Oats - The Champion Of Breakfasts
What better way to start your morning than a bowl of steaming hot oats!
These gluten-free, fibrous foods prepare you for a long day of of work ahead. It forms a great breakfast choice for vegetarians; it contains more protein than other foodgrains, in terms of quality and quantity.

Oats have a host of vitamins and minerals to make it a perfect meal for you. It has various health benefits:

1. Oats are energy boosters since they are high in carbohydrates. It also contains b-complex vitamins which help in production of energy.

2. Oats are low on calories and keep you full for a longer time, keeping cravings away. This helps you eat less but lose weight in a healthy manner. Your blood pressure, too, is kept under control.

3. It has complex carbohydrates which slowly break down to simple sugars. This prevents the blood sugar levels from rising high. Starting your day with oats helps to keep blood sugars under control for the rest of the day.

4. Oats contain fibers known as beta glucans which can lower the bad cholesterol (ldl), thus, preventing the risk of heart diseases. They also contain unique antioxidants called avenanthramides which also prevent cardiovascular diseases.

5. The soft fiber in oats makes it a perfect food for people with gastritis, colitis and any other digestive issues. Its high fiber content regularizes the bowel movement and cure constipation.

6. Lignans, a type of phytochemical in oats, reduce the risk of breast and colon cancer and also causes the stools to become bulky which can dilute and eliminate cancer causing agents.

7. Selenium and beta glucans in oats help to enhance the immune system and eliminate the bacteria from the body faster protecting us from bacterial infections.

Sprinkling a handful of chopped dates adds more value to your oatmeal: it helps you avoid that spoonful of sugar and also contributes to a healthy heart.

So, with every new sunrise, you ought to be looking forward to a lip-smacking, nutritious breakfast!

Hello- Improper thrusting techniques and early ejaculation during sex can dry your sexual satisfaction. Pelvic thrusting is an art which needs perfection in order to satisfy female partner. apart from that the sexual position your husband is using does not seem to stimulate your vaginal G-spot. These problems can be solved by the use of certain tips and aphrodisiac medicines. Consult if interested.

Is there any problems of taking I-pills too many in a month after having unprotected sex?

DGO, MBBS
Sexologist,
Yes ipill is meant to be taken as emergency pill only, and not to be taken more than once in a month. If you need more than one in a month then use regular contraceptive pills, they are more safe.

Hello you should wait for the period to come. If you don't get your periods, repeat the pregnancy test after 7 days. If you have your periods, you can take another course of medicine from 2nd day. Archana gupta.

Hi I am pregnant with 2nd baby by 10 weeks, 1st was through c sec in dec 2014 due to non progress of labour. I am considering abortion as I am not prepared for the pregnancy physically and mentally. Please suggest if the abortion can happen with pills (if yes until how many weeks it is possible) or else I will have to go with suction method. Is an abortion safe and are there any side effects of it. Thanks.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, FCPS, DGO, Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning (DFFP)
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
1) Whether one is ready physically and mentally is to be decided before pregnancy as many family planning methods are available 2) Everything in life has side effects same way abortion 3) can not be done by tablets now and if you delay even suction may not remain as option 4) if interested in pregnancy anytime in future better to continue this.

I am 30 years old married female and from last 1 month am having white watery discharge (not very thick) coming out of vagina, sometimes it's a bit smelly n sometimes it's not. Also, I have pain inside the left side of the lower abdomen. The discharge is there on every day basis.

MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MBBS, Post Doctoral Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine, Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery
Gynaecologist, Pune
WE TREAT DISCHARGE WHEN ONLY THE BELOW THINGS HAPPEN.... EITHER IT SMELLS BAD, OR IT CAUSES ITCHING OR IT NEEDS CHANGE OF PAD. IF THESE THREE THINGS ARE NOT THERE THAT MEANS YOUR DISCHARGE IS NORMAL. WHITE DISCHARE IS A COMMON THING HAPPENING TO FEMALES. JUST MAINTAIN PROPER HYGIENE AND CLEAN YOUR VAGINA FREQUENTLY. ALTERNATIVELY YOU CAN USE VAGIWASH SOLUTION TO CLEAN VAGINA

I am six months pregnant, I want to know sometime I feel pressure lower there nd I get terrified that something is going to drop. Is it really weird at this stage. I just had my anomaly usg nd everything is normal. Nd also I feel my baby only n the right side. My placenta is left lateral grade 1.

MBBS, DGO, DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology)
Gynaecologist, Chennai
Feeling pressure in the lower abdomen at this stage of pregnancy may indicate that your cervix may be short. See the scan report and if cervix length is more than three cms don't worry. It is due to your baby's head pressing lower abdomen and you are very sensitive to feel it. Any doubt consult your obstetrician.
