly and the children.

Elderly people those who are already having diseases like cardiac diseases and lung disease, their pre-existing conditions get aggravated. Patients develop shortness of breath; many times they land up into hospitals. Patients who are having bronchitis or asthma, their conditions get aggravated, their usage of medicine gets increased and the quality of life suffers. In certain cases, they become critically ill and get admitted in Intensive Care Units. Till now, it was understood that the pollution only affects the lungs but recently we have come to know that it also affects the heart and the mechanism is not clearly known but then patients who suffer pollution or are exposed to pollution they have problems related to their heart such as heart failure, heart attack, etc., and they land up in hospital. So, we see that pollution has got a far reaching influence both on the quality of life; the seriousness of illnesses, and sometimes it may even cause mortality, not directly but indirectly.

How can pollution be prevented? Pollution prevention is a pretty tough task because it involves changes in the policy level, at the administrative level. On an individual basis, one can use masks so the best masks are called the N95 masks which are expensive but they claim to reduce the inhalation of pollutants. The use of air purifiers, again they have got a, they have a lot of controversy about how they are effective or not but certainly the weight of evidence suggests that to some extent they do help in getting down the prevalence and incidence of pollution related respiratory problems. So, therefore, people are advised not to go out for walks in the early mornings because that puts them at a greater risk of exposure to pollution and try to exercise at home. Usages of masks, installation of purifiers at home and at work places are the steps which could minimize the level of pollution.

If you have any other further queries, you can consult me at lybrate.com.

Periods can be delayed in women who are wanting to conceive due to stress. If urine pregnancy test is negative she needs to see a gynaecologist as she will need a prescription for periods.

Hai lybrate-user, seeing into the menstrual irregularity along with your mother age, it suggest of peri menopausal symptoms. Usually women aged around 40 to 55 years have irregular menstruation leading to menopause means complete stoppage of menses. It marks the end of reproductive age of a women. Nothing to do, observe the changes, no menses for a year marks menopause.

I was supposed to get my period on 12th october, but it still did not come, so im really worries I might e pregnant since I never missed one since im 15. I went to see a doctor on 17th october, who did a urine test and the results were negative. I took a home pregnancy test which was also negative. What should I do? Well, nothing to worry as you said you had protected sex and the pregnancy tests are also negative then the chances of conceiving are very less. If your dates are late then it may be because of hormonal changes because of which your periods are late and if you have taken any contraceptive pills so it can also a reason of latency in period. So nothing to worry still if you feel the problem consult a Gynecologist.
